Sessions Declares War On Leakers, Threatens Press With "Criminal Action"

President Donald Trump’s strategy of publicly shaming Attorney General Jeff Sessions to force him to aggressively pursue the leakers who have been a persistent source of agitation for his administration appears to have worked. After announcing during a press conference last month that he wanted Sessions “to go full-bore” in his pursuit of leakers, the “beleaguered” attorney general appears to be doing exactly that.

During a live press briefing on Friday that was tantamount to a declaration of war, Sessions said the Department of Justice will be cracking down on leaks of classified information, and is considering subpoenaing journalists to force them to reveal their sources in the Trump administration.

Furthermore, the attorney general boasted that scrutiny of leakers is already a priority for the DOJ, claiming that the number of open leak investigations has tripled during the Trump administration. Under the new policy framework, the FBI will create a counterintelligence unit specifically to manage these cases, according to the Hill.

“We are taking a stand,” Mr Sessions said. “This culture of leaking must stop," according to the Financial Times.

“These leaks hurt our country,” said Mr Sessions. “Every agency — and Congress — must do better.”

Sessions said the department will prioritize “unauthorized” disclosures – we assume this means leaks that aren’t a part of official communications department strategy which is…probably all of them – and that the DOJ “will not hesitate” to press criminal charges.

“At a press conference with Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, Sessions announced that the Justice Department, FBI and government intelligence agencies will begin directing resources into the investigations of government leaks and would prioritize prosecuting those that pass sensitive information along to the press.

The national security division of the Justice Department will prioritize cases involving unauthorized disclosures, Sessions said, and the departments “will not hesitate to bring lawful and appropriate criminal charges against those who abuse the public trust.”

Repeating an oft-used Trump talking point, Sessions said the first amendment doesn’t protect reckless disclosures of sensitive information that ultimately puts lives at risk.

“We respect the important role the press plays and we’ll give them respect, but it’s not unlimited,” Sessions said. “They cannot place lives at risk with impunity. We must balance the press’ role with protecting our national security and the lives of those who serve in the intelligence community, the Armed Forces and all law-abiding Americans.”

According to the Hill, the flood of leaks has angered many who see it as a thinly veiled attempt by the deep state, which continues to be staffed with Obama administration holdovers, to hamstring the president and orchestrate a silent coup.

Sessions said his deputy director Rod Rosenstein and incoming FBI director Christopher Wray will oversee the classified leaks investigations.

In what the Daily Caller described as an “ominous” statement from Coats, the DNI warned leakers from within the intelligence community that “we will find you” should they continue to distribute classified information.

“For those out there who may be listening or watching these announcements understand this: if you improperly disclose classified information, we will find you,” Coats said. “We will investigate you. We will prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law, and you will not be happy with the result.”

The campaign of damaging leaks carried out by the intelligence communities and Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team has fostered an atmosphere of hysteria among the American public by offering vague aspersions about collusion with the Russians, but no real evidence. The best example being the disclosure of the June 2016 meeting at Trump Tower that was organized by Donald Trump Jr. and is currently at the center of several of the ongoing probes. Earlier this week, Trump was dealt his latest embarrassment when the Washington Post published transcripts of calls with the leaders of Mexico and Australia earlier this year.

When Trump first started attacking Sessions last month, some speculated that the diminutive southerner would never work his way out of the dog house. But judging by Sessions' aggressive tone, it's likely his boss will be pleased (we'll likely hear from Trump, who never misses an opportunity to bash the leakers, shortly).

The only honorable thing Jeff Sessions can do is this: 1. For a couple of weeks, completely avoid any and all contacts with Trump. 2. Un-recuse himself and Fire Robert Mueller 3. Make an announcement that it was HIS decision, and his only. 4. In a couple of days, resign, retire, and go fishing. Looney  ;-)

I admit that I had great hope for Sessions as AG and now suffer great disappointment. I can understand Trump getting side swiped by the appointment of Mueller. But the complete failure of Trump to simply fire every Obama staffer in the White House on day one is a total mystery. Now this side show by Sessions. I’m not impressed. Telling me what you're gonna do is meaningless. Show me what you did. Show me pictures of leakers in hand cuffs. That’s what I want to see. Show me pictures of Clintons in hand cuffs. That’s what America wants to see. Until then, it’s BULLSHIT!

There is no reality in any of the theater that is being presented.  Its all been orchestrated to give false hope, belief that things have a chance to change for the better. Anything to keep the masses on the treadmill. Those that see behind the curtain and attempt to out the truth are destroyed. Those that play along or are no threat are allowed to continue. Things can change but only if the masses realize they have nothing to live for but truth, integrity, virtue, God. Instead most are too concerned with the survival of themselves and their own to take the risk of actually doing something meaningful to stop all this. Die unto yourself and be free of this world-  live free.

It does indeed appear that MSM's new mission in life is to shape a "FAKE NEWS" narrative in support of the DEEP STATE worldview. We see "NARATIVE SHAPING" FAKE NEWS everywhere with the Russian narrative being a prime example. I think the key term everyone needs to better understand is the term WORLDVIEW. For example, what is MSM's worldview?A worldview is the framework from which we view reality and make sense of life and the world. For example, a two-year-old believes he’s the center of the world, a secular humanist believes that the world is all that exists and a Buddhist believes he can be liberated from suffering by self-purification. Someone with a biblical worldview believes his primary reason for existence is to love and serve God.Whether conscious or subconscious, every person has some type of worldview. A personal worldview is a combination of all you believe to be true and what you believe becomes the driving force behind every emotion, decision and action. Therefore, it affects your response to every area of life: from philosophy to science, theology and anthropology to economics, law, politics, art and social order — everything. It is the interpretive “lenses” we use for understanding what we believe is real. From our personal worldview spring all of our actions and thoughts, and it is in unguarded moments when we can really see what we believe to be true.

