George Milling-Stanley, State Street Global Advisors Head of Gold Strategy, joined Yahoo Finance Live to discuss the outlook for gold futures in relation to equity markets, expected Fed policies, inflation, and cryptocurrency trends. We pulled a couple key clips to start you off. In the first one the long time respected analyst gave his take on why the outflows may not have been as bad as the news hyped it.

Milling-Stanley continued when asked about Gold's disappointing 2021 performance:
Both of those figures are way ahead of the long-term average capital appreciation in the gold price, which is around 7 and 3/4 percent. So we were running way ahead of ourselves, for obvious reasons. So something of a slowdown in 2021, I think, was to be expected.
