President Trump Addresses Reporters After North Korean Missile Launch, Cancelled Tax Meeting

Update 1: Following the cancellation of what was supposed to be a bipartisan meeting at the White House to discuss the budget and tax reform, President Trump just wrapped up a brief press briefing that touched on everything from his spat with "Chuck and Nancy" to North Korea's latest missile launch.

On tax reform, Trump predicted that "adjustments" will be required to get a bill through the Senate:

*TRUMP SAYS NOT SURPRISED SCHUMER, PELOSI SKIPPED MEETING

*TRUMP SAYS THERE WILL BE ADJUSTMENTS TO TAX LEGISLATION

Meanwhile, despite the fact that "Chuck and Nancy" didn't show up, Trump described his meeting with Republicans as "somewhat of a lovefest."

On North Korea's launch earlier today, Trump said simply "we will take care of it."

*TRUMP ON NORTH KOREA: `WE WILL TAKE CARE OF IT'

*TRUMP ON NORTH KOREA: `IT'S A SITUATION THAT WE WILL HANDLE'

*TRUMP SAYS NOTHING CHANGED ABOUT HIS APPROACH TO NORTH KOREA

And on the possibility of a government shutdown:

*TRUMP ON POSSIBLE GOVT SHUTDOWN: `WE'LL SEE WHAT HAPPENS'

*TRUMP SAYS HE'D BLAME DEMOCRATS FOR A GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN

* * *

Following an eventful morning for Trump that has included everything from a Twitter spat with "Chuck and Nancy" over budget and tax reform negotiations, to yet another North Korean missile launch, the White House has just announced that the President will address reporters around 3:30pm EST.

Trump'll make some "Rocket Man" insult-jokes, congratulate himself for something or another, and then say something vague and cryptic then turns out to mean nothing.And then take more money out of things that actually serve a purpose to hand over to the MIC and The Squid, again congratulating himself.

I hope he isn't going for the pre-emptive strike talk on NKEverything else is just bs as far as I am concerned.Trump's twitter antics make him a hero with some posters here, but I still view him in the same category as Obama, Bush, Clinton et al.

Trump isn't a Bush, Clinton or Obama, if he was then the mainstream media would love him and everyone would get on with the business of growing government ever larger and find new and more innvative ways to give away money you don't have.While the distance between today and any sort of economically sustainable country is vast he is a step in the right direction.