‘Okay, kids. It’s time to stop.’

‘Kids. I’m warning you.’

‘Stop. That. This. Instant.’

‘Do you want a time out?’

‘This is the last time I’m saying this.’

‘You’re in big trouble.’

‘I’m giving you to three. One. Two. Three.’

(‘Honey. You take over, will you.’)

(‘Okay, sweetheart.)

‘Okay, kids. It’s time to stop.’

Hey couldn't have said it any better myself. We have a serial liar in the WH who has obstructed justice, Trump's nuts are clearly in Mueller's vice grips with investigations into his money laundering deals with corrupt Russian mafia types and Oligarchs associated with Putin. I expect the righty nutties here, who would rather keep their heads in the sand with all things Trump, to respond with their usual hate filled

Well, the Grand Jury Mueller has impaneled suggests a significant escalation of the investigation because it means Mueller clearly has specific targets in mind now. He and his team are no doubt following many leads, but some of them are now concrete enough to begin serious investigations of possible crimes, not just fact finding. Also of note regarding Mueller is that there are reports that he is very much following the money. Trump's financial past may or may not be related to possible Russian interference in the election, but Mueller may suspect the possibility that financial crimes, such as money laundering, will be found. The FBI has already combed through financial records relating to the Trump Organization, as well as shell companies he has been involved with. The FBI has also looked closely at people who have bought condominiums at Trump-branded properties, especially the many Russians

Trump is the one who appointed Sessions who has been a total waste.  Sessions is clearly owned.   Trump, master of "the apprentice" couldn't see this coming?  Or Comey?  Or Flynn?  or Preibus?  Or Scaramuzzi?Trump is even more of a joke than Obama who at least could play the puppet well.

Indeed Trump has made an ass of himself by appointing a cabinet full of insider dirtbags. It is only a short matter of time before Pence stops stabbing Trump in the back and starts a full on frontal assault. If Trump does not grow a set and admit he fucked up Royally by appointing these slimeballs - then do something to correct it all - something drastic like bringing in some of the pipe hittin' types to make the swamp creatures regret their lives - - then the whole thing is going to be finished.

He can just as easily do all those things and NOT retire or resign. Just needs tio grow a pair and use his brain.Would be nice if he would charge A Weiner and Comey. There is alreaqdy more than enough evidence to convict both on numerous crimes, so no need for all the long winded congressional dog and pony shows or lenghty investigations that are just as phony to protect the elites. The real criminals walk freekly and Sessions has focused on the far lesser crimes althogh all are quite important.Comey should be prsecuted as the main leaker and the leaks will stop, Weiner as an accomplice in a RICO operation that will ensnare many more as well Hillary herself. Guaranteed Weiner will roll over to save his own skin so get on with it all and be done with it DOJ and FBI, if not fire them all ! After these two guys, there is still a very long list of DEM criminals to go after, then we can start on the REP criminals !Anybody else notice Trump deliberately lit a fire under Sessions to get his shit together and start taking some action ? Remains to be seen if he has a brain or just an old numbskull hung up in the way it used to be and the fantasy's not relevant in todays massive government corruption ! I do not doubt he is a good man, but so far his actions have created and caused the Mueller sham which is a completely illegal debacle and insult to any form of justice or truth. Just a straight up quasi legal witch hunt with unlimited funding and no boundaries at all. Just the lawyers he as chosen makes it completely corrupted and illegal and denies any credibilty. So why are we wasting all these resources while the real criminals we are all aware of walk freely ?  WTF is wrong with this picture ? Every citizen should be outraged and demanding accountability from congress and DOJ ! Also stop these kangaroo courts ASAP !…

The Criminal Deep State are continuing with the Russia PsyOp to keep the masses distracted while they continue to implement their plans for their one world system which they plan to begin very soon.  America as we know it is about to end.  While they allow the fake investigations to continue to pacify the masses, they laugh at the sheep who allow themselves to believe that anyone will be jailed.

Soon, the people will either Revolt or out of fear will imprison themselves in their own homes while the Scripted Martial Law / COG plays out right before their eyes.

We will pay dearly for their treachery as we sat idly by & did absolutely nothing.

Trump doesn't care that there are leaks per se.  He only cares that there are leaks that make him look bad.  This White House can't get good press no matter if they are open or closed: they just keep fucking up!They tried lying (Spicer). Failed. They tried avoiding press conferences(Trump).  Failed. They fired Spicer and brought in foul-mouthed millionaire.  Failed. Now they turn the AG on leakers with a shrill whine, threatening hell and damnation for people showing the world just how egotistical and fucked Team Trump is.  Fail.Transparency?  Bullshit.  Just a campaign lie.  Trump will ultimately commit suicide when the only good press he gets is a Post-It from Kushner with a smiley face.  He will end up calling even Fox "News" fake news. So, stop the leakers.  Shoot them.  It won't help Trump.  Well, at least he can continue to a total fuck-up in private.
