Democrats Humiliate Themselves With Their Own Study On Illegal Online Gun Sales

Authored by Mac Slavo via,

Gun-hating democrats who demanded a study into the sale of guns online were smacked with a dose of reality. They wasted two years attempting to buy guns illegally on the 'dark web', and the group of Democrats failed every single time.

Senator Elizabeth Warren joined with Senator Brian Schultz, D-Hawaii, and Representative Elijah Cummings, D-Md., to commission the GAO report.

An embarrassing attempt to try to regulate guns further went horribly wrong when Democrats took it upon themselves to try to skirt the law to prove it can be done. Over the course of the two-and-a-half year investigation, agents tried to buy firearms illegally on the “Surface Web” and the “Dark Web,” generally by sharing their status as “prohibited individuals” or trying to buy across state lines.

The NRA described the study as an attempt to replicate the findings of former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s 2015 report, titled “Point, Click, Fire: An investigation of illegal online gun sales,” which found that 62 percent of private sellers were willing to proceed with a sale, even if the prospective purchaser could not pass a background check.

But the GAO revealed that every single one of their 72 attempts outside of the “dark web” were “unsuccessful.” It kind of makes one wonder where Bloomberg got his information and statistics. As if that isn’t bad enough, to humiliate those in power who think of us as less equal than them, the bulk of this rather embarrassing study is being ignored by the mainstream media.

“Private sellers on Surface Web gun forums and in classified ads were unwilling to sell a firearm to our agents that self-identified as being prohibited from possessing a firearm,” the GAO reported, noting that in their “72 attempts … 56 sellers refused to complete a transaction once we revealed that either the shipping address was across state lines or that we were prohibited by law from owning firearms.” In the other cases, the investigators’ website was frozen or they encountered suspected scammers.

On the dark web, GAO agents successfully purchased two guns illegally, as the serial numbers on the weapons were “obliterated” and “shipped across state lines.” But in the attempt to purchase, the GAO agents “did not disclose any information indicating they were prohibited from possessing a firearm.”Fox News

Based on the findings of this study, the Democrats have no recommendations to report. “GAO’s findings showed nothing so much as that private sellers advertising online are knowledgeable about the law, conscientious, and self-policing,” The National Rifle Association said, adding that online gun sales are “subject to the same federal laws that apply to any other commercial or private gun sales.”

For those not aware, gun sales are often allowed between private parties with no check of anything.  This would always be within the same state.  And in my state there is no obligation to register anything following the sale.  I can just imagine some lefty discovering guns sold this way and thinking they have found a huge legal problem.....NOT!!

My response: DEMOCRATS are not the problem. The real problem is the people who voted these people into office in the first place. Truly sad how clueless American voters are when CASTING A VOTE for the candidates they elect into office.

Below is a little wisdom that should be applied when voting for a candidate.

"But select capable men (or women??) from all the people --- people who fear God, trustworthy people who hate dishonest gain."

The above wisdom would disqualify many of the people in Washington DC today which would include all DEMOCRATS.

...speaking of uninformed state, CA, passed by popular initiative prop 63 which makes it more difficult for a law abiding citizen to buy ammo. The problem in CA is that there are just 3 urban centers which control about 70% of all the votes. At the mercy of these urbanites are all those normal folks in CA living in rural areas who happen to like hunting, shooting, and fishing. If you are a normal, white, heterosexual male you are rankly discriminated against by the dems running sacto.

An alternative headline might read something along the lines of 'White Gun Owners aren't willing to rick jail time and permanent inability to own guns for a few hundred dollars'. I wouldn't mail one to anyone. I've never sold a gun like this (boating accident) but i know a couple people that have, and they all make the buyer show them a concealed carry permit to buy, that way you don't have to worry about them being a prohibited person. One guy that has sold a couple like that sets the meeting place at a police station parking lot. If the guy won't go there to conduct the transaction, and doesn't have a CCW, no problem, chances are that unless you are selling a very niche market firearm, another buyer that will do those things will be along shortly.

Funny, they could have just talked to a few gun owners or users and figured all this out. Just another way they really are clueless. This is another example of them starting to believe the lies they spew. They have repeated the lie that you can just buy any gun you want on the internet so many times, they are now surprised to find out it that this isn't actually true.

He's probably referring to the fact that CCDW license holders have been properly vetted. The problem with that is, you can have a CCDW card in your wallet and it's been revoked. CCDW license card doesn't mean shit to me when I sell a firearm. If I don't know you personally, it goes through an FFL on a form 4473 period.

I am well aware of the a CCW is and does. And yes, it is possible for a person to have become a prohibited person and still retain the little card. But, I am not REQUIRED to do anything. I can sell a gun to someone where I live just by asking if they are a prohibted person. Sure, they may lie, but thats on them, I'll have done what is required of me by law. Asking to see a CCW is an unrequired extra step that would give me a little piece of mind, and just in case that person does something they shouldn't, I am more covered than I would be otherwise.

We know why they really want the population (except criminal gangs) disarmed - look back at history - disarm first, tyranny second...and we're heading straight into that IF and as soon as we disarm. Kangaroo courts for any who dare to resist their talmudic 'utopian' hell realm world:…
