Netanyahu Government Cybersecurity Director Arrested In US For Child Sex Crimes Flees To Israel
Update: The US State Department Office of Near Eastern Affairs has disavowed the claim that the Trump administration secured the release of Tom Artiom Alexandrovich to facilitate his return to Israel.
The Department of State is aware that Tom Artiom Alexandrovich, an Israeli citizen, was arrested in Las Vegas and given a court date for charges related to soliciting sex electronically from a minor. He did not claim diplomatic immunity and was released by a state judge pending a…

The failure of the Trump administration to live up to its promise of complete transparency by refusing to release the Epstein Files™ has added fuel to the fire over speculation that the disgraced pedophile was operating as a spy for the Israeli government. That speculation has beckoned questions not only about Epstein's connection to the Israeli government but also about the lengths that the United States has gone to suppress revelations about child sex crimes linked to Israel. Following the arrest of a top cybersecurity official in the Netanyahu government, concerns about the US government's role in protecting Israeli operatives involved in crimes against children have arisen yet again.

Tom Artiom Alexandrovich was one of eight arrested on felony charges of luring a child with a computer for a sex act in Henderson, Nevada, as part of a two-week-long sting operation conducted by the Nevada Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and FBI's Child Exploitation Task Force with the assistance of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. According to Alexandrovich's LinkedIn profile, he serves as a senior official in the Netanyahu government as an executive director within the Israel National Cyber Directorate, specializing in the application of artificial intelligence on defense systems. Alexandrovich was in the Las Vegas metropolitan area to attend Black Hat 2025, an annual cybersecurity conference providing consulting, training, and briefings to hackers, corporations, and government agencies held since 1997.
The 2025 edition of the cybersecurity conference was held from August 2nd to the 7th at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. According to booking records from the LVMPD, Alexandrovich was arrested on August 7th, the last day of the conference. However, it was not until the LVMPD issued an official press release about the success of their sting operation on August 15th that Alexandrovich's arrest drew public attention. By the time the press release was issued, Alexandrovich was already able to return to Israel after being released on a $10,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for August 27th before Henderson Justice Court Judge Barbara Schifalacquia.
Upon his return to Israel, government officials and media outlets acted in concert by downplaying the arrest despite the severity of the charges brought against Alexandrovich and their inescapable political implications. Although the press release from the LVMPD issued after the sting operation indicated Alexandrovich was indeed arrested, a fact confirmed by the police department's arrest logs, an official statement from the Office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu offered an account distorting the reality of what transpired. “A state employee who traveled to the US for professional matters was questioned by American authorities during his stay....The employee, who does not hold a diplomatic visa, was not arrested and returned to Israel as scheduled,” the statement read, outright denying the arrest in the face of irrefutable proof to the contrary.
Upon his return to Israel, Alexandrovich was subsequently placed on paid leave from his position in the Israeli National Cyber Directorate. Despite that action serving as a tacit acknowledgment of the charges brought against Alexandrovich, the directorate remarked upon his arrest with the same stunning contrived ambiguity as the prime minister's office. Representatives from the directorate stated that they “had not yet received official details from US authorities,” and that “if and when such details are received, the directorate will act accordingly.”

