"First They Came For The Statues..."

Authored by James Howard Kunstler via Kunstler.com,

First they came for the statues….

What do you know, long about Wednesday, August 16, 2017, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Cal) discovered that the United States Capitol building was infested with statues of Confederate dignitaries. Thirty years walking those marbled halls and she just noticed?

Her startled announcement perked up Senator Cory Booker (D- NJ) who has been navigating those same halls only a few years. He quickly introduced a bill to blackball the offending statues.

And, of course, the congressional black caucus also enjoyed a mass epiphany on the bronze and stone delegation of white devils.

I’d like to hear to hear an argument as to why the Washington Monument should remain dedicated to that vicious slave-driver and rebellious soldier, and indeed the name of the city that is the federal seat of government. Or the District of Columbia (after Columbus, who initiated the genocide of Native Americans). Or America, cribbed out of Amerigo Vespucci, the wicked Florentine cartographer who ascertained that the place called Brazil today was not the east coast of Asia but actually a New World — and so all our troubles began!

Well, there has been a lot of idle chatter the past half-century about the root causes of this-and-that, and it seems that we have located one at last. I expect that scientific studies out of our best universities will soon confirm that occult transmissions from the statue of Jefferson Davis (a double-devil named after an earlier devil) are responsible for the murder rate in Chicago.

Just as empires tend to build their most grandiose monuments prior to collapse, our tottering empire is concocting the most monumentally ludicrous delusions before it slides down the laundry chute of history. It’s as if the Marx Brothers colluded with Alfred Hitchcock to dream up a melodramatic climax to the American Century that would be the most ridiculous and embarrassing to our posterity.

In the meantime, many citizens await Monday’s spectacle of a total solar eclipse in parts of the country. They apparently don’t realize that another eclipse has been underway for months: the total eclipse of reality across the entire landscape of the USA. Now that has been an event to behold, not just some twenty-minute freak of astronomy. What’s being blacked out is the perilously fragile condition of the financial system - a great groaning Rube Goldberg contraption of accounting fraud, grift, statistical deceit, and racketeering that pretends to support the day-to-day activities of our national life.

For months, the recognition of this oncoming financial monster has been blocked by the hallucination of gremlins from the Kremlin infiltrating the recent presidential election. But just as that mirage was dissolving, along comes the treacherous invasion of the Confederate statues. It begins to look like the final piece of the puzzle in the Deep State’s quest to eject Donald Trump from the oval office. His response to the deadly statue situation (“…why not Washington and Jefferson…?”) was deemed so obtuse and unfeeling that even the rodents of his own nominal Republican Party want to jump his ship of state.

So, the set-up could not be more perfect! The country will now get down to the business of a months-long 25th Amendment circle-jerk at the very moment that the financial system flies apart.

The damage from the financial clusterfuck will be much more real, and much worse, than anything that might be spun out of the anti-statue crusade hogging the headlines today. It will be interesting to see whether the old legacy media even reports on it as it happens, or whether they will cook up new and more bizarre entertainments to distract the public from what might be the ultimate swindling of a lifetime.

@ GUS100CORRINA,Really? You had no idea? Did you just wake up Rip Van Winkle? This was a humorous article. No need to get all "ASAP" over it. However, dollars to donuts the establishment controlled Congress will not get a budget or a debt ceiling worked out. In a few months, they will get very near to shutting down national govt AND blame Trump in the process.

'Stop Using This Woman's Death': Pro-Trump Candidate Corey Stewart Blasts CNN Host on Charlottesville  The Republican challenging Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) in 2018 had a contentious debate with a CNN host over the lack of outcry from the left over Antifa violence in Charlottesville. Corey Stewart (R), the chairman of Prince William County, near Manassas, said that only he and President Trump have been "talking about the violent left Antifa, who have been equally to blame" in Charlottesville. http://insider.foxnews.com/2017/08/17/corey-stewart-cnn-host-charlottes…

She better get going on the Lincoln Memorial, the $5 bill, and the penny...

"I will say then that I am not, nor ever have been in favor of bringing about in anyway the social and political equality of the white and black races - that I am not nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors of negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with white people; and I will say in addition to this that there is a physical difference between the white and black races which I believe will forever forbid the two races living together on terms of social and political equality. And inasmuch as they cannot so live, while they do remain together there must be the position of superior and inferior, and I as much as any other man am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race. I say upon this occasion I do not perceive that because the white man is to have the superior position the negro should be denied everything."  -Abraham Lincoln

@ Hedgeless,

The "government" has not been legitimate since Lincoln's War. When the southern States' contingent walked out of congress and congress adjourned "sine die" (without a day), congress officially dissolved. They never had a lawful quorum so never lawfully reconvened.

