Mysterious Hacker Leaks Emails Of Top US State Department Expert On Russia

Coming at a "sensitive" moment for US-Russian hacking diplomatic relations, on Friday Foreign Policy reported that emails belonging to a senior US State Department intelligence official involved in Russian affairs have been leaked by a hacker known as "Johnnie Walker." The official, whose work is focused on Russian domestic affairs and who was described to FT as “probably the top intelligence guy in the entire U.S. government on Russia [who] knows more than anybody about what’s going on there,” is said to have been particularly interested in Russian media and government reshuffling.

The emails which were sourced from a hacked nongovernmental account over a two-year period, were sent to “an unknown number of recipients" and while the leaks were first released on July 10, they did not gain widespread attention until Friday when both FP and Newsweek commented on the hack.

In a letter announcing the alleged hacking, Johnnie Walker said that the leak would provide evidence for establishing what was called “agenda formation in many countries worldwide, especially where the situation is insecure.” The sender also claimed that the US State Department official was in contact with various intelligence agencies, including the CIA, as well as “mainstream media, NGOs, and international funds.”

Although the alleged hacking victim holds “a senior position in the State Department’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research” and while name was disclosed in the leaked emails, Foreign Policy outlet did not disclose the name, citing a request from the state department, which has so far neither confirmed nor denied the hack. The leaked correspondence was released online on Pastebin although its authenticity remains unclear for now. The description to the three archives available for download also adds the name of the alleged agent.

As part of his introduction to the leaked emails, the mysterious hacker says that “perhaps you know that the U.S. State Department has a direct bearing on the agenda formation not only at home but throughout the world. Now you can make sure it’s true." Below is the preface that "Johnnie Walker" posted on the pastebin:

Perhaps you know that the U.S. State Department has a direct bearing on the agenda formation not only at home but throughout the world.

Now you can make sure it's true. Let me show you the correspondence between the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Agency Robert P. Otto and his colleagues, CIA officers and other intelligence agencies, as well as representatives of mainstream media, NGOs, international funds and think tanks.

With the respect for privacy I've deleted his correspondence with his wife and relatives. The rest of emails will give evidence of who is responsible for different information campaigns, the so-called mythmaking and essentially engaged in the promotion of "American values" throughout the world.

As a reminder, two days before the find round of the French election, a dump of internal documents of then-French presidential hopeful Emmanuel Macron was also released on Pastebin, although it is unclear if the two releases are related. Apart from the name of the hacker’s target, the content of the letters has not been published in the Western media, although Russia's Kommersant claims it has access to the files.

The Russian newspaper says that the intel official sent his colleagues links to articles from different Russian news outlets, including Novaya Gazeta, The New Times, Vedomosti, and RBK, among others. Among the topic of particular interest for the State Department official were social media accounts of Russian officials, staff re-shuffling in governmental bodies, and the influence of some state officials. According to the report, it is also unclear if it was a single leak or only one in a series of hacking attacks.

As Redditor NathanOhio summarized overnight, the facts so far appear to be as follows:

  1. A hacker going by the name "Johnnie Walker" has hacked a senior state department official's personal Gmail account.
  2. The official has not been publicly named, but is claimed to be the foremost expert on Russia.
  3. Two years worth of emails were stolen and include exchanges between the victim and "CIA officers and other intelligence agencies, mainstream media, NGOs and international funds” that would “give you evidence of who is responsible for agenda formation in many countries worldwide, especially where the situation is insecure.”
  4. A link to the email cache has been published by "an obscure website in Crimea" that the MSM claims is "financed by the Russian secret service, and its topics assigned by top political leadership in Moscow."

In retrospect, it appears that the email contents are relatively innocuous: as the Redditor notes:

Reading through some of the messages, it seems they are mostly discussions between various neocon academics and forwarding of articles. Most of these people rather than experts seem to be groupthinkers endlessly building up the walls of their own echo chamber.

