Trump Comments On Gun Control, Will Wait For Court Before Acting On Age Restrictions

Update: Trump just reiterated that schools being "gun-free" zones leaves them vulnerable to mass shooters - who wouldn't dare to attack a place if they knew people with guns were there.

* * *

After the White House announced last night declared that it would back a new Justice Department program to help states train teachers and other school personnel to carry guns, President Trump has weighed in personally in a series of tweets, saying the White House would "watch court cases and rulings" before making a final decision on whether to raise age limits for rifle purchases.

Trump touted the "very strong improvement and strengthening of background checks" - a reference to the bipartisan "Fix NICS" bill that the administration has said it would support- and said "legislation would be moving forward," adding that "bump stocks will soon be out!"

Also, "highly trained expert teachers" would be trained by the state to carry concealed weapons.

Last night, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos said she will chair a government commission exploring steps to prevent school violence, per Politico.

"We are committed to working quickly because there’s no time to waste," DeVos said on a conference call with reporters. "No student, no family, no teacher and no school should have to live the horror of Parkland or Sandy Hook or Columbine again."

The commission's work is expected to be completed within a year.

Trump's comments about the age-limit legislation represents yet another position-shift. Trump initially promised that the NRA would sanction lifting age limits, but was then forced to walk it back.

However, Florida Gov. Rick Scott just signed a bill raising the age limit on rifle purchases to 21 in his state after it initially faced opposition from Republicans.

First they came for the bump stocks and I said nothing...because I did not have a bump stock...

Just so we're clear, this is a device that is designed to turn an accurate rifle into an inaccurate area weapon. It is designed to make your rifle less accurate. It also performs a function easily completed with a belt, belt loop, string, or fast-moving finger. You solve nothing.

Also - other than the Las Vegas "shooting"...have bump stocks been used in any of these school shootings? Why are these on the table?

How long until Jeff Sessions regulates how fast I can move my trigger finger? Will these owners be compensated for the bump stocks that they have purchased and are forced by new legislation to surrender? Or are they going to "grandfather" these stocks in?

I honestly could care less about bump stocks. They just make a fine firearm less accurate. I would never want one. Try pulling the trigger on your AR as fast as you can, and see how accurate you are. Two or three round bursts are the most accurate, if you want rapid fire for some odd reason. Anything more than that, you're just wasting ammo. That is, unless you are firing into a crowd of people. Can't see myself ever doing that. Of course, I would never be like some on here, and say "Hey, I don't have one, so that means that no one else should have one either." Those guys are just fucking assholes. I'm just saying that I would never have a use for them. Ammo is expensive, and I don't like wasting it.

I see it as an agenda, the delaying the age of gun ownership is just undermining the 2nd amendment.  The banning of this or that plastic clod of stock is a legislative first step and precedent in other bans to follow, today it was a bump stock, then a mag capacity, then a velocity capacity, and then all guns must have red tips or green ones..

I'm not kumbaya with the POTUS saying he can "just skip due process" anymore than I'm wanting to hear after the fact that the crazy fucking shooter told people of wanting to massacre people.

The POTUS statements in respect to the 2nd Amendment are similar to the crazy gunman as he has executive level powers of governance to undermine the 2nd Amendment and is now consistently doing so.

Bottom line this NRA member is going to support "any candidate" right of Trump.  I'm still not hearing or convinced that Trump gets it.

Ryan Bundy plans to run for Nevada governor as independent.. and that is something Trump seems to have not thought through.  This next election the assumption that the same deplorable's aren't going to look at the actions and not the words. Will be Trumps margin of error.

I think Trump tweeted too soon on the NRA thing and didn't have the facts.…

The NRA isn't interested in your intentions.. either you are 100% on the 2nd amendment a human right, or you are not.. and Trump is now commander in chief of the Nanny State.

But at least we didn't get Hillary right?

Drumpt is too inexperienced with firearms to even have an opinion on this shit. If anyone uses or believes in the left right paradigm, they also should have no input. Pretty sure it says, "shall not be infringed". Is that easy enough to understand?

It's always gradual,,, always. JHFC...

The 2nd amendment was G O N E when the first gun law was passed and found constitutional by the Black Robed assholes called the Supreme Court. For that matter the entirety of the 10 amendments are deceased with the exception of the third.

Oh,,, by the way,,, the NRA was all for it back then. Called it common sense gun control.

Keep bullshitting yourselves.

