Prohibition Never Works: Banning Alcohol Didn't Work, And Banning Guns Won't Either

Authored by Mac Slavo via,

They say those who don’t pay attention to history are destined to repeat it...

It seems like even though humans have paid attention, they somehow think the same things that failed in the past, like prohibition and communism, will magically work now.

Alcohol kills almost three times as many Americans as guns. Last year, about 33,000 people died of gunshot-related injuries, including those who shot themselves; suicide. When removing those who killed themselves only (again, suicide), that number drops to 15,549, by even anti-gun activists estimates.  To put that in perspective, this year’s flu and the vaccine to “prevent” said flu is more deadly. So far, it’s been killing an estimated 4,000 Americans per week. That’s roughly 16,000 per month, a number already higher than last year’s total “gun deaths” which include justified homicides (or self-defense.) You don’t have to be a genius at math to understand that “gun violence” isn’t really the epidemic the media wants you to believe.

By comparison, alcohol abuse killed nearly 88,000 people in 2015 in the United States. So why not ban booze? Because the United States tried that.  It was called prohibition, and it didn’t work.

It resulted in the government poisoning their own people: yes, the US government.  The same government that the anti-gun activists say wouldn’t do that to us. Rational humans would rather not see the government get a monopoly on guns. But the US has strayed rather far from logic, relying on emotional outbursts and teenage angst temper tantrums.

Joe Joseph from the Daily Sheeple also brings an interesting point to consider. “Did you know, that alcohol is the number one underlying cause and factor behind crime in the US?” Alcohol is alone causes more harm to society than heroin, cocaine, and marijuana combined.

So where’s society’s outrage over alcohol abuse?  Why aren’t kids marching for alcohol control? Because prohibition doesn’t work.

People who want to break the law and drink will do so.  People snort cocaine regardless of the fact that it’s illegal.  Where is society’s outrage at the right thing?

“Where are all the millions of dollars and campaign contributions and television ads trying to save people’s lives from the dangers of alcohol?” Joseph asks.

“This is huge because we have to look at the facts. And the facts are: while it’s awful that these events take place, they’re anomalies in the grand scheme of things. Alcoholism is not an anomaly. It’s very present, ever present in our society and substance abuse is getting worse and worse and worse because the root cause isn’t being tackled.”

The root cause is pain and voids within a person. The problem is that social engineering has created a god for people and that god is the government. And it’s a very poor substitute for actual spirituality, says Joseph.

Americans don’t “pull themselves up by their own bootstraps” and rely on their ingenuity and faith and individual strengths.  Americans now rely on the god created by social engineering: government. Simply suggest that humans could run their own lives just fine without a government, and most people will act as if you actually insulted their god.

“Freedom is not free,” says Joseph. “Freedom comes at a great cost. It takes a lot to maintain freedom….people are being pushed to the point of rebellion in this country and on purpose.”

Maybe... it's just the next scam?

You can have your guns...but you will buy a liability insurance policy on them.

And so it goes, insurance corporations are upstanding pillars of the community(ba-HAHAHA), politicians luv campaign contributions, fake news luv's drama drills, and low and behold, it's the law of the land.  And you aren't a patriotic 'mercan if you disagree.

Class warfare against the second amendment; greedy corporation style.  Captain comb-over, the commander and tax cheat will gladly get on board because history reveals he has been a minion for the swamp since the late 1970's.  Great article describing the background and our current new world odor.…

Banning guns in itself does maybe not work - if you have a violent population and lots of criminal organisations, they will find a way around it. But there are many countries with a much lower rate of gun crimes and massacres - actually most countries in the world are better than the U.S.. And most of them have strict gun laws.

What is needed is gun control with a change of attitude in the population, not only the elites. As long as you use your guns to prove your manhood, forget it. But I think young people will start moving away from that kind of thinking which is displayed also at ZH. I think that is what those angry white old men are fearing most - that their intelligent daughters and sons will say hasta la vista and not care about their way of living any more.

It Amazes me that you are human and not some animal like a dog or horse. I have communicated with dogs and horses that had more understanding than you.

The article clearly demonstrated that FACTUALLY there are bigger "things" put there killing more people than guns. And if those "things" didn't exist people would still be dying by killing themselves and others with some other "thing". Because "THINGS" DON'T KILL PEOPLE, PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE......AND MOSTLY THEMSELVES!

For the love of God, please wake up! People are the problem. Why do you cover your outlets when you have a toddler? Not because the outlets are a problem, but because the toddler is too ignorant to know better. At what point do we all quit being so ignorant? Booze is not the problem, people are.

So how do you fix people? Herd them and pen them up like animals? No one likes the answer. No one is interested in the answer. The heart of humans is their problem, but keep ignoring THE problem, focus on "things", and the problem will only get worse.

He has a point that we are foolish to insist on responsible gun ownership when we flood the country with irresponsible people and excuse people for their lack of responsibility.

The truth is that white people are losing their rights because they fail to maintain a white culture by protecting it against unassimilable immigrants and having enough babies to keep the government loyal to their demos.

Angry white men? Drunk Messican's love them some guns. Shoot 'em in the air like an Arab wedding.

The culture YOU adore is the one leading to mass psychosis. Progressive gun controlled countries, just choose a different form of trauma, like the mass importation of jihadis.

