Hartnett: "Gold To $6000 By Next Spring"
The latest Flow Show by BofA's Michael Hartnett hit early on Friday, so well before the post-Trump tweet rout that slammed stocks and sparked the biggest selloff in crypto history. So instead of discussing what may have been a record $150 billion in forced stock selling - or the record $20BN liquidation in digital gold, Hartnett focused on something more prosaic: plain old, traditional gold, and since most of the stuff about non-digital gold and its historic ascent above $4000 has already been said, Hartnett's latest note is brief.
He starts off by setting the week's "zeitgeist" based on a conversation with his brother in law which goes like this: "having lunch with X and he is asking should he invest in physical gold or silver or is it too late as his wine investments have been tanking?" (he must not own the 1945 Domaine de la Romanee-Conti).
