Greek Thieves Drive Van Into Exposition Center, Make Off With ATM Machine

Remember the "Greekovery"? For those who may have forgotten, it is a scene straight out of Breaking Bad. Kathimerini reports:

Police on Monday were searching for the unknown assailants who drove a van through the front windows of the MEC exposition center in Paeania, eastern Attica, in the early hours and made off with a cashpoint machine that was located in the entrance.

Officers found the truck in Menidi, western Attica, a few hours later.

It had been burned to erase evidence, while the ATM was also found, broken into and empty of its contents.

Perhaps the most impressive in all of the above is that a Greek ATM machine had actual cash in it. If only their Cypriot peers were so lucky.
