Oracle's Massive "Project Jupiter" Data Center Declares Force Majeure, Jeopardizing Entire US AI Rollout

Two days ago, when we discussed the startling news that loans backing one of the world's largest data centers - Oracle's massive $165 billion Project Jupiter located on a 1,400 acres campus in Dona Ana country, New Mexico and which is projected to power 2.45GW of compute when it is completed - had tumbled into stressed territory and were trading below 90 cents on the dollar due to a surge in project delays due to fierce local opposition over concerns about its impact on the local area’s water supply and air quality, as well as outcry about the gas emissions from the company's contracted energy provider, Bloom Energy, we warned that "Project Jupiter’s initial phase is as of this moment at least seven months behind its proposed date to come online. It was expected to be completed by November this year. It won't be; in fact it may not be completed for years."
