Remember VIX in mid August?

We are seeing some small, but still noteworthy divergences between VIX and the SPX lately. SPX has moved higher, but VIX is refusing to go all exuberant. At this stage you just watch this divergence, but it is starting to show similarities to the mid August reversal in markets.
