Weinstein & Company Sued By New York AG For "Egregious Violations" Of Human Rights

The New York Attorney General's office filed a bombshell civil rights lawsuit on Sunday against Harvey Weinstein and the co-founders of the Weinstein Co. for "egregious violations of New York's civil rights, human rights and business laws," pointing to a corporate culture which failed to protect employees from abusive behavior.

The filing is expected to be a major roadblock - if not derail entirely - the $500-million deal to sell the embattled studio to an investor group led by former Obama administration official Maria Contreras-Sweet - which was expected to be signed next week. Contreras-Sweet was previously the head of the Small Business Administration.

"The lawsuit, filed Sunday in New York County Supreme Court, jeopardizes the planned sale to Contreras-Sweet, backed by billionaire Ron Burkle's Yucaipa Cos., who has been in negotiations with the Weinstein Co. for weeks. The Contreras-Sweet deal would give her control over the studio's assets and promised to set up a majority-female board and establish a fund to help women who have alleged abuse by Weinstein." -LA Times

The 38-page filing by the NY AG details a series of abuses by co-founder and CEO Harvey Weinstein, who has been accused by 84 women of sexual assault or misconduct since allegations emerged in reports by the New York Times and New Yorker last October.

Schneiderman’s complaint details Harvey Weinstein issuing threats to TWC employees and the fact that the company had “a group of female employees whose primary job it was to accompany HW (sic) to events and to facilitate HW’s sexual conquests.” The complaint further states: “One of the members of this entourage was flown from London to New York to teach HW’s assistants how to dress and smell more attractive to HW.” -Variety

Follow-up reports by both publications detail Weinstein's decades of paying off abusers, as well as the disgraced mogul's use of undercover former Mossad spies - referred to him by former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, to intimidate his victims into silence, and halt negative publications about Weinstein.

"The Weinstein Co. repeatedly broke New York law by failing to protect its employees from pervasive sexual harassment, intimidation, and discrimination," said New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman in a statement. "Any sale of The Weinstein Co. must ensure that victims will be compensated, employees will be protected going forward, and that neither perpetrators nor enablers will be unjustly enriched. Every New Yorker has a right to a workplace free of sexual harassment, intimidation and fear."

The complaint also cites instances in which Weinstein Co. senior managers failed to respond to employee complaints about Harvey Weinstein’s behavior. The complaint cites TWC’s “COO” but does not cite David Glasser by name. The four-month probe included “an exhaustive review of company records and emails,” according to the Attorney General.  -Variety

According to documents reviewed by the Los Angeles Times, the NY Attorney General is demanding that the company will establish a fund that will adequately compensate accusers - seeking assurances that the company will put the proceeds from any sale into escrow which would normally go to Harvey Weinstein or his brother and co-founder Bob. Moreover, Schneiderman's office has demanded oversight over any purchase agreement to ensure that the company takes appropriate measures to protect employees - a request that Contreras-Sweet has reportedly balked at.

The company is also accused of violating gender discrimination laws, as the Weinsteins and their company are accused of having "repeatedly and persistently treated female employees less well than male-employees through gender-based hostile workplace harassment, quid pro quo harassment, and discrimination," according to the lawsuit.

New allegations

The New York AG filing also contains several new and salacious details from the Weinstein case. According to the complaint, in 2014 and 2015 Weinstein "exposed himself to a female employee and made her take dictation from him while he leered at her, naked on his bed. That same employee described how HW would insist that she sit next to him in the back seat of his chauffeured vehicle and would place his hand on her upper thigh and buttocks near her genitalia and rub her body without her consent. When she attempted to place bags or other barriers between them to make it harder for him to reach her, he moved the barriers or repositioned himself so that the unwelcome sexual contact could continue.

The New York suit also seeks to force The Weinstein Co. to give up its non-disclosure (NDA) agreements with former employees in order to continue investigating the company.

”TWC’s culture of harassment and intimidation remained shrouded in secrecy because of HW’s and TWC’s practice of securing silence through Non-Disclosure Agreements (“NDAs”) that prohibited individuals from speaking about their experiences at TWC,” said the Attorney General's office.

Weinstein Co. is facing several other lawsuits, including a class-action filed in November accusing the studio of enabling Weinstein's behavior. No word if he will call Matt Damon, Benn Afflek, Donna Karan or Oliver Stone - all of whom defended the mogul, as character witnesses.

So we are forced to hear raunchy fairy tales from Congress about Russians, but foreign recipients of American welfare checks who run organized Hollyweird crime cartels get off the hook.

And Ehud Barak sent retired ( American welfare checks) Mossad agents to keep the targets in line.

Our tax dollars at work.

Were they Yomutti's brothers too?

Were they -- as Yomutti likes to say -- hunting?

