Quoth the Raven Podcast #1 - Bill Fleckenstein

Bill is a professional money manager with over 30 years of experience. He has written daily commentary on market action since 1996 and FleckensteinCapital.com launched in 2003. His website is: https://www.fleckensteincapital.com/

I ask Bill about his encounter with Tim Seymour on CNBC, the state of financial media, his thoughts on the recent market pullback and (laughably) what he thinks about incoming Fed Chair Jerome Powell.

Haven't heard from Bill for a loooong time.

Like Peter Shiff, he had the fundamentals correct, but he (like most of us) had no idea the fed would print and twist the market into pretzels with manipulation.

Japan was a proof of concept.

Bernanke took the world where no world has ever gone before but it's anyone's guess how long this could go on since it's all based on confidence in the system.

As long as you can buy stuff and your debit card works this can go on for a very long time but the distortions are reeking unimagineable havoc.

It's like the entire business world has gotten fat, drunk and stupid because being big is all that matters, the bigger the better but that doesn't mean it has any innovation.

Add all of that to the astonding technological displacement of labor and it's a tsunami wave that moves glacially.
