Riot Breaks Out In Portland As Antifa Activists Clash With Conservative Marchers

Members of Antifa clashed with members of the conservative group Patriot Prayer Saturday evening in Portland, Ore., forcing police to declare that a riot was taking place as officers fired paintballs filled with tear gas into the crowd, according to the Oregonian.

Scuffles broke out shortly after 6 pm local time as Antifa protesters pelted marchers from the conservative  group with eggs, water bottles and firecrackers as the marchers spilled out into downtown Portland for their legally permitted march in support of a conservative Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate. The march followed an afternoon rally at Terry Schrunk Federal Plaza, Reuters reported.

Officers seized weapons like utility knives, clubs and chemical sprays from Antifa protesters as they gathered nearby for their counter-rally.

Portland police eventually made four arrests during the demonstrations - though they said none of them were related to the day's events. Four others had to be taken to the hospital after being struck by projectiles.

The hostilities started escalating around 4 pm local time, as busloads of Patriot Prayer protesters arrived at Terry Schrunk Federal Plaza, while members of Antifa gathered for a counter-demonstration at Chapman Square, directly across the street.

There were roughly 150 Patriot Prayer protesters while the Antifa protesters numbered at least twice that. Still, the dueling protests were a fraction of an earlier march in support of immigrant families separated at the border, part of a wave of marches that unfolded in cities across the US. Nearly 5,000 people attended that event.

Patriot Prayer founder Joey Gibson, the organizer of the rally, said during a  rally that he wanted to "bring light into a city that's full of darkness". He bashed Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler and Oregon Gov. Kate Brown. Gibson is one of 13 candidates running for the GOP nomination to face off against Democratic Washington Senator Maria Cantwell.

Isn't antifa on a watch list? Or weren't they declared a terrorist group? I can't remember which... maybe it was both...

Either way, the bulk of them should be landing in gitmo about now since they were arrested last night. What, they weren't arrested?

Well, it's a conspiracy now... who didn't arrest them, and why? Time for a special prosecutor to sort this out... can't just let these terrorist antifa scum remain on the streets!

soros and his entire organization including his family are behind this.

They fund terrorists in the USA - .gov KNOWS about it and lets it happen anyway. It is because .gov has about 45 percent demoncrats - who are predisposed to allow soros to do what he will to advance their totalitarian dreams for the US.

It is past time to jail them all, soros on down, and if they are found to be behind any deaths - execute.

Q suggested that military intelligence has infiltrated antifa, and as a result, they won't be able to do much in the way of big stuff. Suspect that is why the guy with the backpack got detained immediately.

A comforting thought, and common sense when you think about it. Some government agency HAD to infiltrate these guys, as they are in open insurrection against the government.

Socialist Portland government won't let their police arrest the Antifa, although they could all have been arrested for Disturbing the Peace for starters.

You're either serious about public safety or you are abandoning your governmental duty to protect the public.  In Seattle and Portland where libetards rule you are not protected.

The media has chosen the anti freedom side (which calls freedom fascist.) They accuse a druggy-looking guy of being a trumpy when he attacks immigrants.

Theres something being set up. It’s like the lead up of the pro-slavery people attacking the abolitionists before the first revolution- but what’s happening smacks more of to the French Revolution; far more evil than ours.

We are “protected” by the constitution only so long as people believe in the sanctity of rights like those set out in the declaration.

Without that, our recourse shifts to the principals set out in the articles of confederation.

Trump is clearly the best president since Reagan at least. I’m personally shocked. But he can’t lead a patriotic movement because he’s in government. He can enforce laws punishing companies and execs for hiring illegals and then they will ALL leave, but he cannot attack the triad of media-academia& communist insurgency.

If the antifreedom guys get more support from government than the pro-freedom guys, then the constitution might come into effect again in a way that’s too late.

A leadership will emerge that understands the articles of confederation and the continental congress upon which the constitution is based.

Still-I don’t yet see a way out of this.

Reagan was never as much fun as Mr. T, was neutered after the assassination attempt, and was completely bogged-down by Iran-Contra.

I think his heart was possibly in the right place, but T seems to be the real Teflon President . . . so far, anyway.

I still struggle with the knowledge that it's probably all theater/WWE, though it's still top-notch entertainment.

