U.S. Inventory Cycle Shows Signs of Turning
There are signs...
The shift is no longer theoretical. The U.S. inventory cycle is turning and faster than expected. What looked like a late Q2 story is already unfolding. Inventories appear to have bottomed in December, with orders picking up and stock levels tightening. The re-stocking phase is kicking in. Ports are seeing it too, with inbound volumes set to return to growth, while importers are already preparing for stronger demand. The inventory cycle doesn’t ring a bell at the bottom, but this time, it’s getting pretty close.
