Unprecedented Israeli Strikes Target Iraqi Shia Militias In Syria

A day after a mysterious airstrike close to the Iraq-Syria border reportedly killed over 30 Syrian government soldiers and Iraqi paramilitary forces backed by Iran, a US official has told CNN the attack was carried out by Israel and not by the US coalition.

Syrian state media blamed the strike on the US-led coalition — though in the immediate aftermath any level of confirmation or evidence was hard to come by. The claims prompted the US coalition spokesman to issue a formal denial, calling Syria's accusation "misinformation" as US-backed SDF forces are only operating east of the Euphrates, and not near Abu Kamal, which lies west, according to the statement

If confirmed it would mark the first time in the war that Iraq's paramilitary forces have been targeted by Israel. The Iran-backed Popular Mobilization Units (PMU, or PMF) have increasingly coordinated with the Syrian Army as well as pro-Syrian irregular Shia fighters during anti-ISIS operations along Syria's eastern border of late.

The incident marks the second time in three weeks that the Syrian Army has accused the US Coalition of bombing their troops in southeast Syria; however it is uncertain as yet how Damascus will respond to this new claim of Israeli responsibility.

The CNN source is an unnamed US official, who gave no other details on the strike, including how many jets conducted the mission or the flight path into the Iraq-Syria border area, though CNN notes, "The area is some distance from Israel and Israeli jets would have had to overcome significant logistical hurdles to strike that area."

And as Al Masdar News points out, Israel "has never attacked the Syrian military this far from their border, so if they were behind this – this would be the first time they have every bombed the Deir Ezzor Governorate."

The last confirmed Israeli strike in Deir Ezzor was in 2007, when Israel destroyed an alleged nuclear reactor in al-Kibar. Up until now in the war confirmed there have been acknowledged Israeli attacks in western Syria, around Damascus, and in the Homs desert (T-4 airbase).

Syrian military sources initially told Reuters that the strikes were conducted by attack drones flying from the direction of U.S. lines. Syrian forces did not respond to the attacks which left dozens of Syrian Army, allied National Defense Forces (NDF), and Iraqi paramilitary troops killed and wounded in the town of Al-Harri, in the Abu Kamal countryside.

Though casualty numbers have varied slightly — with opposition media site SOHR citing 38 and pro-government sources citing well over 40 — it marks a significant escalation given the high death toll against units which were in the midst of battling remnant ISIS pockets in Syria's east.

The attack came the same day that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a cabinet meeting, "We will take action - and are already taking action - against efforts to establish a militarily presence by Iran and its proxies in Syria both close to the border and deep inside Syria. We will act against these efforts anywhere in Syria."

Netanyahu's words follow similar statements made last week wherein he accused Iran of importing 80,000 Shia fighters into the Syrian conflict from places like Pakistan and Afghanistan in order to both "covert" Syrian Sunnis and prepare attacks against Israel, claiming that a broader "religious war" would emerge.

“That is a recipe for a re-inflammation of another civil war - I should say a theological war, a religious war - and the sparks of that could be millions more that go into Europe and so on ... And that would cause endless upheaval and terrorism in many, many countries,” Netanyahu said before an international security forum in Jerusalem last Thursday.

“Obviously we are not going to let them do it. We’ll fight them. By preventing that - and we have bombed the bases of this, these Shi’ite militias - by preventing that, we are also offering, helping the security of your countries, the security of the world,” he said.

Currently, new reports of a "massive build-up" of Syrian Army troops and their allies in Syria's south continue to emerge after Assad recently reaffirmed his desire to liberate "every inch" of sovereign Syrian territory. As the army conducts operations increasingly close to the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, the likelihood of more direct Syria-Israel clashes to come is high.

Well, good morning Adolph.

I've noticed you obsess and speculate over what others might be doing or saying like a gossipy little school girl fussing over her hair or...like a certain jewess princess "clinical psychologist" NeverTrumper from NYC...lol...either way, is there anything else you would care to divulge about yourself? ;-)

The Syrians are about to start clearing house near the occupied Golan Heights. They are going to kick out Israel's ground keepers currently looking after territory Israel covets for its resources and energy sources. This IDF attack is another distraction to try to make the Syrians split their forces between east and west Syria. It ain't gonna happen. South west Syria is going to be cleared.

