Trump Extends Feud With "Wacky Wilson" To Sixth Day, Says Fake News "Finally Sinking In"

In a relatively tame by his weekend standards Twitter outburst, President Trump on Sunday again ripped into Rep. Frederica Wilson, extending his feud with the "wacky" Florida Democrat into its sixth day, over the contents of his call to the widow of a fallen U.S. soldier. "Wacky Congresswoman Wilson is the gift that keeps on giving for the Republican Party, a disaster for Dems. You watch her in action & vote R!" Trump tweeted.

It was the second straight day in which Trump referred to Wilson as "wacky" following up to a Saturday tweet, when he said he hopes the "Fake News Media" keeps talking abut Wilson, whom he claimed is "killing the Democratic Party."

Trump has continued to push back against Wilson's claims, who previously said she was in the car with the widow of Army Sgt. La David Johnson when Trump called and in which she said Trump told the soldier's widow that he "knew what he signed up for...but when it happens it hurts anyway." On Thursday, Trump accused Wilson of lying about the content of the call after "secretly" listening in. Chief of staff John Kelly last week also gave an  emotional press conference in which he said he was "stunned" by Wilson's negative description of the call. "I would have thought that was sacred," Kelly said during last week's press conference.

In his second tweet, Trump said media organizations have “lost cred,” pointing to a recent poll that found almost half of voters think the media make up stories about him.

“It is finally sinking through. 46% OF PEOPLE BELIEVE MAJOR NATIONAL NEWS ORGS FABRICATE STORIES ABOUT ME. FAKE NEWS, even worse!” Trump tweeted. “Lost cred.”

Trump was referring to last week's Politico/Morning Consult poll which found that 46% of voters think the media fabricate reports about Trump and his administration. Just 37 percent of voters disagree and another 17 percent are undecided. The results predictably broke down by party lines with 76% of Republicans thinking the media fabricate stories about Trump, while just 20% of Democrats agree and 65% of Democrats disagree. The poll was conducted after Trump went after media companies in a series of tweets, saying that their broadcast licenses should be challenged and potentially revoked.

"Network news has become so partisan, distorted and fake that licenses must be challenged and, if appropriate, revoked," Trump wrote on Twitter. "Not fair to public!" Trump also called reporters at some news networks “fiction writers” in a tweet last Tuesday.

… It is finally sinking through. 46% OF PEOPLE BELIEVE MAJOR NATIONAL NEWS ORGS FABRICATE STORIES ABOUT ME. FAKE NEWS, even worse! Lost cred. For fuck’s sake, Donald, stop fucking whining about the Libtard-infested Media! It’s like bitching about your stool smelling too bad. What does the Lying MSM have to do with NOT repealing 0bamacare or NOT getting the Tax Reform done? What about Crooked Hillary? You have all the power you need to throw the bitch in jail. Do you need Jeff Bezos’ or Jeff Zucker’s help with that? How ‘bout Afghanistan and Syria? Did the Lying Media force you to “evolve” away from your campaign promises? You are the most powerful man in the Swamp, so stop whining and start swamping!  ;-) Looney

Every day we are presented with more evidence that Lincoln should have shipped the slaves back to Aftrica.  It's nigger NFL, NBA and MLB players who disrespect our country and our flag.  It's nigger lawmakers who flagrantly disrepsect our President for trying to make America great.  It's nigger mobs who rob stores in mass attacks.   I could go on but I think you get the point.  The question is, what will we do about it?  Me - I'm ready for the war.  Bring it.

"cognitive dissonance" really means in context, Like everything else 'Cognitive Dissonance' means what the person using the words thinks it does, this may not be what you think it should mean but, so what, it is still a free country, and every one is entitled to their own opinions!

Hey George...

The topic is the Rep. from FL who appears to be misrepresentating or even lying about the story of the conversation about the fallen soldier. The MSM are the ones reporting and defending this garbage and Trump is simply calling them out on it. Should he just sit back and take abuse from these lying fake news scoundrels? Apparently you’re okay with that.

Yep. Many here with mouth hanging open awaiting the next baffle. Then they can call you all of the same unoriginal names they have stored for such occaisons. Original thought isn't really a specialty here, nor is it welcomed. Just stick to the same, tired, comfortable tropes.  It makes the vast sea of double digit IQs here comfortable. Don't have to think that way, just fire out "libtard"...there, that showed 'em.

That’s the main problem with conservatives in Braizl and in the US, they’re just too stubborn to change. I grew up in Brazil in a huge family that were very conservative. Even to this day, most are extremelly conservative. Even my mother became conservative by pressure, and age, I guess. Conservatives see changing as weakness. They can ‘t face changes. They placed themselves in a corner that they can’t get out, because it would be too embarissing. They’re traped. Few are strong enough to get out.

You vastly overestimate the intelligence of his base. They were here in droves defending his Goldman Sach Treasury choice, rationalizing it the way some 7th graders would. Was there a peep from them when he just opened the check book for the pentagon? Naw, just more flag waving and fist pumping as Trump got down to fellate his generals. Now the idiot at the top of these post says Trump has the power to just throw someone in jail because he doesn't like her, or slander, or whatever. You know the same mental midgets who would have lost their shit and bitched and moaned endlessly if Obama did the same thing. The double standard crowd who see gubmint as the biggest threat ever, unless their boy is in office. Then abuse of power is how to get things done. Oh, but it's the deep state and Trump is fighting them, yadda, yadda... These losers will peddle any convoluted story they can dream up to to keep the fantasy in their tiny heads alive. They NEVER will allow themselves to see how Trump sticks it them. They are incapable of such insights.

Given a choice between Hildbeast or Trump sticking it to us, there is no difference on kicking the can type of behavior, but Trump at least does it in honey badger mode. Sometime I ponder if she won, wouldn't it be great if during some major address, like state of the union, she went full grand mal and they rushed her out only to be replaced by a body double, aka the movie Dave.

See what I mean. The idea that someone might complain about Trump and his base while not liking Obama or voting for Hillary is beyond the comprehension of the average Zero. I come here to see how the idiot masses are thinking, well, trying to think. I am never disappointed by how low the bar can go.

Glad to see more liberals Americans speaking out at Zero Hedge. Wondering why? “First they came for the Communists, but I was not a Communist so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Socialists and the Trade Unionists, but I was neither, so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Jews, but I was not a Jew so I did not speak out. And when they came for me, there was no one left to speak out for me.” — Martin Niemoeller

Wrong. Plenty of disappointment and criticism of Trump and his cabinet around here and especially within the RINO infested GOP, most of whom won't support any of his campaign proposals. That may be a first in American politics, btw.

I guess you only show up on certain threads to post? Imagine that.
