"We Must Act Soon" - Trump Asks China To Reduce Trade Deficit

Having reached a record high trade deficit with China this morning, President Trump turned his attention from "global" tariffs to China.

China trade deficit (in red) below...

In his latest tweet, Trump explained that:

"China has been asked to develop a plan for the year of a One Billion Dollar reduction in their massive Trade Deficit with the United States. "

Which judging from the chart above is a drop in the ocean. But then Trump turned a little more diplomatic:

"Our relationship with China has been a very good one, and we look forward to seeing what ideas they come back with. We must act soon!"

We look forward to China's response too...

Americans put their faith in government.  They deserve to get taken advantage of.

But Chinese tariffs on American goods are not taking advantage of America.  It's the Chinese government (and the oligarchs running it) taking advantage of the Chinese consumer by artificially reducing competition, in China.  It has nothing to do with America or American jobs or the American economy.  The American government has ruined the American economy, not the Chinese.

You can sit here and play this blame game for the rest of your life.  It will never fix anything.  It will only make things worse because you are counting on the criminals who did this to us to fix everything.  So like I said, you deserve what you get.

If America were so weak that a shithole communist state on the other side of the world could take down our economy just by taxing our goods then we were doomed to fail anyway.  It's nonsense.  We did this to ourselves.  The sooner we realize this the sooner we can correct the problem and get on the right track again.

Remember in the 90's, when Wal-Mart Sam was on TV talking about how he saved a clothing manufacturer in North Carolina (or some place like that) by backing up the Wal-Mart trucks and buying "Made in America" stuff.

Why ask the Chinese?  The answer is 'no'.  Do SOMETHING to get those people in that have been unemployed for two decades back in the factories.  Oh, and by the way....they aren't going to be able to make $25 per/hour.  The world has changed.

How about asking Wal-Mart to put a "made in America" banner over anything that was actually..."made here"

Actually, the rest of the world can fuck off and find some other market to sell their stuff into. Unfettered access to the U.S. market is what the Globalists and all the other countries want, and have had. Now, it's time to rebuild this nation, even if that only means making automated factories. At least that keeps construction jobs and technology here.

You have good intention.

So we use AIs and Robots to produce shits here... and sell to Americans.  OK, sure only if the unemployed Americans have basic income.

And it's not up to the slave workers to decide what to do.  Business owners will want to sell American made stuffs oversea..

Are you a big time business owner... or tiny parking lot wagon?

None of our business.  Cheap goods are always a positive thing.  Trade is a good thing.  More options makes everyone richer.  Cheap goods free up labor here for other jobs where that productivity is more efficient, or it could be if the bureaucracy didn't have it's boot on the throat of entrepreneurs everywhere.  You literally cannot do anything without asking mommy government for permission first.  You can breath, for now.  That's about it.  For everything else you have to get licensed and pay all sorts of taxes and fees.  Retarded Americans don't care about this though.  They don't think it has much effect on the domestic economy.  No it's all those Dang Chineses half a world away.  They're the real reason people can't afford their McMansion in Beverly Hills.  But hey, at least they can always have their brand new iphone whenever a new one comes out.  Sure it's exactly the same as the old one but that's $1000 well spent.

I remember all the progressives used to say chattel slavery made America rich by giving us so much cheap/free stuff (therefore reparations are due).  Now Trumpian progressives believe Chinese slavery is making us all poor by giving us so much cheap stuff.  Make up your mind retards.

Completely ignoring the devastation that the US federal state (and state and local government and all the help from the myriad bureaus micromanaging everything) has wrought on our economy and going straight to the Chinese.  In LaLa land where most Americans live the Chinese government has a bigger effect on the US economy than the US government.  Typical.  I just hope you learn when the Trump tariffs make everything WORSE, as they inevitably will.  Maybe you'll clamor for Bernie Sanders to come raise taxes on the "rich."  Because no matter the problem, the solution is always more government.

China's main strategy has always been military. Pandas, shit-eating smiles, blather, it didn't matter, so long as China can bribe America's Globalists and Politicians to rob American jobs, while China built up it's manufacturing base.

In the end it sucks to be China. There is nothing that China produces that wasn't once built in the United States. And if the U.S. market is squeezed out of China's hands, China doesn't have enough foreign currency to prop up the pegged Yuan.

The long game doesn't favor China, especially since Trump called bullshit on the North Korean ruse.

Chinese tend to talk in terms of 'long term relationships', but act in terms of what benefits them first, and most.

And I didn't even have to travel to China in order to learn this lesson first hand, by simply dealing with them on a daily basis here...   The Chinese are wonderful people, but thousands of years of Mandarin rule has a way of altering the DNA...  Viets tend to be the same way, only not quite as 'refined'...

The American stable genius had many funny tweets ,but this one takes the pudding.

China is doing something ,only that JUSA does not like it.

-China is becoming the no 1 manufacturing power in the world

-China is establishing an alternative financial system ,which involves .... gasp...GOLD

-China continues lifting its people out of poverty (more than 60 Mil have become rich ,multi Millionaires ,an increasingly powerful middle class)

-China offers an alternative of win-win cooperation to other counties ,building stuff.

-China has a lot of GOLD ,bitchezzz

-and China has a lot of US debt that JUSA can not pay even in paper fiat $. Imagine when we reverse to Gold ,bc it's coming

Meanwhile ,in the land of the exceptional bankrupt US:

-US does not build too much ,some weapons ,some tech ,but even those rely on multiple imports

-petro-f*cking -$ is a dying Beast ( the 7 headed Beast ,see the seven President Heads on the $ bills)

-the US middle class is shrinking more rapidly than the Russia meddling one

-US offers only wars and destruction (look only at the alst 16 years)

-as for GOLD , ask Mnuchin and wife ,they "have seen it"

-Us has a lot of WEALTH expressed in debt :federal, states, corporate, personal . Very ,very rich.

America truly doesn't make anything anymore and China knows this.  They know what trump is saying is a paper tiger pure and simple.  But if Trump does anything China will shoot a shot across our bow and say that they are dumping some of our treasuries and/or not buying any to the tune of whatever the savings he wants.

Give U.S. an unconditional interest free $5 trillion loan or little "Rocket Man" GETS IT!...

"Rinse and Repeat" for the Russian Federation that keeps dumping it's worthless U.S. Treasuries for that yellow metal that we don't have anymore other than a yellow colored electroplated token with a big "B" stamped across it that was supposed to be our means of collateral to loot from your people until you did the "UNTHINKABLE" (https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-01-05/bitcoin-miners-migrate-china-…)!!!
