Senate: Two-Tiered Justice System In FBI Clinton/Trump Investigations

Authored by Sara Carter via SaraCarter.com,

  • Had Horowitz not discovered the anti-Trump texts between Strzok and Page, they would still be investigating the Trump campaign

  • IG confirms his office is handling investigation into Comey’s leaking of personal memos to his friend and the New York Times

  • There was a clear breakdown in the FBI culture, with senior agents being wined and dined by reporters

Chairman Charles Grassley of the powerful Senate Judiciary Committee outlined the stark double standard at Monday’s much-anticipated hearing with the FBI’s handling of its investigations into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private server for government business and the bureau’s highly partisan investigation into alleged collusion between Russia and President Donald Trump’s campaign.

Grassley, R-Iowa, stated “justice should be blind” but contended that it was not in the case of FBI’s handling of the Clinton and Trump investigations. He noted that based on the evidence collected in the more than 500-page report released by Inspector General Michael Horowitz last week, along with information and evidence collected by numerous Congressional committees, evidence of bias against Trump was insurmountable.

Grassley stressed, “most of the time, evidence of political bias is not so explicit. The details in this report confirm what the American people have suspected all along. Hillary Clinton got the kid-glove treatment.”

“The contrast to the Russia probe is stark,” Grassley stated. “The biggest difference, of course, is the appointment of a Special Counsel. Attorney General (Loretta) Lynch refused to appoint one. The appearance of political influence was inevitable.”

Horowitz and FBI Director Christopher Wray were grilled by lawmakers during the hours-long hearing, which consisted of questioning regarding the use of FBI informants in investigations, the handling of the Clinton investigation and the extraordinary bias in the FBI by senior special agents in the field. Sen. Orin Hatch, R-Utah, said he was “disappointed” in Wray’s response last week, to Horowitz’s report telling Wray there was a “serious problem” within senior bureau leadership and that these cases appear not to be an aberration but a deep cultural breakdown within the FBI.

At the hearing Grassley laid out the extraordinary differences in the investigations and questioned Horowitz, asking him if “granting immunity is the only way to gain truthful testimony from witnesses,” referencing the highly unusual decision by the FBI to grant immunity to Clinton and her aides before they were interviewed. Both Wray and Horowitz noted that it was not the only way to extract information from witnesses but did not expand on why it was handled in such a manner. Horowitz also revealed that his office is handling an investigation into Comey’s leaking of personal memos to his friend and the New York Times, which initiated the opening of a Special Counsel to investigate Trump.

Horowitz sent a strong message to the FBI during his opening statement telling lawmakers, “as detailed in our report, we found that the inappropriate political messages cast a cloud over the Midyear investigation sowed doubt about the credibility of the FBI’s handling of it, and impacted the reputation of the FBI. Moreover, we found the implication that senior FBI employees would be willing to take official action to impact a presidential candidate’s electoral prospects to be deeply troubling and antithetical to the core values of the FBI and the Department of Justice.

Grassley noted that had Horowitz not discovered the onslaught of anti-Trump texts between embattled FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok, who worked the Clinton investigation and headed the Russia investigation, and his paramour former FBI Attorney Lisa Page, “they would still be there today.”

If the evidence had not been discovered, the pair would “still be investigating the Trump campaign,” Grassley said. “They would still be texting about how they despised President Trump and everyone who voted for him. They would still be plotting about how to use their official positions to, “stop him.”

“We just wouldn’t know about it. Remember these facts every time you hear the press or my friends on the other side of the aisle claim that this report found “no bias.” You may hear that talking point a lot today, but don’t be fooled,” Grassley added.

“(Special Counsel) Robert Mueller removed these people from his team. Why? Obviously, because this kind of political bias has no place in law enforcement. When it was exposed so clearly, Mr. Mueller had no other choice.”

Under questioning, Horowitz admitted that the discovery of Strzok and Page texts were disturbing.

