I’m on the roof of city hall and something is happening. People are running including what looks to be cops and security pic.twitter.com/FEbhw88OqI— Jennifer Pagliaro (@jpags) June 17, 2019

Unsettling reports of the crowd's response to the incident flooded twitter.
Stephanie Agostinis told me she was standing at Bay and Queen when she heard a “pop, pop” and everyone started running. She went into Hudson’s Bay 1/2— Jennifer Pagliaro (@jpags) June 17, 2019
Was confusion about what happened so came back outside. Within 5-7 mins there was another round of “pop, pop, pop, pop,” Agostinis said. “And everybody started running back inside Hudson’s Bay and then people just kept running.” She heard a woman was hurt but didn’t see her. 2/2— Jennifer Pagliaro (@jpags) June 17, 2019
According to media reports, the ceremony will continue, despite the shooting.
