President Donald Trump’s new “complete blockade” on sanctioned oil tankers entering and leaving Venezuela could effectively shut down the country’s oil exports, according to Chris Kennedy and team from Bloomberg Economics.
That would deepen pressure on Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro’s government, which depends on oil sales for more than 95% of overseas revenue and a majority of its state budget.