Israeli news outlet Ynet aided the Netanyahu regime's propaganda aimed at whitewashing the arrest by stating that an anonymous employee of the Israel National Cyber Directorate was merely “briefly detained for questioning” by Las Vegas police, refusing to mention Alexandrovich by name or to acknowledge that he was arrested.
The Israel Police took the same tenor as Ynet and officials within the Netanyahu government by offering little in the way of clarity when pressed by media about the arrest. "As a general rule, any complaint or information that raises suspicion of committing a criminal offense is examined by the police, and where there is a reasonable basis for suspicion of committing a criminal offense, and according to each case and its circumstances, an investigation is opened. We do not provide details regarding the existence or non-existence of investigations, and this does not confirm or deny their very existence," they stated. The Israel Police themselves are organized under the country's Ministry of National Security, which is headed by Itamar Ben-Gvir, a man known for treating criminals across Israel with impunity so long as their crimes conform with his Jewish supremacist worldview. As such, there is significant doubt about the integrity of any formal investigation into Alexandrovich's crimes under the leadership of Ben-Gvir.
However, the effort to obscure the charges brought against Alexandrovich from public scrutiny did not go entirely unchallenged across the landscape of Israeli media. The Jerusalem Post, prominent Israeli media outlet, deviated from attempts others took to sanitize the arrest. They not only referred to Alexandrovich by name but also confirmed that he was arrested. The Jerusalem Post article covering the arrest also detailed Alexandrovich's extensive work history in cybersecurity, highlighting his role in Israel's Cyber Dome program aimed at protecting the country from cyber attacks, the role he played in shaping Israel's national cybersecurity policies, and him being awarded the Israel Defense Prize for his career accomplishments. Their account of Alexandrovich's career conveyed the high-ranking status he holds within the Netanyahu government. Other Israeli news outlets, including the Times of Israel, offered comprehensive reporting on the arrest of Alexandrovich as well.
Although the premise of Alexandrovich being able to return to Israel despite being arrested for child sex crimes should be one of sheer absurdity, it follows a long and disturbing track record of the country providing refuge to Jewish pedophiles. For decades, Jewish Americans implicated in sex crimes against children have claimed Aliyah, which provides them with automatic citizenship to Israel under the Law of Return, to avoid being arrested for their crimes.
An American organization named Jewish Community Watch, which tracks pedophiles evading justice, reported over 60 suspects who have fled the US for Israel by claiming Aliyah from 2014 to 2020 alone. JCW Chief Operating Officer Shana Aaronson detailed how failures from US and Israeli law enforcement alike have allowed pedophiles to find a safe haven in Israel. She has criticized the US government for not aggressively pursuing extraditions as well as the Israeli government for failing to vet immigrants claiming their Right of Return and prioritize the arrest of suspected pedophiles using the Law of Return to their advantage.
for decades now pedophiles and rapists have used Israel's racist "Law of Return", which restricts the right of immigration to those with Jewish ancestry, to escape prosecution by moving to Israel. Israel provides safe haven to pedophiles and rapists, but bans Palestinians pic.twitter.com/0s5bUZEoO0

While Alexandrovich was already an Israeli citizen before returning to the country following his arrest and did not need to exploit the Law of Return, his prominent position in government raises suspicions about how he was able to flee the US to begin with. A lone report from Shaun King of The North Star claimed that the Trump administration intervened to secure the release of Alexandrovich. King claims that officers involved in the sting operation confirmed that claim with him. However, the allegation lacks any proof and is contradicted by available evidence from court records showing that Alexandrovich was charged and released on bond.
King, a contributor to the Daily Kos, Young Turks, the New York Daily News, and a prominent organizer involved with Black Lives Matter, has a long track record of reporting false claims. In 2023, King falsely claimed to have worked with Hamas and Qatari officials to secure the release of Israeli hostages in Gaza. Families of those hostages vehemently rejected King's claim. The family of Natalie Raanan, an Israeli hostage released by Hamas in October 2023, categorically denied that King played any part in negotiating her release. Following King's report, the Ranaan family released a statement that read "First and foremost, we make it clear that he is lying! Our family does not and did not have anything to do with him, neither directly nor indirectly. Not to him and not to anything he claims to represent."
Shaun King is so shameful. The Ranaan family has made a statement: "Judith and Natalie have no idea who Shaun King is. They heard about him and the post [of him claiming credit] for the first time only after they were released." https://t.co/8doFJYBfBD

In addition to his track record of fabricating reports to advance his public image, King's overt opposition to Trump all but erases any credibility to his claim that the president's administration was involved in securing the release of Alexandrovich. The LVMPD has yet to respond to a public information request either confirming or denying King's claim and has offered no indication of working under the directive of the Trump administration.
Despite the claim made by King implicating the Trump administration in aiding the return of Alexandrovich to Israel having no legitimacy, it was not embraced by fervent opponents of the president alone. Disenfranchised supporters of Trump were also quick to take the report seriously. That willingness to accept the unsubstantiated allegation conveys a shift in the Overton Window toward a purview showing the extent of the distrust that Americans have over Israel and the influence it wields over the US government. While the charges brought against Alexandrovich do not reach the magnitude of the crimes committed by Jeffrey Epstein, the course of the criminal action brought against him falls under the shadow of the Epstein Files™ debacle, highlighting the reverberations of a controversy that cannot be ignored by the Trump administration anymore than the increasingly deteriorating public sentiment for US relations with Israel can be.
