What Trump's Proposed Credit Card Overhaul Means For The Industry: Goldman Deep Dive
On Tuesday January 13th, President Trump indicated on Truth Social his support for Senators Roger Marshall and Richard Durbin’s 2022/3 Credit Card Competition Act (CCCA).
The proposal introduces requirements for credit card issuers with over $100bn in assets to offer merchants the ability to process transactions over at least two unaffiliated credit card networks, and the second network cannot be either Visa or Mastercard.
