Student Group Tells 'White Folks' To "Stop Calling The Cops"

Authored by Zachary Petrizzo via Campus Reform,

Marquette University student group is imploring “white folks” to “STOP CALLING THE COPS,” suggesting instead that students take matters into their own hands when they feel threatened.

In a post on its Facebook page addressed specifically to “white folks,” Marquette Empowerment offers “some handy steps to follow if you feel the urge” to call the police, attaching a poster listing five “alternatives to calling the police.”

The poster outlines the “steps to ask yourself before calling the police,” posing a series of questions to ask oneself before involving law enforcement in a given situation, starting with “Is this merely an inconvenience to me?”

If the answer is “no, I need to respond,” the flyer instructs individuals to consider whether they can “handle this on my own,” perhaps by trying “to talk-out [the matter] with the person.”

If talking things out isn’t a feasible option, the document says one should first consider whether there is a friend, neighbor, or someone else who could be called for help. In the event that professional assistance is required, it suggests pursuing “mediation to talk through what’s happening” or calling “an emergency response hotline.”

Only after all of those options have been exhausted, the guide says, should one contact the police - and even then it exhorts students to make sure they “understand how involving the police could impact me and the other person.”

The bottom of the poster contains a link to a resource guide put out by an organization called Showing Up For Racial Justice, DC.

Marquette Empowerment bills itself as the school’s “ONLY intersectional feminist organization for women, men, and nonbinary folks who strive to combat injustices concerning ALL PEOPLE,” explaining that it focuses on issues such as “misogyny, transphobia, heterosexism, slut-shaming, victim blaming, cissexism, classism, homophobia, xenophobia, Islamophobia, ableism, racism, and any other form of bigotry.”

The group has also expressed pro-abortion sympathies, such as in a January tweet declaring that “Abortion is healthcare.”

“Iit is normal and okay to have an abortion. You can talk about it publicly if you want to,” the post adds, saying, “We support you. We stand with you.”

Neither Marquette Empowerment nor university spokespersons immediately responded to Campus Reform’s requests for comment. This article will be updated if and when a response is received from either.

Better off just calling the police, calling code enforcement, break the Dindus balls till they move to a easier target. If it's a welfare house complain to social services that the property isn't being kept up, break the land Lords balls endlessly. Make the path you want easier than what you currently are getting from them.

I know this "guide" seems totally stupid, but if you listen in on 911 calls...

>Guy calls the police...because birds in his neighbors tree, that overhangs the fence, are shitting on his car.

>Woman calls the cops...because her husband says she stinks and he keeps spraying her with Febreeze.

Just two of my favorites!

Cheap, endless, entertainment: Broadcastify.com

Try Compton, Oakland, or Chicago..."Shots fired" report every 10 minutes...seemingly 24hrs a day.

Imagine you are the bank manager and five guys in ski masks with MAC-10s barge through the door. Would you call the cops right away or would you try to imagine their point of view, race, sexual orientation, or religious convictions?  Do you try to talk to them quietly and attempt to establish all the facts or do you act like a racist, xenophobic, homophobic pig and call the cops? Do the sensible thing.

I'm not understanding why these people aren't in an asylum somewhere?

This sounds specifically like "white people ought not call the popo when a black person is breaking into / stealing / defacing their property" cuz  reparations?

Otherwise I don't really know why the organization would promote a method for dealing with police action, where you really do need police, by advocating for not calling them.

It sounds like we're being told to put up and shut up? After all, it is clearly directed at white folks.

Fuck that...

Well, I am soooo triggered. Marquette Empowerment disenfranchises me for being a masculinist fighting misandry. So much for their claim to combating injustices against all people.

Also, I am not Islamophobic. I don't fear Islam, I hate it and what it represents. Oh, and if you have issues with my heterosexuality, go suck a dick. Ooo, was that a blow below the belt?/s

PS: "Victim-blaming" is quite appropriate if the victim was either a) deserving or b) a complete idiot doing things that exacerbated them becoming "victims" in the first place.

Lastly, no, really, you want me calling 911. The alternative involves my personal carry firearm if I'm feeling threatened. You truly don't want to go there.

Taught my wife and kids to not call the cops till the perps stoped twitching, thats if they make it through the geese and then dogs, 10 to 15 minutes. Then call me. Then we call the sherifs dept, we give them money every year for something. The benefits of charitable giving. Amazing respect and consideration in rural Georgia, the sherif is a very level headed guy and does not do swat raids unless double or triple verified. We are never in the news and have the lowest crime rate in the state.

You can choose where you live! There are northern states with similar numbers in regards to crime, to damned cold, I grew up in that. Also, every one down here has guns and dogs. No need to lock your doors, reminds me of being a kid, never knew what a key was in the rural northern states.

Step 1. Is the suspect named DeShawn, Tyreseus, Chewbaqqa, Mohammad, Kamalfakhr, etc.? First, ensure the suspect is not a Sufi, you idiot. Otherwise, proceed with caution. Call the police, or defend yourself.
Step 2. Is the suspect named Tucker, Preston, Tanner, etc.? Go on the offensive. Use any means necessary to prevent them from growing up to become another talentless predatory pseudointelligent businesstwat who shits on everyone. If they've already read The Fountainhead, you may be too late, and you should simply dispatch them. Calling the police is frequently the best option, but consider all your options.
Step 3. Does the suspect have the surname Cohen, Greene, Mandelbaum, etc.? Proceed with extreme caution. Consider just asking them how much they would profit from what they're trying to get away with, and then offer to pay them that amount plus the current average junk bond rate. Then stroke their horns to receive a free blowjob from an underage girl.

Actually, you know, it's going to take the cops a minimum of 15 minutes to get there.  So if you have a panic button you press it, but you have to keep the suckers talking for 15 minutes if you want to stay alive.  You may then still be held hostage while the police deal with them. All of this DOES require you to imagine their point of view, act sympathetically, and avoid antagonizing them until you are rescued. Belligerence will get you shot.  Being too passive may also get you shot.  You HAVE to put yourself in the gangsters' shoes and improvise a reaction that will trigger their best impulses over their fear and anger.  Empathy is your only weapon.

Another myth of black inventions.

The possibility of using blood plasma for transfusion purposes was known at least since 1918, when English physician Gordon R. Ward suggested it in a medical journal. In the mid-1930s, John Elliott advanced the idea, emphasizing plasma's advantages in shelf life and donor-recipient compatibility, and in 1939 he and two colleagues reported having used stored plasma in 191 transfusions. (See historical notes on plasma use.) Charles Drew was not responsible for any breakthrough scientific or medical discovery; his main career achievement lay in supervising or co-supervising major programs for the collection and shipment of blood and plasma.

Dr. Charles Drew was the inventor of the blood bank,,, not blood transfusions.

"who revolutionized blood banking when he discovered that blood could be refrigerated longer if the blood cells were centrifuged out of the plasma, and that plasma transfusions didn’t have to be separated by blood type. During World War II, Drew set up the world’s first large-scale blood banks to help wounded soldiers. Drew’s accomplishments as a black doctor were even more impressive in an age of limited opportunity for African Americans."

Very smart fella but notice even after praising his research they still mentioned the limited opportunity of Blacks. If that was the case then how did this Black Doctor manage it?

It shows even back then, regardless of color, work hard and you can achieve. Today everyone wants it given to them.

According to a 3rd grade art teacher I had, and she was totally adamant on this point, is that "black and white are not colors. They are tones."

So all you yellow, brown & red folks are colored. I get that way when I lay in the sun so I'm with ya part of the time and the rest I'm an "Undertone"  :)
