Canada Faces 'World of Hurt' If FBI's Dire Warnings Ignored - Sam Cooper

Washington’s patience is wearing thin. Once a trusted intelligence ally, Canada is now viewed by some U.S. officials as a liability within the Five Eyes alliance. Investigative journalist Sam Cooper tells Daniela Cambone that quiet diplomatic concern is giving way to open calls—like those from Peter Navarro—to eject Canada altogether.

Over the past decade, Cooper warns, Canada has become “a hub for operations that affect U.S. domestic safety,” thanks to unchecked Chinese Communist Party influence and lax enforcement on issues like fentanyl trafficking. Intelligence failures, political complacency, and foreign interference have turned Canada into what some fear is a Trojan Horse in North American security.

“We’re in for a world of hurt in Canada if we don’t take the CCP threat seriously,” Cooper says. As geopolitical tensions rise, the U.S. may soon decide it can’t afford to share secrets with a compromised partner.
