Assange Vows To Prove That Russia Was Not His Source In 3-Hour Meeting With Congressman

In a three hour meeting with Representative Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) at the Ecuadorian embassy in London, Julian Assange vowed to provide proof that Russia was not the source of his leaks last year and promised more 'helpful' information in the near future.  Rohrabacher recounted the details of the meeting with Assange to The Hill:

“Our three-hour meeting covered a wide array of issues, including the WikiLeaks exposure of the DNC emails during last year's presidential election,” Rohrabacher said,  “Julian emphatically stated that the Russians were not involved in the hacking or disclosure of those emails."

Pressed for more detail on the source of the documents, Rohrabacher said he had information to share privately with President Donald Trump.

“Julian also indicated that he is open to further discussions regarding specific information about the DNC email incident that is currently unknown to the public,” he added.

Of course, this is hardly the first time that Assange has publicly denied that Russia was his source for the DNC and/or Podesta leaks.  Back in January, Assange recorded an interview with Sean Hannity of Fox News and unequivocally stated that "our source is not the Russian government and it is not a state party."

HANNITY: Can you say to the American people, unequivocally, that you did not get this information about the DNC, John Podesta's emails, can you tell the American people 1,000 percent that you did not get it from Russia or anybody associated with Russia?

ASSANGE: Yes. We can say, we have said, repeatedly that over the last two months that our source is not the Russian government and it is not a state party... Obama is trying to say that President-elect Trump is not a legitimate President.

So, what does Assange want in return for his evidence that could completely undermine Special Counsel Mueller's entire investigation?  Apparently he would like for Wikileaks to be granted a seat in the White House press corps...oh, and we're sure a presidential pardon would be welcome as well.

Rohrabacher said he had information he planned to carry back to Trump when he returned to the United States, including a request that the WikiLeaks organization be given a news media seat inside the White House press room.

“Julian passionately argued the case that WikiLeaks was vital to informing the public about controversial though necessary issues. He hoped that Wikileaks — an award winning journalistic operation — might be granted a seat in the White House press corps. As a former newsman myself I can't see a reason why they shouldn't be granted news status for official press conferences,” he said.

As for other information to be given to the president, Rohrabacher said: “We left with the understanding that we would be going into further details in the near future. The rest of the message is for the president directly and I hope to convey it to him as more details come in.”

Of course, we're certain it won't take long for the mainstream media to label Rohrabacher as just another of Putin's "useful idiots" and discredit whatever information Assange eventually releases about his source as a desperate attempt to curry favor with an administration that could negotiate his freedom after being holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy for 5 years.

Question:What if Seth Rich is not dead?Remember that:The investigation was a joke.  No autopsy.  No cams released.  Was alive and conscious at Hospital. Why you ask?If: He was the DNC internal hacker, (he was obviously caught) then taken out of the "school play" for further interrogation.Remember the family video after the "murder", his brother Aron is smiling throughout it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mEu22KJjtUSpeculation, I know.  To be expected with such little information released. Truth however is, "facts" released do not match evidence presented.

They really did turn up the heat after people began to talk about Seth Rich again. What amazes me is how the left is turning the internet into an echo chamber and making pages like youtube, twatter and facebook look like everyone agress with leftist idealogies and hates everything else (Barry's twitter page is always filled with positive reactions and Trump's is filled with hate replies). They really believe they are the majority, but everyone else is too busy living and working to spend 36 hours a day online. When they really do start a civil war they are going to regret it.

So this congressperson must have been one of the (kooky/traitorous) five who voted against sactions on Russia, right? Please tell me this is so.WikiLeaks could SAVE the Trump presidency. It's bizarre the president doesn't get this. Plus, the work of the organization would come in handy if he decides he really wants to "drain the swamp." What does he think? That the NYT and CNN are going to help him do this?Instead, Trump's administration has strongly hinted that its wants to arrest and prosecute and imprison Assange. Sessions' marching orders? More and Bigger Civil Forfeiture. Escalate the "war on drugs" (including pot). Go after Assange and WikiLeaks. I don't get it.And can some politician grant Edward Snowden a pardon? One hundred years from now some president will award him the Medal of Freedom. Posthumously. Get on the right side of history, Mr. President.