The DC Swamp, the MSM, and all the hangers on are doing their best to protect the USS Liberty killers.

The only reason why anybody probably ever watched Oprah crying on TV all the time is due to all the competition being daytime drama where the same 15 people have been on the show for 30 years in between dying and being resurrected.  That daytime TV indoctrinates housewives into some really strange behavior as well.  People probably get tired of that shit while folding underwear and socks and go watch Oprah cry for a while.  Doctor Phil caused a lot of problems for my friend and his mentally ill wife.  She watched that long enough to be convinced that she was abused ten ways to Sunday.  I am pretty sure he will be terrorized into a heart attack before long.  The daytime TV watchers often turn into histrionic-behaving drama queens that live in a different reality.  The weird slow music on those shows is hypnosis inducing.

The people of NY cannot rise up as long as the people of NYC keep putting Bolshevik morons into office.

NYC needs all of NYS to support it and consumes the lion's share of money but the rest of the State gets little back.

After all de Blasio did to drag NYC further into the sewer he still got re-elected by a large margin.

It goes without saying that he got all the victim groups and marxism infested academia, but most of NYC is leftist and would vote for him no matter what he says or does.

Many people in NYC make really good salaries but they are leftist morons.

In the stage world, which centers in New York, you have the Gay Mafia running things. Befriend this crowd and you will continually get work. Piss them off, and you'll never work in this town again.

The other girl, the actress who was friends with the comedienne, actually had a TV agent in the city who put her up for a minor speaking role on the TV show ER.

This actress was told that she needed to sleep with - I think it was the casting director, not the episode director - and she did. She got the small performing role. Her agent had basically operated as a madam - setting her up to sleep with the director to get the role. After the agent knew the actress was willing to go that route to get work, she set her up to work as a full-time escort between acting jobs. The last I talked to this poor actress, she had descended into full-time prostitution because she wasn't getting audiitons for acting work, but her agent was sending her loads of johns to sleep with! So many acting agencies are fronts for prostitution, escort services, S&M/dungeon master stuff, and worse.

What I've talked about so far is what happens in the very lowest levels, the lowest "tier" of show business. This is where I was, where people were basically just working for a living, trying to keep themselves and their integrity intact, naive about the larger stuff going on for the most part. Some made bad choices, fell into prostitution, drug use, and/or porn - amongst the models, actors, and actresses I knew. But most of the people I personally knew well then stayed at that level. They never became famous or "big."

Casting directors, agents, and/or directors always made it clear that you not only make yourself available to sleep with that specific power player, but most actresses are expected to be on call in what's basically a pool of prostitute/escorts for other powerful people that particular person might know.

The being who was masquerading as Michael Jackson around 1990-1995 often rented out a suite at Leona Helmsey's The Palace luxury hotel. A friend of mine in the hotel industry took me to see this huge penthouse suite, which takes up two stories, has amazing views, beautiful grand piano, endless rooms. This woman who was the concierge there during the time MJ was staying there told me about how he would have groups of 10 - 15 Mexican boys, under the age of 15, shipped in by a mysterious limo driver who would show up at the back delivery entrance and bring the kids in for "play dates" with Michael. And MJ also always had Bubbles the chimp with him and some other staff/entourage. The boys would stay over for a night or two and then be shipped back out again. My friend and all the staff used to dealing with VIP's knew that they would be blacklisted from working in the hotel industry in New York if they let word get out about this.

The rooms were always a mess afterwards, she told me. Semen stains all over the expensive couches. She showed me some of the specific couches that had had to be replaced several times. Nasty stuff.

She didn't want to tell me anything more, but suffice it to say that the insiders in the VIP hotel/lodgings world see a lot of stuff involving child sex trafficking and sex slavery and these people being shipped in for certain stars. The same goes for women sex slaves, too, it all depends on the celebrity's tastes.

the porn industry in california is like a dating service for these girls, before dating services were dating services.  they don't get enough "exposure" striping in clubs.  limited clientele.

sort of like centerfolds.  presenting the goods for sugar daddies to see.  call in.   bid on.

charlie sheen had them all on speed dial.  probably still does.

The women who watch Lifetime and Bravo are engineered to be mean little Man Haters.  Then in the afternoon, they watch Dr. Phil and Maury Povich, wheel out a whole litany of retarded, drama queens.  Watching a full-on fight in the chimp cage at the zoo, would be a lot less stressful (and at least meaningful as well, compared).

I'm a little confused by the language of the lawsuit. Are they saying it's illegal to hire women and task them to find you pussy as part of their job description? Who knew?

What a fucking moron this guy is besides being a total cad, he'll be convicted 9 ways to sunday and lose every fucking penny he ever saved. Oprah should be ashamed of herself. She certainly isn't any champion for women.