“That should not be downplayed by anybody,” Horowitz said. “I cannot think of anything more concerning than law enforcement officer suggesting that they may use their powers to effect a presidential election.”

Grassley Notes Stark Differences in Trump Clinton Investigation:

  • Under Lynch, Comey drafted a public exoneration of Clinton before 17 key witnesses were interviewed.

  • Under Rosenstein, no one seriously thinks Robert Mueller would plan a press conference to exonerate Trump before his investigators’ work is done.

  • Under Lynch, a low-level IT worker lied to the FBI twice about destroying records under subpoena and got immunity.

  • Under Rosenstein, a low-level Trump campaign associate provided the wrong date for a conversation with a professor and got charged with lying to the FBI.

  • Under Lynch, Clinton’s lawyers and aides who improperly held classified information got carefully crafted agreements to limit searches of their computers by consent.

  • Under Rosenstein, Trump’s lawyers and former aides got raided and hauled before grand juries.

Grassley also stressed the breakdown in the culture at the FBI and Horowitz’s discovery that numerous senior FBI agents were being wined and dined by reporters against FBI protocol.

“The FBI has managed to promote a culture that winks at unauthorized disclosures to the press but punishes legally-protected whistleblowing. It stiff-arms Congressional oversight to hide embarrassing facts, while it leaks self-serving tidbits to friendly reporters bearing gifts. Director Wray has quite a mess to clean up,” Grassley stated.

IG Diagram of FBI contacts with reporters

Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, chided the FBI’s leadership team under Comey and questioned Horowitz about the IG report’s finding regarding the lack of documentary evidence of bias in the FBI.  Cornyn said it was a “fair inference to draw that Comey was worried about his future during the Clinton investigation” and changed ‘grossly negligent” to “extremely careless” and asked Horowitz if he was also surprised that Comey was using a private Gmail account at the same time he was investigating Clinton for using a private email server.

Horowitz said he was surprised Comey was using a private account and that he couldn’t judge whether or not Comey made his decision based on his belief that Clinton was going to become president.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina, also demanded Horowitz open an investigation to find out whether former FBI Director Andrew McCabe attended a meeting with Strzok and Page, which they discussed in a text an “insurance policy” against Trump if he were to become president.

“I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office – that there’s no way he gets elected – but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk,” Strzok texted on Aug. 15, 2016. “It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40.”

Horowitz said he believes “Andy” is in reference to McCabe. Horowitz noted that Strzok said McCabe was at a meeting with him but McCabe said he could not recall the meeting.

Graham, in apparent frustration, asked Wray, “have you ever prosecuted a case based on circumstantial evidence, Mr. Wray?”

Director Wray, said, “yes, I have.”

“If you’re on our side of the aisle this really hits you hard,” Graham added.

“I’m not buying that the Clinton email investigation is on the up and up.”

Wray noted that the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility, responsible for investigating agents, is in the process of investigating agents and once it is complete “will hold every person accountable,” Wray said.

Grassley pointed out that Lynch, Former FBI Director James Comey, and former Deputy Director Andrew McCabe declined to testify.

According to Grassley,

“McCabe’s lawyer wrote that his client would rely on his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination to avoid answering any questions here today.”

“Mr. Comey’s attorney tells us he is out of the country, although I saw he was in Iowa over the weekend,” Grassley stated in his opening statement.

“According to his twitter feed, he seems to be having a wonderful time. This is the second time since he was fired that Mr. Comey refused an invitation to testify here voluntarily. He has time for book tours and television interviews, but apparently no time to assist this Committee, which has primary jurisdiction over the Justice Department.”

This is the first time I've heard anyone assert that Hillary Clinton was granted immunity.  I believe that statement is not correct.

The Criminal FBI is the epitome of what is defined as a Crime Syndicate.

