Dead. Market. Walking...

Liquidity in the "most liquid equity futures contract in the world" has evaporated.

As Nanex's Eric Scott Hunsader exclaims, "Liquidity has flatlined... just incredible..."

As Jason Diomedes (@TradingWits) writes ominously, this liquidity flush is the "equivalent of 1987 crash when equity market makers stopped answering their phones."

Hubris always rears its muddled head in these situations.  If this is an effort to take down Trump by taking down the economy, the resulting chaos can easily spiral out of control.  If I were Trump, I would insert the meme that this looks very suspicious.  Everything was fine until we decided to investigate the dirty dealings of some major players in the deep state.  Who did they threaten to bring down the economy?

Was wondering when the Den market fixers would step in to change the narrative.  Who cares about a corrupt FBI, DOJ, Hillary or not Obama when your stawks are falling.  Its the economy stupid.

Ironically it is the exact same economy we had last week, but -3,000 points. What has really changed to have such a concerted selloff?  Bonds approaching %3?

This is all kabuki to stop the Trumpster from using his market braggadocio so the Dems have a chance to regain seats at the midterms, and to stop GOP from investigating the investigators.

Nearly everyone theorized that the banksters would not implode this thing until Trump had been in office for at least a year. By doing so, it would create the illusion of time and distance from implicating the magic negro's economic policies and the merry band of bankster scum enablers that constructed the house of cards. However, I thought that the bankster scum would wait until summer to collapse it in order to drum up support for their Demoncat allies just prior to the midterm elections. I gambled and lost.
