Report Acknowledges EcoHealth Alliance Experiments as GoF Before NIH Funding was Approved

The COVID lab leak theory has become the COVID lab leak cover up. For nearly two years, the likes of Anthony Fauci, Francis Collins, and other members of the NIH/NIAID/CDC/FDA cartel have confirmed what has been attested to be the true origin of SARS-CoV-2. However, the narrative of their response to the premise has shifted from infallable denial to entertaining the premise they once entirely dismissed. According to them, this change is evidence of a scientific position that bases its integrity in a commitment to objective self-correction. To the more discerning mind, it reeks of a limited hangout to shroud the true extent of their involvement as a measure of damage control.

Throughout pandemic figurehead Anthony Fauci's wavering position on the lab leak theory, he has remained steadfast in his denial that the funding his NIAID office provided to the Wuhan Institute of Virology via EcoHealth Alliance knowingly approved a gain-of-function research. This point of contention has thrust Fauci's role in the development of SARS-CoV-2 into the spotlight, particularly from his heated exchanges with Kentucky Senator Rand Paul and further inquiry made by the House Oversight Committee. If Senator Paul has been reticent on advancing a criminal referral regarding Fauci lying to congress about his previous knowledge of GoF funding at the WIV, reports obtained by Project Veritas may be enough to convince him to expedite that pursuit.

A report issued to the Inspector General of the Department of Defense by US Marine Corp Major Joseph Murphy on August 13th, 2021 provides evidence that EcoHealth Alliance acknowledged that the experiment it sought funding for at WIV was indeed gain-of-function in nature from the beginning. Previously, Dr. Fauci elucidated that the extent of EcoHealth Alliance's research was shrouded from the NIAID's view because of the organizations failure to file timely updates on its progress. However, a newly uncovered rejection notice of this research proposal from the Biological Technology Office of DARPA shows that the federal government knew the funding application filed by Peter Paszak was expressly for gain of function research.

The notice provides Daszak and EcoHealth Alliance with a comprehensive review of the basis for the rejection of funding for what was dubbed the DEFUSE Project by the applicant. Findings explaining the denial follow as:

1. The proposal is considered to potentially involve GoF/DURC research because they propose to synthesize spike glycoproteins which bind to human cell receptors and insert them into SARSr-CoV backbones to assess whether they can cause SARS-like disease.

2. However the proposal does not mention or assess potential risks of Gain of Function (GoF) research.

It is clear that the proposed DEFUSE project led by Peter Daszak could have put local communities at risk by failing to consider the following issues:
- Gain of Function
- Dual Use Research of Concern
- Vaccine epitope coverage
- Regulatory requirements
- ELSI (ethical, legal, and social issues)
- Data Usage

The funding application filed by Daszak with DARPA was submitted in March 2018, months before he would turn to the NIH for funding following its rejection. The funding application finally approved by the NIH was submitted in November 2018, over half of a year later. With rejection of the DEFUSE Project on the basis of the risks presented by gain-of-function research openly acknowledged by DARPA, it's clear that both Daszak and the federal government were aware of this nature of the experiments before they were approved by Fauci, et al. at the NIH.

Beyond the denial of Daszak's funding request by DARPA, Major Murphy's report to the Inspector General of the Department of Defense acknowledges that both ivermectin and hydroxychloriquine has been identified as curative treatments for COVID-19 in April 2020. Major Murphy's report cites that a determination of the potential of those therapeutic treatments was completed long before they were rejected by the Faucian brain trust that held the position that vaccines should be the near sole focus of the US pandemic response.

If any doubt existed about Fauci and the NIH knowing that they were funding gain of function research at WIV via Peter Daszak and EcoHealth Alliance, the documents revealed by Project Veritas shred any shadow of a doubt completely apart. With growing pressure on Fauci from the House Oversight Committee and others, these documents revealed from DARPA should be reason to accelerate investigation into Fauci's role in the funding of the experiments that led to the COVID-19 pandemic and the criminal cover up he led once he was put at the helm of the US pandemic response.

With as close to a smoking gun to be discovered yet, any lack of that initiative clearly conveys that holding him to any standard of accountability is hopeless. At the very least, Peter Daszak's maneuvering around existing restrictions and regulations on gain-of-research is made apparent. It's just as clear that when he came to Anthony Fauci and the NIH, they had every reason to understand that the funding they approved would be for gain-of-function experiments. The only thing that isn't clear is how long neither party will remain unpunished.
