The recent price increases by Apple, Microsoft, Dell and a slew of other companies - which blamed rising energy prices for price hikes which in some cases were as high as 25% - were a wake up call not only to the broader US population, which until now may have ignored the impact of soaring memory prices due to the ravenous, seemingly price indiscriminate demand by data centers.