Everything is AWESOME.

the real problem with a bump stock ban will be the wording which will be something like "anything that allows a semi auto to fire at full auto rates" meaning if they see you / us / me shooting at the range and say man that dude has a fast trigger finger he can fire that black rifle just like a full auto therefore he shall be banned from owning one unless he submits to having his trigger finger(s) sawed off

In the last 10 years, 288 have died in school shootings.

In the same time frame, over 57,000 school age children (0-24 yrs, as college is included) have committed suicide.

Jack Spirko covered this in a podcast, with some excellent thoughts on it. (link below) topic starts @ 47 min 47 sec.

I'll be sending my congress-critters the word to keep their fucking hands off my gun laws, until they address the 57,000+ suicides in the same period.

if one follows the steps of the ladder to the top, they will get to dis-functional families, with a rash of reasons, with a most common denominator being drugs, fuking drugs legal and "illegal".

and since no law can address these issues, there will another mass shooting.

eventually the gun must be outlawed because, well you know, it is the guns existence that maters.

those scary fuking things, they will just get up and kill something by a zombie on drugs. yup.

never mind all the rationality behind owning a gun, it just doesn't mater to these emo fuktards.

Why do you think they're giving all these young kids all these psychotropic drugs?

Is it so they can write a regulation stating that if they're ever been given any of these drugs at any point in their lives they can be denied the right to purchase a gun.

They're already doing that to returning veterans. What a lot of people may not know is that enlisted personnel are ordered to take SSRI's while serving in combat zones.

This may also be contributing to the suicide rate of veterans returning from active duty in the Middle East.

Why ANY discussion on this for that matter Mr. Trump? Q~uestion of the day?

Why does Old Navy think Mr. President is putting some distance on this now?

The FBI are known to murder USA citizens in cold blood, as well as bomb them, as well as drop towers on them as well as an extreme host and number of false flags:

Vegas anyone? Boston anyone? Orlando anyone? OKC anyone? Ruby Ridge anyone? Waco anyone? WTC 1 93 anyone? WTC COMPLEX 9/11 anyone? Especially building 7 CIA's largest field office outside of Langley anyone? And let's not forget Sandy Hoax anyone? So many others... my fingers are getting tired of posting them... anyone?

LaVoy Finicum’s Family: New Video Release Shows Police/FBI Shooting Was “Murder”

So a (half) Jewish kid, abandoned by his own mother, currently without a family and unwanted by the local Jewish community, is chosen by the FBI to be the ‘perfect patsy’ upon investigating 39 complaints about him and after plying him with psychotropic drugs... anyone?

39 complaints and not a thing to come of it? The FBI knew? This Cruz whose now changed his plea to no plea and he now knows he was set up, but the powers that be are still going o murder him too? 39 times with FBI fully aware and involved... this is called GROOMING... anyone?

The security agent (school resource officer, SRO) Scott Petersen waited at least 4 minutes and never went in, despite taking a position on the west side of Building 12. Other officers acted similarly as if fearing professional shooters. Thus no SRO officer showed up, and the first responders were slow to arrive, enabling the shooter(s) to flee the scene.

During the shooting, Cruz walks off campus with a former girl who is a friend. Both hear and discuss the ongoing shooting... still hearing shots fired but the primary target patsy suspect is quietly walking while shots are still being fired... anyone?

Let's not forget about all of the other kids and staff reporting multiple shooters AGAIN... anyone?

So what does a soaking wet 90 pound kid do after the mass shooting, Nikolas Jesus Cruz do?? He quietly walks out, rushes to a nearby Subway and then on to a McDonalds to enjoy a soft drink and burger... sure, why not? After a good old fashioned mass killing, gotta grab some eats... anyone?

Anyone see the look on his face when he was quietly arrested? He looked kind of surprised to me... anyone?

Cruz confesses, but he was in FBI custody (and threatened with the death penalty if he didn’t). Videos and eye witnesses to his actually doing the shooting appear to be unavailable... OOPS and now Cruz has changed his plea to NO PLEA? ANYONE?

Students At Florida School Shooting Report Crisis Drills and Multiple Shooters. YouTube, Google starts deleting video evidence, the scrub is still in full force. The actual Shooters identified by a teacher WHO are in full body armor/helmet/face mask with strange rifles appears... ANYONE?

