Big Tech Hugs The Sierra Club, Gold Rips 3%: McElligott Decodes The "Glass Half-Full" Blue Tsunami Trade
Shocker: the world is still intact.
That, more or less, is how Nomura's cross-asset guru Charlie McElligott opened his morning-after note, and it is a fair summary of the last 12 hours. Emini S&P futures puked from around 7,630 to a low of 7,490 as the blue wave turned into a "blue tsunami", then ripped almost 200 points to 7,687 once Trump told Fox "we can work with Democrats, hope not to have to veto". A 2.6% round trip, all before most of America woke up.
