Trump Tells Jeff Sessions To End Mueller Investigation "Right Now"

President Trump was later then normal to take to his Twitter account this morning, but nevertheless provided a triumvirate of tweets that doubled down on his views of the Russia probe and what should be done about it.

Trump began with a two-fer tweet, quoting Alan Dershowitz:

FBI Agent Peter Strzok (on the Mueller team) should have recused himself on day one. He was out to STOP THE ELECTION OF DONALD TRUMP. He needed an insurance policy. Those are illegal, improper goals, trying to influence the Election. He should never, ever been allowed to remain in the FBI while he himself was being investigated. This is a real issue. It won’t go into a Mueller Report because Mueller is going to protect these guys. Mueller has an interest in creating the illusion of objectivity around his investigation.

And then Trump took aim at his own AG, demanding the probe be shut down "right now"...

Sessions, who has recused himself from supervising the Mueller investigation, didn’t immediately respond to the president’s tweet. Sarah Isgur Flores, a spokeswoman for the Justice Department, declined to comment.

Trump said last summer he would have chosen a different attorney general had he known Sessions would recuse himself from supervising the investigation of election interference. Trump has periodically launched barrages of public attacks on Sessions related to the special counsel’s investigation.

Trump’s tweet was immediately condemned by some Democratic lawmakers as a blatant attempt to obstruct justice:

“The President of the United States just called on his Attorney General to put an end to an investigation in which the President, his family and campaign may be implicated," Representative Adam Schiff of California, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said on Twitter. "This is an attempt to obstruct justice hiding in plain sight. America must never accept it."

However, Trump was not done as he made sure the American public understand his relationship with Paul Manafort..."These old charges have nothing to do with Collusion - a Hoax!"

And once again pinned the blame on the real colluders..."The Democrats paid for the phony and discredited Dossier which was, along with Comey, McCabe, Strzok and his lover, the lovely Lisa Page, used to begin the Witch Hunt. Disgraceful!"

Part of this is true.

Just maybe Sessions is running a tight ship with no leaks?

The only thing that's tight is good 'ol Jeff after he has hammered some Pappy Van Winkle. Then he needs to take a leak, but sadly he has fallen and can't get up. Our Justice Department, in a blind stupor trying to pin the tail on the Donkey. Good luck.

"You have to understand that Trump will give someone their shot and allow them to fuck it all up before being fired.

They will all be fired.  Soon."

Yeah, but in the mean time they'll ruin the country?! What about "draining the swamp?" Although not very credible considering Trump's arrogance and billionaire status, one could argue that Tillerson and Mnuchin were "beginner's mistakes" but how can the biggest Trump fanboy buy the more recent hires like Pompeo, Haspel and Bolton.

A blind person can see that hose are all part of the DEEPEST of the Deep State, but Trump couldn't because he 'wants to give them their shot?' Are you fucking kidding me?! How blind and naive are you?!

Collusion? Absolutely, however most probably not with 'zee Rushians' but instead with the Deep State, Israel/Netanyahu and the MIC. It was painstakingly obvious from day one, just look at Trump's campaign promises!

I wish I could upvote you 1,000 times.

We're going to give the fox a shot at guarding the hen house. No matter that every fox that ever got under the fence around the hen house killed all the chickens. Maybe this time Bolton, I mean, the fox will do the right thing.

Such ridiculous desperation on display as the Trump supporters hope he will give them their Utopia.

Wrong.  Fail.  All of you.

Remember Sessions recused himself from the Russia investigation, which is why Rosenstein is on the hot seat.  And Trump decided to leave Hillary alone, because it is a bad precedent to attack the losing side with the legal system.

Not saying those were the right choices, but it does explain why Sessions appears to be out to lunch/sleeping.

This has been going on for years. I'm guessing that his last name, powow, must have been reported by enough people that he got banned again. Still, he has plenty more names to use:

But there must be very strong evidence yet undisclosed.   Something serious enough to raid Cohens office.  Nobody signs up for that without utmost serious and extremely powerful material evidence.

Ecuador dumping Assange points to some powerful evidence connected to him too.

The undisclosed evidence likely pins Sessions pawn, as the chess analogy goes.

Some top Republicans must know of the strength of the undisclosed evidence, as they have repeatedly validated the investigation as having merit.

“Some top Republicans must know”

Must they?

It’s just as likely that GOP elites lividly hate Trump’s populism.

His victory wrecked their plans to cap their endless whining in the Obama era with a thumb sucking Obama-lite of their own in Jeb or Marco.

Do not forget how, either: by chumping those boys as useless sellouts while also pissing on the ghastly fiascos in Af-Iraq.

Trump illustrated again why money had always demonized populism: too much truth may be spoken over an open mic in earshot of the people...who might just respond positively. This “investigation” is money’s revenge.

The new president in Ecuador was a friend and recommended by the last president, after which once elected, brought fake charges of corruption against the old pres.  All the great humanitarian work the last guy did with community hospitals, roads, schools etc have been destroyed by the new guy.  He is a one piece of shit and we will be reading about him loading garbage bags full of stolen tax funds onto his personal jet to escape prosecution in the nik of time.. Or they will fry him.  That being said, the reason he is kicking Assange out has nothing to do with dirt. Its all about money with this guy.  I wouldn't be surprised if he kicked him out after the first two rounds of blackmail money weren't enough and/or Julian simply ran out of cash (I.e. usefulness).

Why oh why did Trump ever hire Deep State people like Jeff Sessions, Bolton, Mattis, Haspel and Mnuchin?!

People said he was so smart and as a business man he claimed that would "hire the best people."

I guess it was just the usual hot air/bullshit that we've seen from Trump...

"Have any of you guys considered the fact that maybe he is running investigations behind the scenes that have not been leaked?"

he's been too busy instituting Sharia law ... moar virtue signalling by the virtueless

On Monday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced the creation of a “Religious Liberty Task Force” that will enforce a 2017 DOJ memo ordering federal agencies to take the broadest possible interpretation of “religious liberty” when enforcing federal laws.