So this 90 pound soaking wet kid, jumps out of an Uber, with a minimal backpack that simply cannot fit all of the gear reported, (that FOUR LEO's were spotted carting out and dropping into the back of a pickup and leaving only minutes after the shooting stopped???????) ... so this 90 pound kid, suits up and assembles a rifle within 2 minutes, is now packing full body armor, carrying a dozen or so fully filled mags, wearing his gas-mask and military heavy helmet begins to mass murder. How could anybody do this in two minutes of leaving an Uber with only carrying a small backpack that could not physically hold the contents of the witnessed reports gear???? PUCKING ANYONE?

I'd say these un-wiped asses in the Florida Government have a real honest to goodness hellifying problem on their hands with A: the FBI involved clearly. B: the SECRET SERVICE INVOLVED CLEARLY. And C: Hillary CUNTING CLINTON buddy Sheriff ISRAEL who was materially in on the op form the word go... ANYONE?

Perhaps the FBI (or associates) did all the killing at this Florida high school. The FBI and Sheriffs Department are, at a minimum, accessories to the murders of the 17 students/teachers killed.

hmmm... No coroner trucks, no dead bodies seen, no hazmat cleaning….nothing.

FOX NEWS reported that the EMT's who responded were reporting they were NOT being allowed to treat ANYONE and forcibly kept out of the building while supposedly people are still dying and barely alive????? ANYONE?

Ah. Another piece of the puzzle. But it’s still not enough. NO VIDEO's AGAIN of ANYONE DYING OR FROM THE SCHOOL???? For real?

As the Sun-Sentinel said, getting the video may indeed expose wrongdoing on the part of the Sheriff’s Department — but it could also show what may have went wrong on the part of the school. Did teachers and staff react properly? If not, why not? As for (Deputy Peterson), he says the video will exonerate him, so there’s that.

The video will also highlight what went right, the editors note, making for teachable moments.

For now, though, Israel has decided that no one needs to see what really happened that day. And frankly, that’s unacceptable.

J.D. Heyes is editor of The National Sentinel and a senior writer for Natural News and News Target. ~ end exerpt

Smith-Mundt Modernization Act…. Anyone?

Finally... is there ANYONE who believes all of this cocken-bullshit narrative coming from the Florida Sheriff, the FBI, the Governor of Florida or ANYONE in Government who has full knowledge of this GUN-GRAB???

Anyone... at all?

Not only Veterans, but Senior citizens on SS/MC,you know the groups doing all the mass shootings.(this truly showed Obama's TRUE COLORS) never was about safety, it was THEFT AND CONTROL.(the current Fix NICS has the same crap BACK in it.)

"However, Florida Gov. Rick Scott just signed a bill raising the age limit on rifle purchases to 21 in his state after it initially faced opposition from Republicans."

And the NRA has already filed a lawsuit over it, no way this ban on age stands.(UNLESS you move the Military service age to 21, then you MAYBE could get the courts to go along with no long guns until 21.)

I WENT TO my local "COSTCO  " the other day, AND in place of the security GUY who used to walk around in front of the store with a jacket that said "SECURITY"!! They NOW have a guy in military type KACKIS, a 45, HAND cuffs, and a mean ASS look on his face, topped off with a Texas ranger type hat! This intimidating gentleman may be setting COSTCO back 25 to 30 DOLLARS AN HOUR? A small price to pay to protect our children!!

Martial Law was not even declared!,and this crap happened?. Ultimately months later most got their weapons back, except they were destroyed by salt water, left in trailers (guns worth thousands and thousands  of dollars thrown into a pile with junk guns), collectables, etc, etc, didn't matter some underwater.

(NO RESTITUTION was ever made, none),PC lost his job, Mayor lost his (not over this)believe he served time later for some crime.

Millions of dollars worth of weapons.GONE,illegally.

One humorous thing that DID happen to the NJ Highway patrol, as they were returning by caravan back to Funkville NJ, were pulled over (I THINK it was in Tennessee?), by the HiPo there, and issued citations for doing 85-95 mph on the interstate,in 70mph zones, THE NJ Cops were besides themselves!!!, they could NOT believe the audacity of THEM being held accountable.(they raised all kinds of hell),it didn't matter they were still cited and told to SLOW down or be arrested if they were caught again.

Amazingly enough, an FFL holder is the only one in the chain that doesn't have to honor your rights. They can deny a sale on any gut feeling.

I was denied by WalMart on a purchase (who tried to pass it off as a NCIC denial) simply because somebody with the same last name (a common name) made them feel "suspicious" in the past.

I called them out on it when I went to get the transaction number, and basically, forced the truth out of them.
