A Little-Known Fact About Interracial Crime Rates

In a post earlier this month ("Bring The Pain"), we wrote about a white teen who was tragically stabbed in the heart by young black man.

In that post, we noted that the black homicide rate is approximately 10x that of the white rate. That probably didn't surprise many of you, but this next fact may: the homicide rate of black women is about 2.5x that of white men (Data via the FBI). A homicide a few days ago in Kansas City exemplified this.

Another Black-On-White Stabbing Death

Our correspondent in Kansas City, CG, writes:

Given that you are from the east coast, you might find this story interesting.     I doubt it will get much traction nationwide since the characters have now been identified.

We have a local murder story in Kansas City that is just unfolding.    Early on the morning of April 27, a Kansas City paramedic was stabbed in the heart by a patient he was treating.    He was taken to a major hospital and died about 12 hours later.

The first link is to a local story that identifies the paramedic:

A few hours after the paramedic died, they released the identity of the murderer.   The only surprise is that it was a female.

But there is an interesting twist.  It turns out that she had been arrested on April 23rd for biting a police officer.  She posted bond which is why she was on the streets early this morning when she stabbed the paramedic.

Ironically, here is a local story from yesterday, April 26th, which reported on her potential 10-year sentence for assaulting the policeman.    This story came out just a few hours before she would go on to stab the paramedic around 1:25 am on April 27th.

I doubt this story will get much coverage beyond Kansas City.   What surprises me is that it happened in Clay County which contains the part of Kansas City, Missouri that is north of the Missouri river.   Most of Kansas City lies in Jackson County.    The difference between Clay and Jackson counties, separated by the river, is probably something close to the difference between Staten Island and the other boroughs of NYC.

In a nutshell, a black woman, Shanetta Bossell, was arrested while attempting to break into a policeman's personal car last week. The policeman arrested her, and she resisted, seriously biting his arm. She was released on a $10,000 bond on Friday.

Then, on Saturday night/early Sunday morning, another policeman saw this woman walking along a highway, bleeding from her hand. He called EMS, and when the ambulance arrived and the paramedic opened its back doors, she stabbed him in the heart. She then attempted to steal the ambulance and drive off with it. A cop stopped her, and in the process of arresting her, she bit him too. He had to hit her in the head multiple times with his service weapon until she let go.

She is now being held on $1,000,000 bond, pending a hearing next week.

Let's see if this one raises a half million dollars in a GoFundMe like the family of the stabber in Texas.

On Another Topic

Let's wrap this post up on a positive note.

We have an interesting pair of trades teed up for later today. A coal miner that might be transitioning into an independent power producer, with an AI/datacenter client already signed. We should know one way or another within the next month or so. We've got two trades teed on on this one: a bullish one that should do well if the deal goes through, and a bearish one that should do well if it doesn't. As long as this stock moves strongly one way or another after the news hits, we should have a good chance of making money.

If you'd like a heads up when we place that trade, feel free to sign up for our trading Substack/occasional email list below.
