The Establishment Versus Elon Musk

In our last post (America's Conflicting Ideological Goals), we expanded on the contradictions highlighted in this tweet.

Another American contradiction is our government's relationship with Elon Musk, as Steve Sailer pointed out recently ("Why Is Biden Subsidizing and Undermining Musk Simultaneously?") [Emphasis ours]:

One reason why American corporations have shipped so many factory jobs overseas is because of civil rights laws that put the corporation on the hook for “hostile environment” discrimination damages whenever low brow blue collar guys quote their favorite raps songs to each other.

Remarkably, Tesla runs a giant factory employing 22,000 auto workers in the expensive San Francisco Bay area.

Tesla is now extremely deep-pocketed, with a market capitalization of $750 billion compared to $300 billion for mighty Toyota, $75 billion for Daimler-Benz, and $50 billion for Ford. Not surprisingly, when a Latino worker says something to a black worker that might sound racist out of context, lawsuits are filed. One black elevator operator sued and won $137 million dollars in damages. Tesla offered to settle for $15 million or appeal. The lucky stiff pressed his luck and was awarded $3 million on appeal.

Now the Biden Administration is piling on [...Sailer quotes from this NYT article about a new federal civil rights lawsuit against Tesla]

It’s interesting how dependent the Biden Administration is upon Elon Musk. His SpaceX launched 64% of the world’s rockets into space in 2022 and Musk’s provision of Starlink satellite communications may have saved Ukraine from losing its war in the early weeks. And Biden’s aggressive plan to push America to going to all electric new cars in the 2030s is heavily dependent upon Tesla continuing to push the envelope by driving down manufacturing costs.

And yet, the Biden Administration also seems out to get Musk at the same time.

Why is the Biden Administration shoveling huge sums into Musk’s pockets at the same time its attempting to pester Musk’s enterprises like Lilliputians trying to tie down Gulliver?

I’m sure I will be informed by commenters that it’s all part of a complex and deviously brilliant master plan of evil hatched by the shadowy figures behind Biden.

Or then again, it could be that there is no master plan, just stupidity.

Elon Musk Reins In The Establishment

As former Russian President and current Deputy Chairman of Russia's Security Council Dmitry Medvedev pointed out earlier this month, Elon Musk also prevented the Biden Administration's Ukrainian proxies from launching a major attack on Crimea last year.

Elon Musk Exposes The Establishment

As Zero Hedge reported yesterday, Elon Musk has highlighted the ongoing invasion of America's southern border.

The border crisis appears to be more malice than incompetence by the Biden Administration, as our majority-Hispanic Border Patrol cuts razor wire and fist-bumps illegal aliens on their way through.

But Musk has also highlighted examples of our establishment's third world incompetence, such as New York City's failing infrastructure.

(Edit: That was an Elon Musk parody account. But let's keep this rolling anyway.)

The flooding in NYC subways wasn't a result of "climate change". The record for September rain in New York was set more than 140 years ago.

And it's not due to lack of funding either. It's due to incompetence and graft.

Elon Musk As Caesar

After reading to this point, you might be wondering if we'd be better off if Elon Musk were in charge. You're not alone. Joshua Abbotoy posted a similar idea on X:

The Elon as Caesar meme is willing itself into existence.

This is how Caesar happens. Degenerate republic fails to secure basic governmental good for its people. Strong man takes notice and starts fixing things. People’s acclaim cascades toward strong man, delegitimizing regime. Then there’s a show down; a contest to see who’s sovereign.

I don’t know exactly when it will happen, but our government’s current trajectory makes those events inevitable.

Ideally we'll see change within our current system, with Musk brought in, perhaps, as the Czar of getting things done, but if America continues on its current trajectory, Abbatoy's scenario isn't out of the realm of possibility.

Let's wrap this up with an update on a previous post.

Black Rifle Coffee Revisited

Back in March, we wrote about our bet against Black Rifle Coffee's parent company BRC, Inc. (BRCC) ("Fake And Gay").

BRCC closed at $5.14 on March 31st; it closed at $3.59 yesterday, and we exited our puts on it for a 53% gain.