It was Lincoln ruling by decree back then which is the basis for all actions since. He ordered congress to do certain things under martial law (military rule). He even had the governor of New York arrested for opposing certain decrees.

We have had a corporation ACTING as government since 21 Feb 1871.
28 U.S.C. 3002 (15)
(15)“United States” means—
(A) a Federal corporation;
(B) an agency, department, commission, board, or other entity of the United States; or
(C) an instrumentality of the United States.

So... B and C are subdivisions of the "Federal corporation." For further verificaton go to Dunn & Bradstreet (dnb.com) or manta.com. You will find that ALL government entities are listed as private corporations right down to your local police department and school district.

The "law" isn't what you think it is. It's all corporate regulations. Congress and legislatures are acting as the board of directors for the corporations and most don't have any idea. You are simply seen as a corporate asset (human resource) with an asset tag # (SS#) that is not allowed to tell your owner what to do.

The questions you should be asking are, "Who owns it?" "Who are they really working for whether they know it or not?" "What are the requirements to be a CEO of a corporation?"
Hint: You don't have to be a Citizen of any specific country to head up a corporation.

These Criminal Psychopaths / Sociopaths are just minions gaming a Criminal FRUAD system all based on Contract Fraud through our CONSENT (Blacks Law Dictionary) & deception.

From Lincoln, to the Act of 1871, Fed Reserve Act of 1913, to The Emergency Banking Act of 1933. No doubt, thse Megalomaniac's have taken historical FACT, twisted it, kept it from public knowledge to use as leverage in their diabolical plan to Enslave / Control mankind. And, the entire planet.

The purported 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution is and should be held to be ineffective, invalid, null, void and unconstitutional for the following reasons:

The Joint Resolution proposing said amendment was not submitted to or adopted by a Constitutional Congress per Article I, Section 3, and Article V of the U. S. Constitution.

The Joint Resolution was not submitted to the President for his approval as required by Article I, Section 7 of the U. S. Constitution.

The proposed 14th Amendment was rejected by more than one-fourth of all the States then in the Union, and it was never ratified by three-fourths of all the States in the Union as required by Article V of the U. S. Constitution.

They also ratified the 14th amendment after the southern states were not allowed to rejoin congress. Thus the 14th was never ratified by 3/4's of the states.

The question you should be asking (and answering) is WHY? For what purpose?I could tell you, but then my answer would soon be censored - indeed ZeroHedge is an excellent litmus test in this respect - if your comment is censored, one can deduce that it's too close to the truth (or liable to sail too close to it for the censor's comfort). Take it that the comments that still remain after several days are 'safe'...

I would recommend reading any of Harold Holzer's books on Lincoln.  Holzer is the pre-eminent Lincoln scholar today.  Of course, Holzer has no 'exclusives' to offer but he is a very scrupulous and well researched author. It is intellecturally disengenous to compare the popular culture and politics 150 years ago with those of today.Lincoln's ideas and thoughts on slavery and African Americans evolved over time.  Given the time when he debated Douglas for the senate seat, had he espoused a more aggressive stance (say outlawing slavery) he would surely risk public censure and had no chance of being elected. There is a clear difference between statues of confederate generals and the honoraria we give to founding fathers or important presidents, even if they have a shaded history.  Many of the confederate general statues (not all) were erected in response to Jim Crow laws being overturned and civil rights legislation - typically 50 to 100 years after the civil war. They weren't erected to recognize the Civil War.And confederate generals only 'contributed' to a Civil War to defend the right to enslave.  They helped perpetuate a war that ended up killing a lot of Americans.  There is nothing to celebrate in their immoral works.

On September 22, 1862, Lincoln used the Confederate repulse at Antietam to issue a warning that slavery would be abolished in areas still engaged in rebellion against the United States on January 1, 1863. The Russian Tsar Alexander II had liberated the 23 million serfs of the Russian Empire in 1861, so this underlined the nature of the US-Russian convergence as a force for human freedom. This imminent Emancipation Proclamation was also an important political factor in slowing Anglo-French meddling, but it would not have been decisive by itself. The British cabinet, as Seward had predicted, regarded emancipation as an act of desperation. The London Times accused Lincoln in lurid and racist terms of wanting to provoke a slave rebellion and a race war.http://www.voltairenet.org/article169488.html

I have heard that the National park service has announced they will not remove confederate statues at national battlefields.  As anyone heard any news on this?  Hey, this is one place where Trump can absolutely stop this nonsense as these are federal lands.  I will lose all respect for Trump if he does not move to protect our national battlefields.  I get that he cannot control cities and states, but he sure as hell can enforce the law on national battlefield parks where it it is already a felony to commit vandalism.

