Ambassador Confirms: Only One Issue Is Blocking US-Russia Deal On Ukraine

On trilateral peace talks (US, Russia, Ukraine), Washington has seemed eager and in an hurry to reach a final deal, but Moscow less so. President Putin has lately described that all military objectives will be decided either through a lasting peace which comes on Russia's terms, or on the battlefield.

Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov gave just such an assessment following the Russian leader's weekend meeting with US envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner. He told reporters: "The situation is unfolding at a high pace. The Americans are making haste as mediators; they are in a hurry, and it’s understandable."
