Swedish Government On Verge Of Collapse After Admitting 'Accidental Leak' Of Entire Nation's Info

Sweden’s government is being quietly rocked by a major scandal. So far the market has paid it little regard, but, as Citi warns, it may soon escalate...

Sweden appears to have accidentally leaked the details of almost all of its citizens. And now it's getting worse as the leak happened in 2015, but only emerged last week. As The Indepedent reports,

The leak allowed unvetted IT workers in other countries to see the details of people registered in Swedish government and police databases.

It happened after the government looked to outsource data held by the Transport Agency, but did so in a way that allowed that information to be available to almost anyone, critics have claimed.

The opposition is seeking to boot out the ministers of infrastructure, defence and the interior – Anna Johansson, Peter Hultqvist and Anders Ygeman, respectively – for their role in outsourcing IT-services for the Swedish Transport Agency in 2015.

Prime Minister Stefan Lofven admitted Monday his country and its citizens were exposed to risks by potential leaks as a result of the contract.

"This is a disaster," Swedish PM Lofven said. "This has exposed Sweden and Swedish citizens to risks."

The minority government has said that contract process – won by IBM Sweden – was speeded up, bypassing some laws and internal procedures in a manner that may have led to people abroad, handling servers with sensitive materials.

As Reuters reports, the scandal has raised questions about the way it has been handled within the government. The security police informed the Justice Ministry in late 2015 but Lofven said he only found out about it early this year.

Lofven said Anna Johansson, minister of infrastructure and responsible for the Transport Agency, had not passed information on to him.

Johansson on Sunday in turn blamed one of her former state secretaries for not informing her about the scandal.

"I wish I had been informed earlier," Lofven said while adding he had no plans to fire any ministers. "I have full confidence in them (ministers) until I say otherwise."

However, as The Independent notes, the centre right opposition Alliance, comprising the Moderate, Centre, Liberal and Christian Democrat parties, has taken aim at Lofven's cabinet...

"It is obvious (they) have neglected their responsibility. They have not taken action to protect Sweden's safety", Centre party leader Annie Loof told a news conference.

Parliament is in recess but the opposition parties will submit a request to the speaker to summon legislators for a vote within 10 days.

If the opposition gets a majority the ministers will have to resign, a likely outcome as the nationalist Sweden Democrats have said they will support a vote of no-confidence.

"There are only two alternatives, either a new election or he himself (Lofven) resigns," Sweden Democrats leader Jimmie Akesson said.

"It feels like it's possible, yes," Anna Kinberg Batra, leader of the Moderates said.

As Citi notes, SEK has strengthened so far this week and no dramatic headlines seem to be impacting the currency yet, but some political noise may be on the way.

IBM Sweden says it never comments on relations with clients. The government said it had no comment pending a later statement, which Swedish Prime Minister Lofven just announced that he will hold a press conference on July 27th at 10am CET.

Finally we wonder how long before Sweden blames Russia for leaking this 2-year-old secret.

Terror attack on Sweden 'price of failed immigration policies' Sex crimes, jihadists engulf once-peaceful country A truck attack on pedestrians in a crowded shopping district of Stockholm, Sweden, shows all the signs of Islamic terrorism, and the Swedish government bears the blame for importing large numbers of potential terrorists, security experts tell WND. At least four people were reported dead Friday, with 15 injured, as a man hijacked a beer truck and plowed it into a crowd of people before crashing into a department store on Stockholm’s busiest street. An aerial video of the scene shows hundreds of panicked pedestrians running for their lives. http://www.wnd.com/2017/04/terror-attack-on-sweden-price-of-failed-immi… Could it be the Swedes have Pakis in 'sensitive' IT positions hacking, stealing, leaking info also?

politicians and other govt officials are too stupid to use computers.  they should be reverted back to paper and pencil (and committees should ensure that the pencils aren't too sharp so they won't hurt themselves).  use of computers should be restricted to millenials with iphones and anyone with an advanced degree in the sciences.

BFD. The Swedish government has already F’d all its citizens. It will be the Islamic Republic of Sweden soon anyway   And I do not look forward to the dark-skinned, coarse-haired Swedish Burkini Team… I will have to switch from beer to Everclear then.

Headline: "Swedish Government On Verge Of Collapse!"I fail to see anything in this article that backs up that click-bait headine. Just because the political opposition is calling for their heads, is nowhere close to a "collapse". Otherwise, you might as well make a headline "US Government On Verge Of Collapse", since the same political games are being played here.

no dramatic headlines seem to be impacting the currency yetIBM ... never comments... The government ... no comment... PENDING

This is the sad state of currency, assets, wealth, FIAT, that they rely on headlines to derrive their value.  A child could see, this is a disaster waiting on a headline...One wrong move, and she all goes up in smoke.  Prepare yourselves for the hour that approaches, the great flash crash. Here's a couple headlines for yeah,

Give back to her as she has given; pay her back double for what she has done. Pour her a double portion from her own cup. Therefore in one day her plagues will overtake her. In one hour your doom has come! All your luxury and splendor have vanished. In one hour such great wealth has been brought to ruin! In one hour she has been brought to ruin!  Because you have kept My command to endure with patience, I will also keep you from the hour of testing that is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.…

And THAT is the 800 lb gorilla in the Obamacare room. With all the talk (not debate) surrounding the issue, still nobody raises the point of Obama's destruction of doctor-patient confidentiality. Obamacare mandated "all your personal info are belong to us". Still haven't heard Cheetoh Jesus or any swamp critters mention it.The system was designed to fail under cover of pseudo-morality, with the clear intent of using it as a massive data collection service for the surveillance state.Sweden's incompetent blunder only exposed info from the DOT.US Federal Agencies have already been hacked and personal info of govt workers compromised. How long til the medical records of every mandated Obamacare patient are exposed?