You really sittin around thinkin Syria will win this time when they've failed twice before?

Well maybe, maybe not, either way I don't really have a dog in this fight (besides punching that fussy school girl Adolph up top in the nose...lol) but maybe the third time will be the charm for them, who knows or cares.

Personally I don't.

With Israel on the chopping block.... as it is so full of psychopaths anyway, like DC or London etc.... when TSHTF, you don't want to be anywhere near these negative attractive areas.... like attracts like... charge wise... comets, EM discharges etc.

Most Israelis simply don't see it coming... they've been led astray like most Americans, or people of the empire for so long... same in any empire in history..... time to depart.... leave the puppet show before the 'curtain' comes down...

"Where    a r e   those s-300/400s?"

As said upwards, those jets were probably self-identifying as US fighter jets.

Which, if that's the case, should tell Americans something about who their real enemy is. US has invaded Syria, it's occupying the oil rich areas, and while the Syrian Army is being bombed the Syrians are unwilling to fire back at the US.

But, this is too much to grasp for the nigger-level-IQ muh-israel American boomer bonehead.

Anyway, Americans should be very pissed with israel, because this practice may have dreadful consequences. If Syrians aren't able to tell between American or israeli fighter jets, someday they may make a mistake and an unfortunate American pilot will be able to answer your question "Where    a r e   those s-300/400s?".

Of course, we all will know the real reason, it won't be because of joomanji or something, it will be because those muzzies hate us because of our freedums!

The s300's and 400's are all in the west.  The yids must have flown over Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Iraq to get there and make it look like a "coalition" attack.

Iraq must have been unaware that these were Israeli as they flew threw Iraqi airspace.  Twice.

Now Syria has to deploy her radars, Pantsir's and S300's in the east as well, thinning out the front line and drawing reinforcements away from the assault on IDF proxies in Golan.

Israel is acting directly in support of ISIS.  With Trump and Mattis’ approval.  The media as always will frame it as ‘defense’ against eeevil ISIS and Al Qaeda-fighting Iran, but it’s more Zionist aggression.

This is the very begining of WW3.

Iraq will hit back in time.

Let us await the hasbarats - just now sitting down at their stations outside Tel Aviv.

No.  Putin will never act against Israel.  He imagines he’ll keep a naval base in a rump Syrian state, but he’ll be betrayed.

Which Russia will remember.

”millions more that go into Europe and so on ... And that would cause endless upheaval and terrorism in many, many countries”

This is a threat by Netanyahu against Europe, as he acts to support his terror proxies.

Israel has awoken something that will unify  Sunni and Shia Muslims, and he is counting on American goyim to die at Trump’s orders to protect Israel from what’s coming.

I’m sure this comment will be quite controversial here, but the reality is that in lands targeted by the Zionists, Muslims and Christians are in a close alliance.

Historically, they have always seen each other as people of God. In many towns, Muslims and Christians would pray together in mosques and churches for festivals and special occasions—this custom continues today in Syria. If you look at an Arabic translation of the Bible, they use the world Allah for God. Muslims believe in the same God, accept the New Testament, and actually say that Christians will be saved as well on the final day.

In Syria and much of the Middle East, among the people the Zionists are seen as a satanic faction bringing about Revelation. Islam teaches that while Christians are also people of God, in the end times, there will be an alliance between Christians and Jews that will work on behalf of the antichrist (who they call Dajjal) to control the whole world and oppress Islam. Consequently, people in the region have been much more resistant to Zionism than in the West, and these issues are openly discussed. I have seen a report saying the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion is in 97% of homes in the region.

Syria is primarily Sunni, and these people widely support Assad. The forces active in Dier ez-Zor are primarily NDF and tribal factions, and there is a large brigade in the area that is composed of both Christians and Muslims, especially Sunnis, and works closely with Russian forces.

