For today’s CoTD from Deutsche Bank's Jim Reid, he highlights what respondents in the latest DB client survey see as the 15 largest risks for the year ahead (with the full list available in the report). Unsurprisingly, a technology bubble bursting tops the ranking: 57% of respondents included it among their three biggest risks. We’ve never seen a single risk score so far ahead of the rest entering a new year, making it very clearly the dominant concern for 2026.

More surprising, perhaps, is the second-ranked risk: a new Fed Chair pushing for aggressive rate cuts and triggering market turmoil. A private capital crisis completes the top three.