Found a couple of things that are interesting. A Russian scholar "Valery Solovei" is sending Robert Otto a monthly report on Russia. Also, Otto and his buddies HATE John Kerry and continually refer to him as an idiot!

With the Trump administration neck-deep in Russia-hacking drama, we expect that this story, which somehow failed to make last week's news cycle will be among the main topics in the days ahead, with questions (and predetermined answers) over the identity (and nationality) of Johnnie Walker among the most discussed items.

The linked article is a good read, because it raises a question as to the origin and identity of those who refer to themselves as 'jew'. I think it is fair to say that 'jew' has nothing to do with Palestine. The term itself is a fraud. Judaism is linked to that kaballah and the talmud, and upon close examination we find a luciferian cult, where any larger creative force of having brought all of this into existence is so remote and unattached to the human being, this 'God' for all intents and purposes does not exist. Thus, the 'jew' makes themselves god, and have decided their cult/tribe is the supreme group, the one all others not part of the cult should be subjugated to. Given that the 'jew' rejects a personal God, their 'books' - unsurprisingly - devolve into an extremely hyper-materialistic focus, with no accounting for any afterlife. In other words, it is a mindset that this is all there is, so you might as well get what you want. The jew's legacy once they die is what they did to advance the cause of the next generation of cult members, so they can continue their obsession with materialistic pursuits. The jew god is lucifer. It's all there in the kaballah. The reader might not believe in the 'devil' as a personage, but the kaballah expressly deifies as the object of the jews' worship lucifer, satan, the devil, etc. Naturally, their kaballah portrays lucifer as good. Thus, we have this bizarre cult of ppl who are experts are converting the truth into a lie, good into evil, evil to good etc.And what is chilling is this is not just some cult of harmless wackos off in a corner somewhere. These 'jews' have insinuated themselves into every crevice of power in the world and literally dictate the price you pay for just about everything. They control the media and constantly message the world with evil is good and good is evil, to the extent modernly it is now a matter of controversy to state there are 2 sexes, male and female. That is a purely jewish, luciferian development. The article is highly speculative, and doesn't provide the reader with any facts to prove up its thesis, but it raises the question about who the 'jews' really are. 2000 years ago, there were no such thing as 'jews'. Further, the ancient myths the modern jew co-opts, to place their origin in Palestine, is highly suspect, and arguably utter fiction on several key particulars. It is a matter not in dispute the books of the old testament were penned 1500 years after the alleged events occurred, so there is no possible way to corroborate the testimony of the old testament author one way or the other. To the extent the article relies in this document to 'make its case' as to determining the origin of the modern jew, like a Janet Yellen, for example, is not the best way to go about it. Archeological, physical, genetic data, or 'triangulating', as it were, independent literary data from third party sources that refer to an event are far more useful.Lastly, the article does mention that there were jews who did promote other places for the 'jews' to call their home, but the truth is, if you read more on the subject, is the zionists, who came from Russia in the 1870s, were fanatically obsessed with Palestine, and shamed Hertzl to an early grave for proposing the Uganda settlement. Nothing but Palestine would do, and they would get it by hook or crook - and those crooked bastards surely did.As to the Russia factor, the theory the jews attacked Russia and killed 60,000,000 of its ppl as an act of retribution for the Pale of Settlement is an enlightening fact. Given the jews' default satanic disposition and worship of evil, they would not like it very much when a Christian social order keeps them in check. The Achilles' heel of the jew is they are parasites, and depend on the productivity of others. Left alone to their own devices, with their insane and unworkable economic theories, once isolated and gathered together under one roof, without the substantial aid from somewhere else, their own social order will just totally collapse, which is what happened to the Soviet Union. So here comes Putin, reviving Russia, interfering with the jew world order, so the jews, rightfully, and presciently called "the synagogue of satan", restoring the Christian church, etc, and indeed this sparks the blind rage of the jew. It comes as no surprise that now they lash out, and lie, deceive, and conspire to make war with Russia. What is not so surprising, but very disturbing, is even now, after all this time, with the jews manipulating the masses via their media, and playing their political prostitutes in government, the majority of Americans have no idea why they keep seeing all this hysterical nonsense about Russia. How many more generations will Americans, yea the entire world, be played by this demonic death cult? With so much recent history on the table (1900-2017) one would think nobody would want a jew anywhere near education, media, courts, government and banking, but sadly, the masses still cower in fear at the prospect of being called an 'anti-semite' while they sit idly by and watch the jew destroy the world they live in.