The National Security Elimination Act of 2018

The United States survived quite nicely for 130+ years with neither a Criminal FBI, CIA, IRS nor the Federal Reserve. Let's return to those better days ASAP.

Would precisely achieve that objective & more by recentrailizing the “Intelligence” Agencies. By Elimination of rouge Criminal Agencies such as the Pure Evil War Criminal Treasonous Seditious Psychopaths at & in the CIA.

So what Criminals at large Obama, Clapper & Lynch have done 17 days prior to former CEO Criminal Obama leaving office was to Decentralize & weaken the NSA. As a result, Raw Intel gathering was then regulated to the other 16 Intel Agencies.

Thus, taking Centuries Old Intelligence based on a vey stringent Centralized British Model, De Centralized it, filling the remaining 16 Intel Agenices with potential Spies and a Shadow Deep State Mirror Government.

And, If Obama, Lynch & Clapper all agreed 17 days out to change the surveillance structure of the NSA. What date exectly did the changes occur in relation to the first FISA request for the Trump Wire Taps? (We now know that the Criminal FISA requests occurred in October 2016.)

Elimination of the Pure Evil War Criminal Treasonous Seditious Psychopaths in the Deep State & CIA.

As easily as The National Security Act was signed in 1947 it can & must be Eliminated.

The Preponderance of Evidence suggests that she broke these Laws, Knowingly, Willfully and Repeatedly. This pattern indicates a habitual/career Criminal, who belongs in Federal Prison.

If Pure Evil War Criminal Treasonous Seditious Psychopath Hillary Clinton would have been elected.  Many if not all of the High Crimes, Crimes & sexual perversion’s we see coming to Light never would have been known off.

The Tyrannical Lawlessness we see before our eyes never would have seen the light of day.

The government has a malignancy, and unless it is surgically removed, the rule of law ceases to exist in the eyes of the people. Besides, trump appeared quite ready to let bygones be bygones with the Clintons after the election (fuck knows why). But the bitch just carried on.

The crimes committed even Hannity and company won't touch on (yet), because the legal implications for the very highest echelons of the Criminal FBI, DOJ, CIA, NSA, GCHQ and at the same time public's conscious, are unimaginable in a historical context?

18 U.S. Code Chapter 115 - TREASON, SEDITION, AND SUBVERSIVE ACTIVITIES

Section 2381: Treason

Section 2382: Misprision of treason

Section 2383: Rebellion or insurrection

Section 2384: Seditious conspiracy

Section 2385: Advocating overthrow of Government

It’s absolute, complete, open in your Face Tyrannical Lawlessness.

We’re at and in that Historic moment in time.

I used to go round and round with the Clinton faithful about the skank's criminality with this. Even then their feeble minds would not let them process this data. If this does not piss u off about the hypocrisy nothing will. I rarely comment on the political stuff on hedge. I agree with everyone except the most blatant of trolls.

here is the intro. Not gonna take up space cause you folks likely already no this stuff.

The Takeaways

The FBI could not review all of the Hillary Clinton emails under investigation because:

  • The Clintons’ Apple personal server used for Hillary Clinton work email could not be located for the FBI to examine.
  • An Apple MacBook laptop and thumb drive that contained Hillary Clinton email archives were lost, and the FBI couldn’t examine them.
  • 2 BlackBerry devices provided to FBI didn’t have their SIM or SD data cards.
  • 13 Hillary Clinton personal mobile devices were lost, discarded or destroyed. Therefore, the FBI couldn’t examine them.
  • Various server backups were deleted over time, so the FBI couldn’t examine them.
  • After State Dept. notified Hillary Clinton her records would be sought by House Benghazi Committee, copies of her email on the laptops of her attorneys Cheryl Mills and Heather Samuelson were wiped with BleachBit, and the FBI couldn’t review them.
  • After her emails were subpoenaed, Hillary Clinton’s email archive was also permanently deleted from her then-server “PRN” with BleachBit, and the FBI couldn’t review it.
  • Also after the subpoena, backups of the PRN server were manually deleted.