. . . glad I'm old with no kids.

I'm right there with ya Branded - if I had kids and grand kids my world would be a very different place and I doubt I'd sleep very well. This place is so screwy now.

Also ~ Antifa thinks they won today

The Patriot Prayer group knows they restrained themselves.

If these idiots who are encouraged by that phat phuck Michael Moore keep it up, we are going to have to take this into our own hands.

Yessir. Not happily - but willingly. And Seriously.

I'd really like a peaceful resolution. Unfortunately, Marxism is as dangerous in a man as rabies in a dog, and I'm afraid there's no substitute for taking Ol' Yeller behind the barn...

A think this is a set up similar to the Reign of Terror, as it became known after the French revolultion. This does stink. It all stinks. I listened to an interview, twice, with Dr. Paul Craig Roberts on Caravan to Midnight, Episode 957 (not free but I think you can buy an episode if you don't want to subscribe). PCR sounded depressed. I don't think I have ever heard him sound that way before, in an interview. Basically he said the US no longer exists as we are not going by the Constitution.

As for how we get out of this? Good question. I think when sites like this and Infowars are taken down we will know that the side of freedom is losing and not winning.

Really like John Wells.

On a similar note to PCR, there's a BitChute Channel called Bombard's Body Language (she got booted from YT) who does body language analysis on political movers & shakers.

She did an hour long analysis on the Rosenstein/Wray questioning a few days ago.

When she got to Gowdy's questioning sequence, she really broke him down with some convincing stuff, essentially saying: the guy is severely depressed, like his entire belief system has been broken, that he's a person who now has to admit to himself just how corrupt the whole system is, and realizes that he was a part of if.

Not a big fan of Gowdy in the past, but she makes some good points, the man now looks broken, at least in the questioning sequence.

Here's the link:

HRH - please research The Administrative Procedures Act of 1946. That is when they really aborted the Constitution. We haven't been a Republic since then. People are starting to see this and why I think the wedge is being hammered into our society. It may end in a bloody battle but if we are going to have Liberty again, I hope it happens soon.

Feels bad man         : (

"when ANTIFA strikes just sit down and take the beating, video it from all angles show that they will use violence against people just sitting"

It won't be news until the conservatives fight back. See violent leftist infiltration of Trump rallies during campaign for examples.

Antifa knows it has allies in the corporate mainstream media as long as it shares the same goals, which is to discourage serious conservative candidates seeking national office.

The video that got the most media was that woman whose was attacked by the leftist mob outside a hotel. She was defenseless. Just saying you have to create the situation that when the media ignores it people freak out because it is clear as day it's horrific and their is no question of who is in the wrong. The great salt March Gahandi was in is the example.

I far prefer a surprise approach. Something like a bunch of martial arts experts mixed in. Spotters on rooftops.

It’s actually an incredibly easy and beautiful trap. They’re easy to trigger. They’re predictable in their evil and hate and they’re very, very overconfident.

By the way, I’m not advocating an attack. We are not served by instigating any violence: I’m talking about being able to embarrass the hell out of them, to show them to be cowards. But it’s true that if they attack, their intended victim would be prepared for self defense. And that’s not dumb.

No need getting your car trashed when you can take a bus.  I'm surprised somebody lawfully carrying concealed didn't act on the explosives thrown at them?…

The US media isn't portraying the truth about the violence that Maxine is inciting.  If I get called as a juror and see this, after securing a permit to exercise the 1stA, I'll find that the use of force under the 2ndA was justified.

I personally wouldn't attend one of these rallies, but on principle if somebody was attacked as they were and they exercised their right to defend themselves and I was a juror and there was an activist Californian prosecutor, I'd hang the jury and support the right to protest without being attacked in the streets and would conclude that the throwing of these objects constituted grave bodily harm and that the shooting was justified.   That is where this is heading.. that is where Maxine wants this destination.  I'd not be the useful idiot to complete that.. but be warned you come to my house and cross that doorstep with nefarious intent and express harm to me or the family.. you are done!!!

But yeah I'd not be the useful idiot.. but is coming soon.  This is the violence that Maxine wants.  If it gets crazy and this spills into my yard.. I'll come off the porch.