Interesting post......I never really understood what Judiasm offered anybody until I read your post promise of an afterlife............we are but food for exist as a Jew to help the herd or the colletive, to solely promote the jew tribe or hive.  Explains Jewish Bolshevism or Communism.  Explains the Protocls.  You wonder why anyone who isn't Jewish would convert to Judiasm.  What you say especially explains why jews love to take advantage of goyim in business matters and further, why they are typically so materialistic...............that's all there is for and power in this 3 dimensional world.........we can see how they control this country by virtue of how they want the USA to destroy Russia..........they have a sordid history with Russia............a friend told me that Alexandar Solgynitzen's last book, Our 200 Years Together, which is a history of Russia and Jews living together, is banned in the USA...........people should look on can't find it...........hasn't been translated into English..........the jews have squelched it because it is too anti-semitic.............makes you wonder the hell what it says.........

When I read "A hacker going by the name "Johnnie Walker" has hacked a senior state department official's personal Gmail account", the first thought that came to mind was why does a high ranking State Department Official have a GMAIL account?HOW ABSOLUTELY STUPID CAN PEOPLE BE?????? Of course this was at a time of EPIC STUPIDITY in America during the OBAMA/CLINTON/KERRY reign of terror. It really is time to start arresting and indicting people who have committed high crimes of TREASON.

Just fyi. Almost all official email accounts are through Gmail now. You wouldn't ever know either because email addresses are still for instance even though the actual inbox is on Google servers.Think about that for a moment.I work for the Dept. Of Interior and we've had it since about 2012. I thought it was bizzare when the change happened and had assumed it was only for those of us in non-sensitive positions....apparently not.

building walls and shooting people seems premature before the lies about the russian hacking story and the truth behind it (dnc, police and fbi corruption, probable revenge murder of seth rich, zionist control of clandestine services, attempts to remove trump from office) are revealed for all to see and understand.then bust 9-11.

To consumers Google is email and search, while Amazon is a web store. To corporations - they are data storage and processing giants. Both offer API level access to servers that they rent out. If the client is paranoid about security, he can layer in his own encryption. No problem with that whatsoever. My company recently migrated email and backup systems to Google, and render farm to Amazon. Internally it all appears as if no change has taken place. All the old address notations and UNC paths are in effect, but are going to a different location. It is cost effective. Competition drives down prices significantly and the bill is about 1/20th of what it used to be just 5 years ago. Pretty amazing. Sure beats investing in periodic hardware upgrades that go obsolete and become ladfill material within 4 years. Now a pair of pipeline programmers are able to deliver what required a team of 20 people a decade ago.Google and Amazon aren't what consumers imagine them to be. They are data centralization firms. In laymen terms, we could all have wells for water and propane generators for electricity, but it is more cost effective to deliver those services via pipes and cables from utility companies. Timesharing is where all the savings originate. The services both companies provide are secure. The only way to mess up is to do something stupid. As my favorite hacker/social engineer Kevin Mitnick would say - it's easier to hack a user than a computer and many of those intrusions media portrays as "hacks" are actually psychology exploits. Guessing passwords, finding documents containing vital information, or accessing backups that haven't been properly disposed of.Long time ago hackers conducted an experiment where they deliberately planted USB sticks in parking lots of banks (often with labels designed to stir up curiosity) to see whether employees would be stupid enough to plug them into their work computers. The keys were programmed to  send a ping back to the home base saying: "Yep. Somone just did what you thought they would do." Even though the keys contained software, the actual "hack" relied on social engineering.Email spam with virus attachments - same thing. The hack is not the program, but the wording that makes you click on things you shouldn't click. But to media it's all hackers, hackers, evil hackers. Computer - bad! Abacus - good!

