The social media intern operating the official Twitter account of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) thought they were witty on Valentine's Day to tweet a snitch campaign to turn in ex-lovers for "illegal gun activity."
"Valentine's Day can still be fun even if you broke up. Do you have information about a former (or current) partner involved in illegal gun activity?" the ATF tweeted.
Valentine's Day can still be fun even if you broke up. Do you have information about a former (or current) partner involved in illegal gun activity? Let us know, and we will make sure it's a Valentine's Day to remember! Call 1-888-ATF-TIPS or email ATFTips@atf.gov. pic.twitter.com/OdDIPdIzkr— ATF HQ (@ATFHQ) February 14, 2022
"Let us know, and we will make sure it's a Valentine's Day to remember!" the tweet continued.
The Justice Department automatically retweeted the tweet and came as the Biden administration is preparing to wage war on law-abiding gun owners this spring.
The tweet immediately backfired as countless people provided a tip to the ATF of "Robert Hunter Biden," the president's son, who lied on ATF Form 4473, also known as a Firearms Transaction Record, about concealing his history of illegal drug use during a firearms purchase in 2018.
He's not a former or current partner, but here's a tip regarding an illegal gun purchase.— Deb Heine, Dissident (@NiceDeb) February 14, 2022

My ex likes to get high, wave his gun around, and then toss it in public dumpsters.— Maze (@mazemoore) February 14, 2022
I thought he loved me until he told me he wanted someone much younger. His name is Hunter Biden. https://t.co/UaPIBotzi3

Hunter Biden lied on a Form 4473 to purchase a gun he wasn't legally allowed to possess. Is that still a crime, or is it okay if you're the corrupt, crackhead son of the president? https://t.co/oPTAbUPeYH— Sean Davis (@seanmdav) February 14, 2022
As we've noted, on a "Firearms Transaction Record, there's a question on the form about drug addiction. It's a yes or no question, and answering yes leads to disqualification of being able to purchase a firearm. "
Overwhelmingly, Twitter users were disgusted by ATF's tweet. One person said, "these people are insane."
Someone even told Twitter Support that the ATF's tweet "is a case of using your platform to insight swatting."
Meanwhile, corrupt corporate media does not report the Hunter Biden dumpster gun story. This is one of the most blatant examples of how liberal elites (many of whom are anti-gun) protect their friends and families and are above the law.
