The founders of Black Lives Matters are:
- Alicia Garza
- Patrisse Cullors
- Opal Tometi
Alicia Garza said at a public forum in 2015:
It’s not possible for a world to emerge where black lives matter if it’s under capitalism. And it’s not possible to abolish capitalism without a struggle against national oppression and gender oppression.
Patrisse Cullors said in a 2015 interview:
Myself and Alicia [Garza] in particular are trained organizers. We are trained Marxists. We are super-versed on, sort of, ideological theories.
Opal Tometi tweeted in 2015:
Currently in Venezuela. Such a relief to be in a place where there is intelligent political discourse.
A few months later, Tometi wrote:
In these last 17 years, we have witnessed the Bolivarian Revolution champion participatory democracy and construct a fair, transparent election system recognized as among the best in the world ...
We offer this expression of our unwavering solidarity with the progressive and revolutionary Venezuelan people as they reflect, regroup and rectify to defend the Bolivarian Revolution.
So Ms. Tometi is a big fan of that socialist utopia where unicorns poop out rainbow Skittles, Venezuela.
And a Chinese organization with communist party ties funds a Black Lives Matter-related venture.
New connections between BLM and communism are being uncovered all of the time.
Postscript: Protecting innocent people against murder is a good thing. Spreading communism is something else entirely ...