You wouldn't believe the annual cyber security training they put us though just to check out email and type up documents. One guy while changing passwords and going through all the mundane bullshit routinely chants a mantra: "Thank you Hillary, you stupid bitch for this training which which we are about to recieve."  We've often talked about how a minor misstep by any of us would likely land us in Federal Pound Me In The Ass Prison while The Bitch walks the Earth a free woman. Hell for all I know I've already committed a felony or some shit for posting here...whatever fuck it. You're all taxpayers and should know.

Banks can create money out of thin air but only for so long as the money remains in the bank's accounts, which it usually doesn't, since people don't take out a loan at 25% to earn interest at 0%.Once you withdraw that money from the bank (either in cash - and the bank cannot create bank notes out of thin air, it has to buy those from the Fed - or by transfer to another bank, in which case the bank has to transfer the funds to the other bank through the Fed) it's not "free" anymore.  When a bank creates money out of thin air (by making a loan), on its books its treated both as an asset (the loan) and a liability (cash deposited in the borrower's account).  Even though in many cases, the loan proceeds never even go into the bank's own accounts - e.g. if you buy a car, the bank pays the proceeds directly to the car dealer, who uses them to pay down the loan it got from its bank.If it were really that easy everyone would be starting their own bank.  It's not THAT hard to form a bank (sure it might cost a million but if you can print money for free that certainly wouldn't stop anybody with a million).

Virtually all of the installed base (more than 3 or so years old) of ATMs and point of sale terminals are still XP-based.  Microsoft agreed to provide "quiet" support for this base until at least 2019.  Banks provide some of the worst cyber security...4 digit pin codes, passwords that dont even require mixing of case or alphs-numeric...really basic stuff....only limited application of 2-factor authentication and so on.It's almost as if banks were asking for it, but I suspect it's just in-built cheapness of bankers as such.  Why spend the money to upgrade systems, better security software, etc.?  After all, I've got Uncle Sugar backing me up.  What, me worry?

Interesting. I'll freely admit that while I'm a tad bit more literate than most of my peers when it comes to computer hardware (i built my current pc from scratch), my abilities in the arena of digital kung fu are sorely lacking.  The equivalent of a nuclear physicist capable of building a nuke with no knowledge of military strategy or tactics other than that of a layman. All I know, is my inbox at work is most certainly gmail.

Lol, you mean, except for the SoS who had a couple of servers in her basement.

Ya know, I was thinking about this while reading the article:

What if Johnnie Walker was telegraphing that he was 'hacking' personal accounts of State Dept personnel in the past?

Doesn't really matter what sort of pings you are seeing.

Could be anything really...

Per another site US GENERAL Robt Otto as retired Intel Air Force, prime communique is with RUSSIAN Professor Valery Solovei (male & communist sympathizer) of a Moscow think tank. And that the 2 of them set up and manage the false "Russia did it" campaign to be used by CNN WaPo NYT NBC ABC PBS RollingStone etc to undermine the new govt under elected Prez DJT.

Reputedly Genl Otto worked under Obama-Kerry but quit his official post after the election and went deep state invisible in the secret Intel agency within the State Dept where he continues to lead the mockingbird mind control "Russia did it" narrative.

The reputed basis of Otto and his DEMOCRAT PARTY COLLUSION with RUSSIA's Professor is that Americans are sheeple who only believe the Reality created for them on TV.

The article also points out how easy it for DEMOCRATS to mind program USA:
--> CNN prez wed to Hilary's deputy Secretary
--> CBS prez brothers with Obama's Aide
--> ABC prez brother to Obama Advisor
