In His First Ever Tweet, Lloyd Blankfein Slams Trump's Climate Decision

Goldman CEO Lloyd Blankfein joined Twitter 6 years ago, in June 2011, and throughout that time he tweeted exactly zero times. He changed that today, when for the first time he took to twitter to slam Trump's decision to pull the United States out of the Paris climate change agreement, which he called “a setback for the environment and for the U.S.'s leadership position in the world.”

Blankfein joined Elon Musk, Jeff Immelt and the broader tech and corporate community, as well as global politicians, Democrats and mayors in slamming the climate call. Ironically, it is none other than Blankfein's former right hand man, Gary Cohn, who is Trump's chief economic advisors which begs the question: is Blankfein's critique just more carefully staged theater, meant to elevate the CEO of the "vampire squid" in the eyes of the general public and shape him into a kind, caring, nurturing idealist ready to carry the ideals of progressives everywhere, or is Trump's decision proof that the grip of the "Goldman cicle" is finally easing on Trump. It is notable that during today's ceremony, Cohn was part of a "stay-in" camp that included Trump's daughter Ivanka.

And speaking of "vampire squids", before Blankfein is raised on a progressive pedestal, in case someone is confused just who stood to benefit the most from the continuation of the "green" agenda, we urge you to reread Matt Taibbi's 2010 masterpiece, "The Great American Bubble Machine." Spoiler alert: it's Goldman Sachs.

A carbon tax would make us all – Americans and Nicaraguans alike -- subject to acute regulations through carbon use allotment – and would give every person on the whole planet the same allowed use for travel, food, water, gasolline, heating, cooling, farming… eventually making us all Third World indentured laborers. We would all be equal of course but some of us – the elites who could buy or trade for unused allotments -- would be more equal than others.  It is a freedom destroying tax which arbitrarily limits every man.

Agree whole heartedly, JS. It is an engineered decline by the tribe, beginning with Fed control of the currency in 1913  and ending with worldwide CO2 limitations on humanity in 2017.  And Goldman is always a major player. Al Gore's "Carbon Trading" Scam Reeks of Who Else? Goldman As Project Mayhem wrote a few years back: “Where would we be in a Zerohedge article without mention of the fraudsters at Goldman Sachs.  No doubt they are present in almost every evil or fraudulent enterprise known to man and global warming is no exception.  Certainly these charlatans plan on making billions trading hallucinated carbon credits on Maurice Strong's Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX).” now the possiblity of Goldman's Gary Cohn as Fed chair. God forbid it!

I thought we already had a "carbon" tax.  Last time I looked the govt still had a tax on petrol.  In our country they also have a tax on consumption.  Is that not also a form of "carbon tax"?They tax us when we earn.  They tax us when we spend.  And then they tax us again if we want nice things.  And they they tax us again if we want to survive.  And somehow all these taxes are still not enough.  Now they want to introduce a JAT and a YAT - a Just Another Tax and a Yet Another Tax.They inflate real estate so no-one can afford to live near where they work.  Then they tax us when we travel.  - oh, did you think that pricing structure was really just free-market supply-demand shit?  And there's nothing the town planners could have done about it, right?  Except charge for parking and tax when people travel.  If they really didn't like it then they'd go elsewhere, right?  It's important for people to travel 25 miles to work one way and then tax them becoz Glow Bull Warming!  And it's important for the Economy to have moar people but then those people are guilty of Glow Bull Warming.Welcome to the Guilt Industry.  Make people feel guilty for being alive and then charge them a Yet Another Tax.  Hey, it worked the last 666 times, it's bound to work a 667th time.

Fuck this guy. They were supposed to be setting up an exchange to trade carbon credits, whatever the fuck that means. Essentially, they get to trade an artificially scarce, government created out of thin air, make believe commodity at a guaranteed profit unless this happened. So they are complaining some kind of free money spigot was cut off. Fuck that guy.

ClimateThe ULTIMATE threatunmeasurable, ill defined and absolute in its destructive capacity, the mega corporations in league with government see it as the worlds best money printing machine and tool of oppression ever created. Russia, radical Islam, China, NK are all JV league in comparison as they can actually be defined, but CLIMATE?Climate is THE ultimate weapon to be used to threaten and effectively blackmail the world, and for indoctrinated progressives who have been religiously brought to believe that humans are the source of all evil, that the planet's interests are separate and superior to human's, and that OF COURSE we are destroying the planet and should suffer as a consequence. As with any religion, climate change is accepted and repeated as fact by people who have no earthly idea of what is or isn't fact, science or even temperature. Now we don't just have temperture, we have heat hot it FEELS. We are emotionally driven, threats exaggerated and solutions presented by government and mega corporations that only THEY can provide and that THEY can define.

They told Trump to do it. They own both Trump and Hillary. Their plan is for Trump to make a big fool of himself (along with the mainstream media attacking him at every turn) so they can discredit Republicans and patriots from getting elected in the future. Their plan is "convince America that Trump and all those who share his beliefs are massive idiots--->eventually build support for socialism in the name of "anti-Trump" -ism. This also builds more and more anti-Russia sentiment in America. Trump is the Trojan Horse. He has Goldmanites everywhere in his administration. You guys still cannot see this.

Agent Orange Trump has no beliefs and no morals. He is a fucking buffoon and a clown. The Deep State has made "President Trump". Problem with Trump is that he has no patient to complete his term and only then enrich himself and his rotten family like Obama does.I will be very surprised if Trump will complete his first year in the office.

Sure he cares about the climate. He wants all of the dirty poor rabble to die and disappear, leaving the planet a clean and pristine....for him and the few elite left relying on their servant robot army to provide their needs. Climate change is carpet bagging theft of wealth, leaving the rest of the world to starve. These people feel insulated from the world and see US as the threat, not the climate. WE are the climate threat, and the storm is brewing.
