The Europeans are still mad and bitter over a Russian delegation having attended the G20 meeting in Asheville, North Carolina which happened about two weeks ago.

Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov made the unexpected Aug.29 into Sept.1 G20 appearance based on his official US invite, and then was warmly welcomed by US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent for a bilateral meeting. The Europeans then balked at the possibility that Siluanov might be in the traditional 'family photo' - but in the end he was not included.