“This is no small thing, to restore a republic after it has fallen into corruption. I have studied history for years and I cannot recall it ever happening. It may be that our task is impossible. Yet, if we do not try then how will we know it can’t be done? And if we do not try, it most certainly won’t be done. The Founders’ Republic, and the larger war for western civilization, will be lost. But I tell you this: We will not go gently into that bloody collectivist good night. Indeed, we will make with our defiance such a sound as ALL history from that day forward will be forced to note, even if they despise us in the writing of it.And when we are gone, the scattered, free survivors hiding in the ruins of our once-great republic will sing of our deeds in forbidden songs, tending the flickering flame of individual liberty until it bursts forth again, as it must, generations later. We will live forever, like the Spartans at Thermopylae, in sacred memory.”– Mike Vanderboegh

The Spartans all died, and Greece today is a slave of the ZioBank. What you should be working on, instead of sharpening a sword tobring to an automatic weapons bloodbath, is what the Alt-Left havebeen pursuing for decades: public housing, a right to utilities, self-sufficiency, pre-schools, free-schools, public health, acting locally. The only reason the Soviet Union survived disintegration was they hadpublic housing and a right to utilities. No bankster could evict them. And they also had a highly-evolved barter system and public markets, that kept right on providing food and clothing when State could not.The Soviet military collapsed completely, ...a word of caution to themillions taking a MIC payroll. The Soviet banking system becamewhat America's is already, a kleptocracy. So who will suffer during this Reset? The Military and the People. If the Military were to turn their swords into food distribution, ifthey were to refuse foreign adventurism, and use their skills inlogistics and supply to support People instead of ZioOligarchs,we might survive the Fall. But history doesn't hold out much hope. The MIC must have their Meat.

Not particularly But then again the parties have completely shifted polarity since then.Remember that the southern Democrats joined the Republican party about the time of Johnson's presidency because of federal civil rights legislation. But hey, don't let facts get in the way of your ignorance.

The Psychological Operations being conducted on the populace mindset / Psyche is at a Fever pitch.

Historically, thats exactly what every Country that has ever fallen under the rule of Communism have in common.

Every regime attempted to eradicate that Countires Culture to Indoctrinate future Generations in their new Image.

Communist achieved Genocide by Marginalizing Individuals within segments of Society by ostracizing their Identities to impose their own Ideology of Communism.

Predictive Programming

The theory proposes that public media (such as films, television, news casts, etc.) are deliberately seeded with subtle clues to future social, political, or technological changes. According to the theory, when the relevant change is later introduced into the world, the public has become used to the idea through exposure, and therefore passively accepts it rather than offering resistance or opposition. Predictive programming is therefore thought to be a means of propaganda or mass psychological conditioning that operates on a subliminal or implicit level.

I sincerely hope you are already prepared. From personal experience in a few places, notablyIran and Aghanistan in the 70's,when the shit goes down,it goes faster than you can imagineor prepare for.The demonstrations in  Tehran started out with a crowd trying to demolish theShahyad , a  monument. They couldn't,it was huuuge, but the crowd in their frustration moved tothe US embassy.By then it had grown to several million on the streets, and there is no way to control a crowdthat size short of napalm. How the embassy staff was not butchered, with good reason for harboring SAVAK in thecompound, still amazes me to this day.

I don't like trusting to "hope" but I hope TPTB have enough courage to call out the military to put down mass civil unrest. Otherwise we will have civil war 2.0, and it will be a hell of a lot bloodier than last time. If society becomes that polarized where each of us has no choice but to choose a side, either the alt-left or the alt-right, I unfortunately will have to throw in with the alt-right. Even though both will in the end limit constitutional freedoms the alt-left, as exemplified by groups like ANTIFA, are openly calling for vast 1st amendment restrictions. And it goes without saying what their thoughts are on the 2nd amendment. So I would have to oppose the alt-left for reasons of principle. At least the alt-right has some semblence of respect for constitutional liberty. But as I said, once either side came to power it's likely we would see our freedoms curtailed.