So to answer your question, Sunni and Shia fighters work side by side in Syria. They are united against what both Muslims and Christians in the region see as Satanic forces seeking to oppress them, take their lands (Greater Israel), and bring the antichrist into the open. They have been united in such a way since the early days of Zionism, even before the fall of the Ottoman Empire. This is why they gravitate towards each other everywhere in the region, why they are so closely united, why their alliance is pretty much impossible to shatter, and why Israel sees this as such a threat.

Historically it is easy to recruit armies for rape and profit. No need for nationalism, tribalism, race, or religion. See history-of-pirates. Pirates are wiped out when the (nominally) civilized quit supporting them with food, weapons, and a place to spend their plunder. Iran, Syria, Pakistan, and so forth come to mine. US, China, Russia, and others support pirates also but they do so to further grand-strategy or fight-evil. (sarcasm)

Israel see them as a threat because they have sworn to their god that they will kill every jew on the earth. Sounds threatening to me.

"Israel has awoken something that will unify Sunni and Shia Muslims"

Are you certain?  Israel is offering the Sunni's part of the Shia loot after the victory.  This tactic always worked for them in the past.

Plus there are the Kurds.  The polaks of the middle east, always the dupes for other countries bigger ambitions.  Has the US offloaded the nukes from Incirlik into their new Kurdish state in NE Syria?  How big is the US presence there?

There is lots of instability in SA right now, has MBS even finally been sighted?  Qatar was threatened by war if she accepts S300's.  Plus Yemen.

Iraq could also easily erupt into civil war.

I rate the chance of Sunni and Shia joining against Israel as pretty low.

Russia does what is in Russian best interest.

Iran and Turkey are irritating Russia. Syria isn't the best client state either.

Israel is increasing Russia sales of arms. Especially anti-aircraft and anti-missile sales.

So who is Russia's friend and who is Russia's enemy? Would Russia be better off if Israel was gone? If Iran achieved its stated goals? If Turkey conquered Greece or carved out a province in Syria?

"Iraq will hit back in time"

You mean Iran. This article took pains to downplay Iran. So much so that it stood out. Amazingly high casualties (if true) and indicates a military base/camp of large size which had no idea it was targeted. Might have been a spoiling attack of a staging area. ISIS are indigenous Iraq militias whether supported by John McCain or not. Hints by omissions that Syria didn't mind these forces being destroyed.

Remember Five points:

1. Isreal will fight to the very last American Soldiers Death.

2. The Zionist screams in Pain as he Stikes you.

3.The Yinon Plan.

4.Operation TALPIOT.

5. Qatari Pipeline Petro Dollar Vs. Russia / China Petro Yaun.

One bright aspect is the Anti-Isreal / Jew Zionist movement is gaining steam.  More & more Individuals are speaking openly against Israel’s War Crimes, False Flag involvements, The Yinon Plan along with Pro Zionist immigrantion policy of migrating Muslim’s &  Arabs to the EU & US without fear of retribution.  Pro migration policy which supports territory boarder expansion via the Yinon Plan & ethnic cleansing & migration of Arabs & Muslim’s.

Not to mention the Billions in US foreign aid, AIPAC, ZioNeoConFascist NGO’s & dual Israeli Citizen’s which hold Political Office in CONgress.  Which must be outlawed.

That said. the Pure Evil Santanic Lucerferian’s are already attempting & countering by passing “Laws” in the US & Zionist Israel persecuting those who speak of their Crimes or are Anti Isreal.

This position has been brought under the spotlight by the news that the municipality of Dickinson, in Texas, demanded that people agree to not boycott Israel as a pre-condition to qualify for relief funds after hurricane Harvey. This is not an independent action taken by Dickinson, however, but merely an initiative to comply with a Texas state law, which came into effect on Sept. 1, and requires companies and individuals taking on state contracts and disposing of public funds to sign an affidavit in which they declare not to participate in boycott campaigns against Israel.

And, just posted here a few weeks ago yesterday on ZH.
