China's Housing Slump Deepens As Holiday Spending Softens

China’s Golden Week housing data highlights property-sector woes are deepening and will likely extend into 2026.

• New home purchases in 22 cities during Oct. 1-8 slumped 33%, measured by floor space, compared to the first seven days of October 2024, according to a survey from China Real Estate Information Corp.
