Mr. Xi Comes To Washington: What Wall Street Banks Are Expecting

Xi Jinping landed at Joint Base Andrews on Wednesday afternoon to something no Chinese leader has received in more than a decade: the President of the United States waiting on the tarmac. Tomorrow - an arrival ceremony on the South Lawn, a troop review, several rounds of bilateral talks and a black-tie state dinner with Jensen Huang, Elon Musk, Sam Altman and the heads of Apple and Qualcomm at the tables. On Friday, Xi gets private tea with the Trumps and a tour of the National Archives before flying home. It is his first White House visit since September 2015, and the second Trump-Xi summit in four months.

Salty Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS) who chairs the Armed Services Committee, told AP that Trump should not have extended the invitation at all, "based on all of the troubling issues we have with President Xi and the Chinese Communist Party."
