Stocks Shrug Off AAPL Angst; Dollar Up, Bonds Down Into 'Dem Sweep' Midterms
Tl;dr: Stronger than expected macro (opposite-land from yesterday) and lower physical oil prices (flood of supply and diplomacy hope trumped US attacks) offset any angst about AAPL's overnight disappointment, pulling stocks (AI/Tech led) and bond yields higher on the day. The long-end underperformed as growth hopes dominated inflation fears (plus heavy corporate supply) and that helped pull the dollar higher, spoiling the early gains in gold. Bitcoin bounced along with tech stocks ahead of AMD and Midterms results.