@ looks,

The NSA have archives of everything.

There’s a Digital Fingerprint of every email, text, phone call conducted by Pure Evil War Criminal Treasonous Seditious Psychopath Hillary Clinton, the DNC, her Operatives & Agents in the Highly Compartmentalized Criminal Levels in CIA, FBI & DOJ.

The False argument of evidence destruction is moot considering everything on everyone is archived by the NSA in Utah.

Everything.

Clinton DID destroy evidence related to the codes cited in a post above mine. It is not the fact that the NSA has everything that is at question. It is the hypocrisy. And the fact THAT CLINTON DID DESTROY EVIDENCE relative to a federal investigation.

But yeah I get how one might feel about the NSA having all data at all times. I do not care. They have the data and they always will. That is a reality not liked by me but acknowledged by me as a fact of life.

What I care about is that NO PERSON will use that NSA data and Clinton's email to hang the skank on a zip line by her kooch and run her downhill on a twenty mile zip line with no shock absorber.

I gave up thinking about honesty and ethics for the USA after O Bama bailed out AIG.

Cheers chup

Sen. Orin Hatch, R-Utah, said he was “disappointed” in Wray’s response last week

...and this is what Hatch's seniority gets us?  If his seniority on the judiciary committee is such a great boon to the United States of America, then why the hell is Hillary still going free?  This guy became a government no-op about 20 years ago and should have been bounced out on his ass.  I did my part by voting against him, but most people are apparently hoodwinked by his campaign literature that speaks of the importance of his "seniority" on the judiciary committee.  What a joke!

Not the only place there is a two-tiered standard in America; how about the lack of concern by liberals when citizens of the USA have their screaming children ripped out of their arms?

Take the lack of anger on the left about how the Department of Children’s Services forcibly takes children away from their American citizen parents every single day of the year.

This is not usually done due to criminal violations, not even for misdemeanors, like crossing the border illegally.

This separation of children from parents—not for a few hours, but for months and years—is often done because, when DCS employees visited the children’s home after a complaint, they found signs of chronic poverty. That is something that these illegal alien parents likewise live in.

DCS employees even take children away from their parents when the home is in a state of too much neglect or disrepair, like say too many roaches, rats or other signs of uncleanliness.

Children scream when DCS employees take them away from their US-citizen parents, causing a large turnover rate in DCS staff, even though that rough job pays a little more than the office jobs at the Department of Human Services because of this difficulty.

Where are all the weepy liberals when this happens, day after day in the homes of US citizens? Do they put this beloved government agency—DCS—ahead of separating American parents from their children?!!!!?

The Department of Children’s Services knows WAY more about the parents of the children that it takes away than DHS knows about these illegal alien parents, yet the left assumes that every one of these illegal border crossers are wonderful parents who provide a loving & above-critique environment for their children.

Not.......

Then there is the two-tiered attitude toward all-day separations of parents and the children they leave in daycare centers all over American. These daycare centers often have chain link fences to make sure that children do not run out into the steeet, where there is danger.

Some insurance companies require fencing around daycare centers. Insurance rates for daycare centers are enormous since parents win massive settlements when anything happens to a child.

It is one of the many societal expenses of supporting feminist moms to work low-wage, part-time absenteeism-gang jobs, rather than raising their own children.

They are separating some of these illegal alien parents from their children for 24 hours, but American parents regularly leave children in daycare centers for 8 hours per day, day after day after day after day, all year long.

Daycare centers are bright & cheerio at pick-up time, when the owners even run relay races with the kids, making a big production out of ooohing & ahhhing over the kids’ artwork, etc.....to impress their customers, the kids’ parents.

It’s not so cozy during the day when the parents are not around. It is not absusive, but it is often not all that warm.

