University will host dinners as part of ‘racial reconciliation’ program

To promote “racial reconciliation” after the deadly clashes between white nationalists and counterprotesters in Charlottesville last month, Brown University plans to offer segregated events to its black students and female Muslim students.

The university received a $30,000 grant from the Association of American Colleges and Universities, which represents liberal arts schools, to create a campus center whose mission is to “break down racial hierarchies and create a positive narrative about race in the community,” according to The Brown Daily Herald.

These grants, provided with the assistance of the Newman’s Own Foundation and W.K. Kellogg Foundation, will go towards hosting racially and religiously segregated “dinner discussion groups.” These discussions are being led by Brown University Chaplain Rev. Janet Cooper Nelson, who told The Daily that “one [group will be] for black students and the other [will be for] for Muslim women on campus.”

Nelson told The Daily she hopes that the Muslim women’s dinner group will “allow the women to engage in topics such as the intersection of race, Islam and gender fluidity.”

Nelson did not respond to The College Fix’s request for comment, nor did Brown’s media relations department.

The Fix also reached out to the university’s Black Student Union for comment on the black student discussion dinner. The group did not respond.

The Association of American Colleges and Universities has charged Brown and nine other universities with “addressing the historic and contemporary effects of racism and leading transformative change,” according to a press release from Brown.

The initiative seeks to “educate, prepare and inspire the next generation of leaders to advance justice and build equitable communities.”

According to The Daily, the American Association of Colleges and Universities will host the inaugural “Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation Institute” this January in Washington, D.C. Representatives from the ten chosen campuses will attend the institute in order to “develop transformative action plans to advance racial healing,” AACU spokeswoman Anne Jenkins told The Fix via email.

Recent years have seen an increased push for segregated spaces and events on campuses across the country.

Last spring, Harvard hosted its first-ever blacks-only student graduation ceremony; a number of other universities hosted similar segregated graduation events.

Last winter, students at the University of Michigan demanded ano-whites-allowed space.”

A year ago California State University’s Los Angeles campus offered segregated housing for black students.

And in May, American University barred white students from a cafe in order to create a “sanctuary” for nonwhite students, a demand the provost of the university called “reasonable.”

Oh no, they aren't segragating.  They only want to "develop transformative action plans to advance racial healing", while having dinner on the school's dime.  Heck, I can do that.  I just might dust off my pink polka-dot Niqab, say a few PBUHs, and enjoy some spare ribs off the grille washed down with Sam Adam's (what else) Black Lagers.

Actually the truth is the democRATs always supported segregation and slavery.....

Rational people expect common sense and rationale, from the NAACP? That will never happen. As a group, blacks support democRATs 90=95% These is INSANE Facts……
1. The vast majority of slave owners were democRATs
2. The KKK was founded and populated by democRATs
3. The emancipation proclamation was set forth by a Republican and opposed by democRATs.
4. Jim Crowe laws were instituted and enforced by democRATs.
5. The Civil Rights Act would have never passed if it weren’t for republicans who voted for it in larger numbers than the democRATs
6. Albert Gore Sr and William J Fullbright filibustered the Civil Rights Act.
7. Bill Clintons mentor was William J Fullbright.
8 The people who stood in front of schools and universities in the south in the 60's ordering the use of firehoses and dogs to keep black children out. were democRATs Bull Conner, Lester Maddox, and George Wallace ALL democRATs.
9. Margaret Sanger was a democrat, and started PP as a way to control the black population.
10. DemocRAT Senator Robert Byrd a long time KKK member was in opposition to Civil Rights legislation in the 1960s, and his characterization of MLK as a “trouble-maker,” and his impenitent use of the “N-word” (i.e., “nigger”) on TV as recently as 2001
11. The statues that were removed all over the USA by democRATs in 2017 were of famous democRAT confederate military men were mostly of democRAT slave owners.
And yet the blacks vote for these racists year after year after year after year

The modern KKK/neo-nazi movement is largely a fiction promoted by fund-raising organizations. One of them -I forget whether it was the SPLC or the ADL - even lost staff because they were fed up with leadership scaremongering over the wrong threats.

Anti-semitism for example. Most attacks are done by either Muslims or those on the left, not the right. That Jewish people seem to be willfully ignoring that makes me wonder how smart they really are.

If I profess my allegiance to Muhammad, get a summer job at the Saudi /CIA training center for cultural studies, and have a wealthy Uncle, does that qualify me for indoctrination at [Brown University]?