My theory is that they are going to come after Trump no matter what he does, so why not try to drain the swamp anyway? The people who voted for him would rally around him. In short, do the right (and, okay, brave) thing. The NYT and WaPo and CNN and "NBC Nightly News" would be after Trump's ass if he gave some support to Assange, or (the flip side of this coin) if he called for his arrest (which he pretty much has done). The only thing he can do to get some positive coverage from The Establishment is start a war. Or threaten to start a war. But even that won't silence them. The knives will still be out for him.I'll say again, Trump needs to take down the whole entire corrupt system, every member of the Establishment and Deep State needs to be making plans to escape to their fall-out bunkers in New Zealand. WikiLeaks could be a vital ally in this effort. So could an audit of the Fed. Or America's alleged gold supply. Or providing proof that "markets" are rigged, or that our economic data is fabricated. Trump has the power to do all of these things. He could have CHOSEN to puruse every one of these courses of action. Instead, he chose to do nothing. And he dang sure has a bully pulpit to rally supporters and counter any counter attacks. Now, we all know he's not going to pursue such things. But, let the record show: he could have. They'll get him sooner or later.  It's kind of like North Korea. We (meaning America) were going to attack and invade this country and bring about "regime change." It was/is just a matter of time. Unless, of course, North Korea took dramatic, contrarian,  proactive measures, and developed a credible nuclear deterrent. One lesson here: The goals of the neocons and the Establishment CAN be thwarted. Cue Mick Jagger: They "don't always get what they want." But stopping them will require bold and, yes, risky action.Launching a full-out assault on the Deep State and the Establishment and really trying to "drain the swamp" would definitely qualify as  "bold" action. History-making stuff.  Such a campaign would very likely work too. (We know it's the right strategy and the best strategy, for the simple reason that this would be the last thing "they" wanted to happen. That is, if such a course of action scares these people (and it would), it MUST be the right course of action). But I guess we'll never know.Maybe the next president - Pence? Chelsea Clinton? Kid Rock? - will give it a try

"So this congressperson must have been one of the (kooky/traitorous) five who voted against sactions on Russia, right?" To answer your initial question:  Rep. Rohrabacher voted in favor of the sanctions bill.  He stated that he did so despite the sanctions against Russsia, because he viewed imposing sanctions against Iran and North Korea  as being of overwhelming importance.  Make of that what you will.Rohrabacher is one of the few American politicians I can not only tolerate but even often admire.  However, during the Reagan era he was an anti-communist cold warrior.  It appears to me that he is smart and honest enough to realize that Putin's Russia is a very different social and political entity than the old USSR, notwithstanding his vote on the sanctions.

Sounds pretty idiotic to punish someone you know is innocent so that someone guilty can be punished?Isn't the American justice system designed on the principal that it is better to have a thousand guilty remain free instead of one innocent losing his freedom? (must be why Corzine and Clinton are still roaming around freely). To vote for sanction on a nation that you believe is innocent of the acts it is accused of inexcusable. .....especially considering that such action can be viewed as an act of war.

Trump's hamstrung by TPTB appointment delays, leaks, obfuscation to eviscerate his power and reach. Not born into politics, he's been badly prepared for such levels of resistance. But given what they have to loose, they'll throw everything they have at him to aviod the (hopefully) inevitable capitulation of a totally morally bankrupt currupt even Satanic system. He does however need to get his players on the board (and bunkered up) in order to make the play.

Trump's appointment and approval of his attorney general wasn't "delayed." And his attorney general is plotting ways to "get" Assange behind bars. I've defended Trump for today's tweet on the statue silliness, but I haven't forgotten all the things he's done that leave me scratching my head and wishing that, say, the owner of the company that cuts my grass had been elected president instead of Trump (or Hillary).

What's the difference, the majority of the media outlets won't cover any news that doesn't fit their narrative. People only know what they hear, more are no longer capable of critical thinking. It's going to be hard to overcome this bias.

At Last!

George Webb finally got the Alt Media to say, "Awan Brothers".

Jeff Sessions is a deaf mute.

Congress quietly pees in their diapers every time they hear anyone say, "Awwwwww...."

The FBI would like to make the word "Juan" and or "Bro" illegal and arrestable offenses.

The Main Screaming Media goes into cardiac condition 'Full Bozo - Condition Faded Pink' if the name letter combination 'AWAN' appears anywhere on the teleprompter feed.

The CIA can't stage hoaxes, false flags or regime changes fast enough to get the terms 'Pastrami ISI', 'Mario Brother, Aaron' or Lord of the Spy Rings' pushed off of Google search results front page that might accidentally include links to, 'Pakistani ISI, Imran Awan's brother, or Spy Rings in Congress'.

ZH is even a little short on Awanishness Brethrenly verbiage.

I guess the Awans are highly radioactive! (note - the sideways DU, EU and SU association I made there) ... Or just have a special type of diplomatic immunity that carries the death penalty for mentioning.

Maybe you come down with a fatal case of cooties if you utter the words 'Awan Brothers'.

BUT if you REALLY want to see the look of total !!!!!!!!PANIC!!!!!!!!!! on your friendly local overlord's face mention this guy = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r78ByAqo5UM