Example: Kids sleep on the hard floor on one-inch mats. Some daycare centers require the toddlers to stack the mats up after nap time—military-style. Some preschool teachers call the funniest little resisters problem children for perfectly normal behavior, like crying for their parents when they do not want to stack the mats with military precision after a nap.

At naptime, many of the children are not really asleep. They wiggle around on their mats on the floor. That does not prevent many preschool teachers from gossiping about their parents within hearing range of the children, even though they can see that the children are still awake.

Did you see what X kid’s mom had on this morning, said one daycare worker. Why does she dress that kid like that? Does she care anything about that kid? And la, la, la....

Have any of those grandstanding virtue signalers in the MSM ever worked at a daycare center? I bet they leave their kids at the posher daycare centers, experiencing the customer side of it. I betcha their kids even cry when they leave them there sometimes. That is what kids do when moms VOLUNTARILY leave them behind.

It is time for action.  Time for Congress to do more than move their lips.  The FBI headquarters in Washington D.C. is a threat to national security as much as any Russian interference, even worse from within.  Given its organization, isolate this headquarters then something similar to the Nuremberg trials sounds about right  It is the political officers that strayed and betrayed.  It can still do its mission, possibly better:

"The FBI has 56 field offices (also called divisions) centrally located in major metropolitan areas across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. They are the places where we carry out investigations, assess local and regional crime threats, and work closely with partners on cases and operations. Each field office is overseen by a special agent in charge, except our offices in Los Angeles, New York City, and Washington, D.C., which are headed by an assistant director in charge due to their large size. Within these field offices are a total of about 380 resident agencies located in smaller cities and towns. Resident agencies are managed by supervisory special agents." https://www.fbi.gov/contact-us/field-offices/

And how has Lynch/Biden/Obama stayed above this fray.  Course if they can't get to Hillary given the server, DNC $ manipulation, play to play SoS activity, security violations, etc. they will never get to Lynch/Biden/Obama.   Biden was either useless or involved, likely both.

I see no problem with shutting down the FBI and 15 of the other 16 security agencies in the US. Or are there 17? So confusing I keep losing track!

The FBI makes the Stasi look lazy. 56 field offices and 380 resident agencies? So at least one field office and 7 to 8 resident offices in each state? What's next? Bend over and let me examine your anus FBI offices right down the street?

It is illegal to overthrow the legally elected government of the United States. Such constitutes a crime against the Constitution of the United States of America. The FBI and the CIA have become domestic enemies of the United States of America and should be dealt with accordingly.

By the way, the FBI was the model copied by Nazi Germany for their Gestapo (Geheime Staatspolizei).

Corruption 101 boys and Girls!!

Why were Comey, McCabe and Strzok all unwilling to go after Hillary?

Because they thought she would become President, and then come at them "loaded for bear/"

BUT, if they recommended an indictment, she would NEVER get elected, so why were they afraid of her?

BECAUSE LORETTA LYNCH DID NOT RECUSE HERSELF, AND WOULD QUASH THEIR RECOMMENDATION TO INDICT. IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN, AND IT WOULD NEVER BE MADE PUBLIC.

She was given cover by Obama, who said Hillary should be exonerated because she had no intent. So

THE FIX WAS IN.

Aint it weird no one has put this theory forward except some loon on ZH??? (ME)

Because it is OBVIOUSLY TRUE.

There is no possible explanation for why Lynch didnt recuse after the Bill Clinton meeting on the tarmac -- where this whole strategy was no doubt hatched between a couple of slimy, greasy, corrupt lawyers.

And there you have it.

methinks i like this Grassley fellow...and if they '"don't want to testify"...subpoena them and MAKE them plead the Fifth...and get Hillary on the stand, too...

we ARE investigating the investigation into her CRIMES, right?!

now wouldn't that be a great AD campaign...just run the loop of all the dems pleading the Fifth...maybe then we can get some other 'party' elected to the Senate or House...

oh...and I know we need more popcorn...and we more than likely need some more rope....
