Many of us never participated in the hysteria of Covid over the last couple years, but those of us that have are making our way back to "normal", as mask mandates and even vaccine mandates are being lifted across the country.
But some of us aren't doing so well in breaking out of the psychosis. Take, for example, Joy Behar.
The View co-host said this week that she would continue to wear a mask "indefinitely" when she's in public places, despite cloth masks being found not to be effective for the Omicron variant and many states and municipalities lifting requirements, while case numbers plunge.
The best part is that Behar is "going rogue" because she doesn't trust the CDC. She said this week that she "was listening to her own guidance rather than the CDC's because the latter's were continuously changing," Fox News reported.
Behar said on her show: "Personally, I listen to the little voice in my head that doesn’t really follow 100% what they tell me because they keep changing it. A very short time ago, they were saying put the N95 masks on, and now make sure it’s a – and now they’re saying you don’t have to wear them anymore."
"So if I go on the subway, if I go in a bus, if I go into the theater … a crowded place, I would wear a mask, and I might do that indefinitely. Why do I need the flu or a cold even? And so I’m listening to myself right now. I don’t think it’s 100% safe yet," she continued.
CDC Director Rochelle Walensky is set to "soon put guidance in place" on new mask requirements, the report said. We won't tell Joy.