The only thing your post shows is you have been estrogen overdosed by diet or environment... that or you walk around in a dressing gown like Buffalo Bill from SOTL.

+ 6000000

Just never question certain truths while in western Europe, or why there are Holocaust museums in every major American city, when we had nothing to do with it?

We are now reaching levels of goyim knowing never thought possible, thanks in part to the banning of even questioning certain (((truths))) and the jailing of even grandmothers who merely ask.

The truth will always win out eventually.

Until then, your actions will continue to wake more and more of us goy.

6 million upvotes for you schlomo.

Fuck yeah it did, the CIA made a mint on all sides of the ball:  they got to kill or arrest their competitors; free reign to cross the border and distribute; free perks for giving drugs to politicians and banksters; and freedom from justice if caught.

I seem to remember a similar scenario with the FBI and alcohol about a 100 years ago or so...

To imagine that a polity that has been arming itself for the better part of 100 years, in a way never available to them before, will wilt before you *tremble* militia is beyond laughable.

As I said yesterday, gunz as a topic is so polarizing that it detracts from the deepest questions.

Like, how the fuck did we get here in the first place? Root cause analysis, problem solving 101 right?

Remember this, when you go into a deep rabbit hole, the way in is usually the only way out as well.…

Tylers, this news could get you many clicks:

OT but worth it.

Looks like the guy that ran over and killed the chick in Charlottesville was likely chased into his car by a man with a gun.  The linked youtube video shows the confrontation of the  -College Professor-  that was carrying the gun,  and some pretty clear signs of guilt being displayed:

"Antifa Professor Confronted About Chasing Fields Into His Car at Charlottesville"

Sorry for the interruption, but this needs to grow legs.

Will they ban every show on tv and movie and video game that glamorizes guns, as well?

The fact is the USA is a war nation with a massive MIC, all of which advocate weapons and war machines.

There’s absolutely no problem with our general public owning guns, but there’s a out of control problem everywhere else with anything involving gov.

Well if banning guns won't work then let them do it. Personally I'm looking forward to getting my hands on a cheap black market. 50 cal armor piercing machine gun,  grenade launcher,  and rocket launcher all off the books. Armament that will put the fear of God in law enforcement because your toy vests and vehicles won't repel that.

Full auto, RPGs, LAWS, Claymores...

Just like when drugs are illegal: you go to buy yourself a little dimebag of weed, and while you're there, you're presented with a cornucopia of other drugs that also happen to be on sale. You make a package deal and walk out with several unplanned purchases.

Replace "dimebag" with "Glock 19", then illegal drugs with the things listed above.

That's what illegal guns would do... open up a plethora of new options currently unavailable to us hoi polloi. LIke Mexico, anything and everything if the price is right.

The Left will never be satisfied. If all guns vanished tomorrow they'll attack us over something else. You can't give those idiots an inch. Just tell them "no!" They're easily distracted anyway. Every week they're rallying around a new cause. Literally every week it's something else with those retards.

This is not really about guns it’s about the simple fact that the liberals hate the middle Americans that don’t agree with them.  .

Were the pulling down of confederate statues that had been standing for 100 years about racism or just a reminder to the locales that voted Trump who is really in charge?  It was payback

Guns and middle America are viewed as one and the same   They are hated and America would be better off without them

I don't know the numbers but i will bet my last dollar that the anti-gun lobby spends 10 to 100 times as much to ban guns as the NRA spends to protect the 2nd amendment just by the fact that the libtards yell about NRA money

Stan Smith tooldog Fri, 02/23/2018 - 02:42 Permalink

Easy.   And then some.    The NRA is barely in the top 100 when it comes to dollars spent on lobbying, I think it was 86th last year.

It's not the dollars, or the donors.    It's the fact that tens of millions of people own guns,  and will vote on the 2nd amendment alone when pushed.

The NRA is a symbol for them,  their real issue is with gun owners.   They just want to pretend thats not the case.

Real Estate, Banks, and Law firms are by far the biggest lobbyists (in terms of dollars).

How about banning gun purchases by immigrants, felons, dishonorably discharged military, expelled students, anyone convicted of domestic abuse, anyone committing a crime with a gun, and anyone on OxyContin and other mind altering drugs — and leaving the REST OF US alone!

World citizen NoWayJose Fri, 02/23/2018 - 03:49 Permalink

Excellent point. Here where I am living, Northern European country, you can put your hands on a gun only after you obtained a certificate of good conduct from the local authorities - basically a criminal record check.

Before you can actually buy a gun, you must have one year long training at a certificated shooting range.

And about carrying your gun around... just forget it completely. You can travel from home to the range, that's it. Hunting guns work slightly differently, but the basic concept is the same.

Concealed carry is a crime in all cases.

We had one shooting incident in the country in the last 30 years. Maybe just a coincidence.

Gins were banned from that school so obviously it has not worked — at that school, in Chicago and San Francisco and every other gun banning place.

Disarm every armed body guard from gun grabbers.

LetThemEatRand Thu, 02/22/2018 - 22:46 Permalink

They don't want to ban guns in order to stop people from using them.  They want to ban guns to justify arresting everyone who owns one.  Same as prohibition.  More government, more law enforcement, more people in prison.  See also the war on terrorism which essentially legalized spying on all Americans without a warrant.