Not a law reference, but a SOW from HHS via 2 more agencieshttps://www.fbo.gov/index?s=opportunity&mode=form&id=77b0f00d5508ca8cef… a long time since this was a hot topic. Here's an old Breitbart article about the data mining -http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2013/09/18/obama-administration…. note this is a different datamine than the botched website sharing data with DoubleClick.

Nordic socialism actually worked pretty well from the point of view of the Scandanavians, years ago, but its success critically depended on a very homogenous population where everyone was willing to shoulder exhorbitant tax rates in exchange for cradle to grave state benefits. Since everyone more of less saw eye to eye, there was relatively little gaming of the system and the people there lived comfortable (if constrained) lives. Of course, in this context "homogenous" means "like-minded and from similar backgrounds", which means that Scandanavian socialism was pretty much a closed country club, and Jews were initially not invited. The goal of the leftists in these countries was, of course, to change all that so the Jews were allowed in and allowed to positions where they could favor other tribe members.

Unfortunately for the Swedes (and the Danes, Norwegians and to a lesser extent the Finns), the (((tribe))) figured out that in the future, once the (((chosen elites))) have taken power over the dumbed down mestizo race poisoned by the multicultural cures foisted upon them by the Frankfurt School, its best that the remaining Nordics not remember that their old socialism was a damn sight better than the new Jewish socialism that was jammed down their throats. Yahweh forbid the mestizo sheep might begin to demand the same quality of life! So, best rewrite history with the help of the Scandanvian (((circle of like minded))) academics and MSM.

Like the ancient ruins in Syria that might call in question the Jewish mythology, Scandanavian socialism had to go and Soros stepped up to the plate to inject the required immigrant poison.

It only appeared to work well, because Swedish capitalism was bringing in very large amounts of money per capita (export economy), and Noregian oil also brought in very large amounts of money per capita. However, now that these commodities aren't as hot as they used to be, and socialism predictably killed the natural desire to think long-term, Scandanavian governments are faced with declining birthrates, declining tax revenues from the traditional cash cows (Nokia, etc.), and increasing liabilities from the welfare state.

Also, note that the great companies that were propping up Sweden were all started before the socialist programs were introduced. Innovation has stagnated due the the fundamentally anti-society, anti-future nature of socialism, which incentivizes people to live for today because any savings for tomorrow or for children will be stolen through taxation.

The failure of Scandanavian socialism was imminent already, but mass-importing foreigners was the cherry on top of a mountain of bad policies. Good riddance - lets see who socialism is firmly in the grave.

Just not to NJ in order to continue "higher education"...at Princeton...lol...The university told The College Fix in an emailed statement that 'Princeton's program is similar to programs at other colleges and universities.' It added that it is 'consistent with established best practices that encourage both men and women to create and foster a culture in which there is no place for interpersonal violence and where safe and healthy interpersonal relationships are the norm.' There does not appear to be a >>>female equivalent of the role<<< at the university."...because males (especially WHITE MALES) are beasts...or sumpin ;-)http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4729102/Princeton-challenge-gen…

re: "They should take opportunity to elect some nationalists.   Praying they wake up."YES, People have been awakened!!!Let me present Up-to-Date FACTS regarding Sweden:>>>A recent poll released July 8, 2017 states the following -   *More Than Half Would Receive Fewer Refugees in Sweden *"The percentage who want Sweden receives fewer refugees has increased from 44 to 52 percent since last november, showing the SvD/SIFO's poll.   The basic explanation is that policy changed from november 2015, says political scientist Marie Demker."... The SVD/SIFO's poll also shows that the gender gap is huge when it comes to attitude to refugees. 62 percent of men want   Sweden to receive fewer refugees, versus 42 percent among women.... ""https://www.svd.se/sommar-almedalen-flyktingsifo-over-halften-vill-ta-e…>>>The latest June 2017 Voter Poll by NOVUS:"This past Thursday NOVUS released it's 2nd June Voter Poll in which it, among other things, shows that the SD-Sweden Democrats , who are continuing to increase, are the largest party among Men and Working Class.– A large group are voting for the party because they don't see that there is any other possible party to vote for. The credibility of the so-called established parties have fallen sharply, says Torbjörn Sjöström CEO of Novus, to SVT.If there was a parliamentary election today, every fifth Swedish Voter would vote SD; 27.6% of Men and 29.6% of the Working Class. Among those who earn between 400 000SEK and 600 000SEK, SD is the largest party. And the myth that Swedish Democrat voters would consist of a high proportion of low-skilled workers is not the case – SD is greatest among those who finished high school. The largest party among those with only a primary education are Social Democrats. In the poll SD increases slightly less than 1% from the previous poll and land at 20 percent. The Conservatives will continue to lose and get 15.9%, while the Social Democrats remain unchanged at 27.3%.http://avpixlat.info/2017/06/29/sd-storst-bland-arbetare-och-man/ btw, hope you folks appreciate the time/translations I supplied here.it takes some effort, but as I say, Lux Mea Culpa.X-

I'd say they're still sleeping.  That's not a big enough number and most of the population (+80%) should be in favor of deporting, not simply decreasing numbers.  They're in for years of more doom because they are way too tolerant of their oppressive, out-of-control uber-liberal government.
