Trump Attorney Quashes Rumors Of Impending Mueller Firing

An Attorney for President Trump has vehemently denied rumors that special counsel Robert Mueller will be fired over revelations of politically motivated malfeasance by the FBI towards Hillary Clinton and against Donald Trump, including disturbing text messages which were sent between top FBI investigators implying the Trump-Russia investigation may have been launched as an "insurance" policy in the event Trump won the 2016 election. Furthermore, GOP lawmakers have asserted that FBI top brass relied on a salacious and unverified "dossier" to launch the Trump-Russia investigation. Also noted by critics is the fact that Robert Mueller's "right hand man," Aaron Zebley represented Clinton IT staffer Justin Cooper - a Bill Clinton aide who "jerry-rigged" Hillary Clinton's "private, illegal" server in her Chappaqua home.

Peter Strzok, Robert Mueller, Ty Cobb

Despite all of that, Trump attorney Ty Cobb told Politico, "As the White House has repeatedly and emphatically said for months, there is no consideration at the White House of terminating the special counsel.”

Earlier in the day we reported that Trump transition team attorney Kory Langhofer sent a seven-page complaint to House and Senate oversight committees investigating the 2016 election to lodge a complaint that the special counsel improperly obtained "many tens of thousands" of emails from the Trump transition team from the General Services Administration - the government agency responsible for setting up and administering the transition email system which uses a "" address. Kanghofer says these emails were obtained through "unlawful conduct," and that the Trump team had been segregating emails with "Executive Privilege" in anticipation of giving the rest to Mueller's team.

On Friday, Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA), a member of the House Intelligence Committee, said there was a rumor floating around DC that President Trump will fire Mueller before Christmas, but after congress leaves for winter recess

“The rumor on the Hill when I left yesterday was that the president was going to make a significant speech at the end of next week. And on Dec. 22, when we are out of D.C., he was going to fire Robert Mueller," Speier told California's KQED News.

"We can read between the lines I think," Speier told KQED, adding "I believe this president wants all of this shut down. He wants to shut down these investigations, and he wants to fire special counsel Mueller."

Speier joined Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) over concerns that the House Intelligence Committee's Russia investigation would be shut down by the end of the year.

Reps Jackie Speier (D-CA) and Adam Schiff (D-CA)

Schiff shot off a series of nine tweets explaining why he's "increasingly worried Republicans will shut down the House Intelligence Committee investigation," pointing to the fact that "Republicans have scheduled no witnesses after next Friday and none in 2017. We have dozens of outstanding witnesses on key aspects of our investigation that they refuse to contact and many document requests they continue to sit on."

Read the rest by clicking on Schiff's tweet and scrolling down.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders denied rumors that President Trump was considering firing Mueller in October, stating "There is no intention or plan to make any changes in regards to the special counsel," adding "I think we should let the process play through before we start looking at that."

Perhaps GOP lawmakers would be more comfortable with Mueller's special counsel if Attorney General Jeff Sessions would appoint a second special counsel to investigate the FBI? Alas, it looks like that may be nothing more than wishful thinking for the time being.

It wouldn't surprise me if a fairly recent bribery scandal investigated by the FBI concerning two of Jeff Sessions largest campaign contributors, law firm Balch & Bingham and Drummond Co., has uncovered something which would cause Sessions to be pliant and ineffective as Attorney General. Perhaps the FBI found some dirt on Sessions and is using it to keep him in line. Just a theory...…

"During his 20 years as a U.S. senator, Sessions pocketed hundreds of thousands of campaign dollars from both Drummond Company, the corporation at the heart of this scandal, and its Birmingham-based law firm, Balch Bingham. But his ties to Drummond and Balch extend beyond the usual political contributions. Last year, according to documents obtained by Mother Jones and the nonprofit Project on Government Oversight, Sessions intervened to oppose the Environmental Protection Agency action at issue in the bribery case, and he did so just weeks after conferring with Balch lawyer"…

Politics 101:Anyone with two brain cells would of course deny any allegation of Mueller being fired, especially if he's going to be fired. And to make things better, he will not be fired the good old fashion, he will submit his resignation all by himself because of all the dirt that's pulling up on him. He will have no choice but the sensible one. And the Don knows out already, he's not in such a hurry. He's not going to make the bad move because the dems already did it.

It would not be fair to investigate the FBI or abolish the Special Counsel.  They are just innocent children and must be excused.   America and its citizens are just their toybox and their daddy Sessions will pick up after them....poor little things.

Mueller resigning just before a Christmas Eve Massacre would be a nice touch.  Dems are doomed. Spoke with one last night. She works for the World Bank near the White House.Conversation went something like this:Me: How are things going in DC?Her: You elected him! Her: Demonstrations everyday by the White House, bla bla!Me: What do you expect in a city where 98% of the electorate voted against him? Her: It's not even worth discussing this with you!I think that pretty well sums it up. It is called Ostrich modeStick head in sand, no debate, just kicking. Extreme confirmation bias. However, hunters are closing in and ostrich meat is on the menu.I hear it's pretty tasty, but then as a vegetarian I wouldn't know.Hee-hee

Agreed! Sessions has been neutered. Trump needs to fire Mueller, on the very basis that the Russian collusion BS was just an FBI/Clinton ruse to dicredit Trump, this has been proven beyond a shadow of doubt. So Mullers investigation no longer has merit. Guestion for the politik geeks. Do the Clintons still run the portion of the swamp that really controls shit, the Clinton bodie count keeps going up and Slick Willie has been out for a long time. Nothing is ever investigated. Obama has a body count now also, only 3 or so, always accidents that are never investigated.

