Where is the ECB Gold Bar Weight List?
On its website, the ECB claims to champion transparency:
Transparency means that the central bank provides the general public and the markets with all relevant information on its strategy, assessments and policy decisions as well as its procedures in an open, clear and timely manner.
Today, most central banks, including the ECB, consider transparency as crucial."
However, by not revealing full details of its gold holdings or how much is held where, and by refusing to publish a gold bar list, the ECB seems to be merely paying lip-service to the concept of 'Transparency'.
