Weekend Reading - Markets in Uncertainty

For more FREE market intelligence visit AskBrokers.com

Another week of continued uncertainty in the markets. On the geopolitical front Huawei CFO received house-arrest in Canada ahead of potential extradition to the U.S. China did not respond kindly, with detaining two different Canadian citizens who seem to have broken Chinese laws. Economy wise, appears the Chinese economy finally seeing some pressure from the trade-war. In Europe, Teresa May survived a no-vote of confidence in the U.K while at the same time facing trouble with the EU trying to re-negotiate Brexit terms. In the U.S. banks continue to underperform in the current environment. On the political front, things continue as normal. Nothing new beyond Democrats pushing back against the Republicans and President Trump and vice versa. Otherwise, the Mueller’s probe appears to be getting closer to President Trump and the people around him.  Next week is the final week before the holiday. The Federal Reserve have their meeting which is probably the most important thing on the calendar during the week.