Observation: What a frustrating process. When we elect representatives, American VOTERS failed to follow that rule established by GOD over 3500 years ago. This simple rule was GOD's advice to Moses in selecting leaders for the nation of Israel.Exodus 18:21But select capable men from all the people—men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain—and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens.As a side note, this verse is the foundation for the American government structure of FEDERAL, STATE, COUNTY and LOCAL under the Constitutional Republic.I will bet 99% of Americans do NOT know this information. If I applied rule above to current representatives in the US Congress and US Senate, I would have to recommend that we remove over 75% of these people from office. Truly sad.

A good number on this site believe you are moron using patterns outlined in the Scriptural text and relating them to current events. Most Americans are clueless of what is contained in the Scriptural texts and other books that were never placed in the bible. They are unaware of how much is in the Scriptures about deception and money. The history they know is what was fed to them in the educational system. Many schools ban the Scriptural text from the curriculum. Today there are very few who can teach it because all they may know is what was fed by ignorant pulpits.

Considering that every day there are new leaks about how corrupt Mieller and his team are, and how infested the FBI is with politicized investigators, it makes sense for the Republicans to leave Mueller rightr where he is...the longer he operates, the more information will come out about how much of a witch hunt this entire process has been, and how far democrats will go to destroty the country with lies because they lost an election. Trump's best chance for re-election is Mueller and his team staying in office and continuing to make the kind of really bad choices that convinces America that democrats are disgusting slime who should be exterminated from public office.

Hopefully the screeching fascists of the left will keep their minds and hopes on the advancement of the Mueller nothingburger factory while Trump fixes the judiciary, rolls back EPA shenanigans, anti American Obama admin hangovers, and wins over more working class and minority people to win again In 2020.   And put four or five young orginalists on the SCOTUS.

Progressives are oblivious to the damage they are doing to themselves. Just as they assumed Trump would be defeated, and then subsequently dethroned by their over the top and absurd assertions, they find themselves still in the same hole, only digging more vigorously every day. They are mad, confused and mentally broken and Trump leads them onward into the land of absurdia. You can bet that any attempt to use the justice system to bring these fools down, would blow up in Trump's face as they still own the intelligence agencies and most of the DOJ, which is why Sessions does nothing. Instead he can let them hang them selves. We will assume that much of the world doesn't see what's happening....but they do. Most are in denial or simply remaining silent....for now, but when reality finally takes hold.....well, if you thought Weinstein was shocked by the sudden turn in adulation, just wait until all these liberal koolaid drinkers start vomiting this poison up!

Trump is in a political fight, going after hearts and minds, not a legalistic one (yet).Progressives are oblivious.  Case in point--even at the level of a tiny little piglet, I know that my phone provides capabilities of transmitting signals into the aether that become public.  I know that the technology also permits anyone to "listen in."  For instance, when the most senior staff of the Federal Bureau of Matters starts certain discussions using thoughtfully-provided Obama Phones that leave information in their "permanent record", they take all of the usual OPSEC precautions, right?  Well, actually, this is one of the few times where the piglet is wrong.Progressives are filled with hubris.  Trump's approach is to "Pretend inferiority and encourage [his enemies'] arrogance".  It was old when it was documented thousands of years ago by some dead guy.As far as the Progressives are concerned, this is a strategy described in an OpOrder (Top Secret -- Carrottop) that they can't comprehend.  The strategy will remain secret (from progressives and the MSM of all flavouirs), since its origins are earlier than the beginning of Progressive History in the early 1880s.Trump and gang are out to defeat the Progressive Agenda--we all know  that Progressives can't stand ridicule.  Bunch of weasel bastards.- Ned

"it makes sense for the Republicans to leave Mueller rightr where he is"Right.  Sounds very 4-d chess.  Very smart and clever to let this guy continue to uncover everything that Trump's team ever did that may have been wrong, because it will show the world that Trump is really a very lawful guy and honest and all that to let this go on.I've heard this argument a lot lately and it smacks of desperation or just plain stupidity.  Trump either fights back or dies.  There is not a single person in the country who would change their mind if Trump went on the offensive.  The left is already convinced he is a criminal Russian agent.  Let them think what they want if he fires Mueller.  There is literally nothing Trump could do to get their support.  But guys like me who have written him off would actually rally around him if he said enough is enough and fired all of these deep state assholes.  But Trump will stay on the defense because it's theater.

Exactly. Let the libtards squeal.

Act like a Chief Executive and Commander in Chief.

If you aren't a gender fluid member of a special victims unit, they will hate you anyway, and call you the hater.

Mueller has run on long enough, time to jerk his chain, and bring him to heel.

Start arresting those named, thus far.

It would be gross negligence and dereliction of duty to not do so.

I did not vote for Trump to appease the Hillary supporters.
