Three weeks ago, in an article listing a handful of so-called "lucky numbers", BofA's Michael Hartnett predicted, somewhat tongue-in-cheek, that if history is a guide then the S&P should peak around 9914 some time in September 2027, as the average gain in 14 US equity bull markets in past 100 years is 177% in 59 months (Of course, that assumes that what we are experiencing right now is a bull market as so many bears simply assign the relentless meltup to euphoric retail traders chasing the momentum or record liquidity and fiscal stimulus).
